Cradle of Humankind & Wonder Cave Tour
The cradle of humankind was very interactive, much more than some fossils in a museum. The cave was beautiful but be ready for the 87 steps!

Namibia and Victoria Falls Zimbabwe tour.
The tour guide was not very explanatory in explaining certain things that would have made for a more wholeaome cultural experience. It also was not explained that we would have to pay for a visa going to Zimbabwe.

Upon arrival I was picked up by the Africa moja shuttle vehicle, which was spacious, had air conditioning, and a very sweet driver. The pick-up was from the airport to Sandton and it was honestly a lovely experience

          Marvin, just marv-elous!
Marvin did the best job ever. He was so kind, passionate and patient as well. I could spend as much time as I wished to at the sights, he took great pictures of me and explained a lot to me about history, society and daily life in SA. I had the feeling to be with a friend and brother at all times. He also cared a lot about safety and comfort while driving and guiding me around. Marvin is just awesome! Thank you so much, my dear friend!

          Must experience tour!
Spectacular views and an overall amazing experience at the falls. We arrived at the park early in the morning and were greeted by our guide who handled the purchase of our entrance tickets. We embarked on a tour of outstanding viewpoints and learned some important history. Later that day, we went on a cruise down the Zambezi river and was awed my the spectacular wildlife. Its was an overall great time. Food in the area is great too. There were many options within walking distance of our hotel and the service and atmosphere were charming. I would definitely recommend visiting

          Victoria Falls Experience
We had an incredible experience with Africa Moja Tours. Everything was meticulously planned, and we thoroughly enjoyed the amazing views. The kids had a fantastic time, and we appreciated learning about the history of the Mosi oa Tunya Falls. The hotel was lovely and accommodating, and the food was delicious. Highly recommend traveling with Africa Moja Tours.

A day full of positive sunny emotions in Johannesburg
Gorgeous views and sunshine. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable tour guides. I didn’t expect to see so many animals as we saw. And the cave- it’s really a wonder cave, full of evolutionary magic. Special thanks to the Moja Tours guide Mr Marvin, who took me to that tour. He provided extra knowledges and kindness to make the day memorable.

Short yet memorable! 2 days, 1 night at Kruger.
We did a short 2-day, 1-night Kruger NP Safari. We were picked up from our hotel in Pretoria by Michael, our driver in a large very comfortable AC van. The 5-hour drive was very nice with a lunch break before we reached our lodge. The lodge was very cute and clean with a wonderful view. We went on the afternoon game drive with our guide Given, who was very knowledgeable and friendly. We saw some animals then. The next morning we left the lodge at 4:45 am. And Given worked very hard to get us to see all big fives, but the Rhino. We were happy with all we could see within the short trip. n Johannesburg. All the staff were friendly and attentive to our needs. Africa Moja did make our trip memorable. Michael later transported us to the airport.

The actual tour of the museum and cave is quite wonderful. Lots of detail and interesting artifacts.

However, anyone going on this tour should know that the cave experience is not easy for older people who cannot easily bend under low ceilings or go through narrow entrances. We happened to be on a cave tour with someone who required significant help from the guide and others to finish the tour. It was quite harrowing at times.

I would also add that we were picked up at 8 am, and told 15 minutes later that the tour company wanted us to pick up a new vehicle in Pretoria so that another couple could join us. We didn't understand that going to Pretoria would add about 2 hours to the day. What was supposed to be a 7-8 hour day became a 10 hour day. We agreed to the change but wouldn't do the same if asked again. I am disappointed that the tour company asked us to make this change given the consequences.

Hello Craig, Thank you for the feedback. On the first issue at the Sterkfontein caves the Guides at the caves normally ask if you can go to the caves and if you have any underlining conditions. Also on our tour itinerary we have stated that the caves are narrow and sometimes not advisable for old people or people with immediate difficulties. On the second issue about the distance, please note these is a shared tour and not a Private tour and sometimes we have to pick people from various locations. We normally do plan for these and our goal is to make sure the tour goes well as per the itinerary. We value your feedback and thank you for touring with Africa Moja Tours.

The tour operator canceled one hour after my scheduled pick up at my hotel for the tour. No explanation, only citing unforeseen circumstances. I sent a note to confirm my booking a week before the scheduled tour date, got no response. After waiting an hour for my pick up, I sent a follow up note and got the above response. What an utter waste of my time. Don’t bother with this tour Operator, is my recommendation.

Ask for Nic , he was absolutely knowledgeable and a good guide throughout the day. The conversations on a wide range of subjects made the tour memorable. The Cradle of human kind is a must visit if you are in Johannesburg. I would recommend the full day tour.

They bill it as the cradle of humankind which Ethiopia is. However it is full of real achealogical sites that you can just imagine in your mind what life was like and images that show how life evolved from a in-depth scientific perspective I haven't really thought of before. Apparetly it was a sight where they found over 1000 prehumans. very cool and the guide was great! leave him a donation!

I went on a full day Cradle of Human Kind and Sterkfontein Caves Tour with MoAfrika Tours. It was a full interesting tour and I wish it lasted longer than the 5 1/2 hours we were given. Just a word of warning, this tour although it says a full day it does not provide time for a lunch stop so make sure you bring something to eat and drink to have on the bus.

Visiting Joburg in the winter, my friends and I struggled a bit to find ways to spend our time. On a last minute whim we decided to book this tour (we called/booked at 9:00 and they picked us up same day at 10:30!) and it was a great decision.

This was our second time using this company and we were pleased again. Our driver Sharif was excellent - a very pleasant man and a good driver.

We were picked up around 10:30, and drove to the Cradle (took about 30 minutes without traffic). Sharif had bottled water for us in the car. Our first stop was the Sterkfontein Caves. A cave guide took us through and was very knowledgeable - it was a fun experience and we loved how involved it was. After the cave we met back up with Sharif, who drove us to the Maropeng Visitor Center.

At the center we sat down for lunch (included in the tour price) before heading inside the museum. The exhibits were interesting and highly interactive. Definitely had a “science museum” vibe more than just “history museum”. All of the content was intriguing and informative, but it didn’t feel too heavy or exhausting like a lot of museums can.

We finished with the museum by about 15:00 and Sharif took us back to our accommodations.

Overall we enjoyed everything the tour had to offer. You could certainly do this on your own (find transport to/from cradle, buy lunch, pay entrance fees) and it would be cheaper, but the convenience and peace of mind offered was worth it to us.

We were picked up at our hotel and given a bottle of water and a box of snacks. We were then driven to the caves where we were given a hard hat and taken down into the caves. Be aware that there are many many steps going in and out and some very low ceilings. After the caves we were driven to the cradle of humankind and first had lunch which was included. You could choose anything from the menu. Then we went into the museum which was interesting showing the evolution of modern day man.

The tour operator picked me up early, which I appreciated and I was the only one doing the tour so it was great to talk with the tour operator. When you get to the caves you take the tour with other people and it was very informative. At the Cradle of Humankind museum you walk through at your own pace. Lunch was provided and you ordered whatever you wanted from the menu. Definitely worth taking the tour. I am glad I didn't try to drive myself, which I could have done, but signage isn't great along the highways, so having a driver is very helpful.
