    What to Expect
Pilanesberg game reserve is in the Bojanala Region of the North West Province of South Africa, adjacent to Sun City. Pilanesberg National Park is the home of virtually every mammal of Southern Africa. Also home to the Big Five. Come and enjoy a day of Wildlife game viewing in specially adapted open 4x4 safari vehicles. Your guide will drive you through this nature reserve in search of the Big 5 (lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo and leopard). Not only will you search for these animals but also others that make the Pilanesburg their home, including Giraffe, Zebra, Hippo and various Antelope.

After lunch, you will enjoy a closed vehilce safari drive in search of any animals that have elduded you on your safari thus far. We depart the National park between 15:00 - 15:30, depening on the game veiwing and return to your hotel in Johannesburg before sunset.

Very enjoyable time. Our guide tried to spot all possible animals. We've seen elephants, zebras, chittas, antilopes, impalas, kudu from short distance. We also saw giraffe, hippos and lion trying to prey for pigs. Rhino was little far away but these animals are not clowns

This day-long safari is close enough to Johannesburg for people who only want or have time for a taste of safari. Our guide diligently tried to spot the Big Five, but also showed guests other animals including birds, and explained the role of fire. Our driver was safe, pleasant

I was picked up at the promised time. After a number of other pickups, we drove towards Pilanesburg, stopping on the way for a comfort break and chance to buy drinks, snacks, etc. at a petrol station. On arrival at Pilanesburg at around 9.30 we transferred to 4x4 open vehicles

Dear James, Thank you for taking a moment to share your experience with us at MoAfrika Tours. We are so pleased to hear that you found your Pilanesberg Day Tour to your liking. You are lucky to see so many animals in the first half of the day. The second drive is during the heat of the day where most animals hide in the shade, but it is still a pleasant drive back. We look forward to having you on tour with us again soon! Best Regards, Michelle

What they dont tell you is that the tour after lunch that is described as a "closed vehicle" is actually driving around in the minibus that picked you up in the morning, and that minibus can only stay on the main roads, so you wont see anything. I am on the tour now and just

Dear Nitzan, We are really sorry about the misunderstanding, but we have 2 options and it clearly states that the second drive is in a closed vehicle on your itinerary, and the first drive is in an open vehicle. Our second option is 2 open vehicle drives which is our most popular. This closed vehicle drive is in our minibus, but you can still see the animals while riding in this vehicle. Many people go into the park daily in their personal closed vehicles and have no problems finding game on the main roads. You are just at a disadvantage because the minibus is lower than the open vehicle, which makes it more difficult to spot animals over the grass. As stated, we have another option online where you can book 2 open vehicle drives, but some people would like the closed vehicle option due to them having smaller children under 6 years old. We again apologize for the misunderstanding, however we always encourage our guests to read the itineraries before booking their tour. Best regards, Michelle

Hi there Ely, We have different partners in the Pilanesberg, and with our 2x open vehicle packages which includes lunch, we unfortunately cannot take any kids younger that 6. However, we have another company that does take on kids younger than 6 years, but this is the half day option with the 1x open vehicle drive. Best regards, Michelle
