          Amazing Time
Great adventure! Visited with a couple of friends. Our driver arrived on time and drove us to the park. We had a great time seeing elephants, giraffes, zebras, rhinos, and other wildlife. Well worth it.

A delightful day spent on safari
An excellent day spent on safari. Polite driver and an engaging tour guide. Petros made the safari enjoyable and we were delighted to see a good range of animals close up. He took time to not also speak about the animals, but also about the plants and trees. Information and communication prior to the safari was very good also.

          A great trip to Petoria
I was so happy to be with a female guide. She was superb and took me around places. She was well versed with the History and told me complete details. Highly recommended.

          Tailored experience. Very adaptable guide.
Guide very kindly adapted the tour for me as I had already been to Constitution Hill. We went to Museum Africa instead which was very interesting. The rest of the tour was conducted as advertised and we took in other parts of the city. Very pleased about the guides willingness to tailor the tour to my needs.

          A Diamond of a Tour
We found this through Google and can say it was great. We were collected by Tahbong who was informative throughout the day. We visited the Diamond Mines at Cullinan first which was fascinating. Moving then to The Voortrekker monument which celebrated the trek from Cape Down to Pretoria of the Dutch trying to escape English ruling. The monument was something to behold and Tahbong our guide told us of the blood river war with the native Zulu tribe. We had quick bite to eat at the lovely cafe there before heading into Pretoria. Next stop was Paul Kruger house museum followed by going to the Union Building Gardens where we saw the giant Nelson Mandela statue. Our guide has tended to our needs and wishes all day and been thoroughly knowledgeable. He has pointed buildings and landmarks out and has been a fountain of not just facts but stories. Would highly recommend

          Pilanesberg Safari Game Drive
The trip was nicely arranged and the team has proved to be very professional. The provided the services as committed. However the safari vehicle driver put utmost efforts to make us see all big 5,we couldn't see Lion and Leapords.

          Amazing tour through Soweto
It was a wonderful and insightful experience. Our guide, Byron, did an amazing job to show us his hometown. We had several stops on our tour to get an excellent impression about the culture and history of Soweto.

          Good but could be better
Would’ve liked a deeper tour than just being walked to a shop to buy a beer. We did get to try cow head with the locals though, which was good.

Many animals and a great guide
A Great safari with many sightings, even a snake on the road. Beards of elephants and many other animals, often near the road. We had a knowledgeable and funny guide/driver, always on the lookout for sightings.

          A wholesome experience!
It was a beautiful experience. Everything ran smoothly from the morning pick up to the evening drop off. The drivers were very friendly and accommodating. The landscape is absolutely gorgeous and the rangers are very well informed, we got to see 3 of the big 5 animals up close on the safari and learn more about the animals. It was absolutely lovely! Thank you.

          Amazing wild animals trip
The tour was amazing! We saw a lot of animals, though we missed lions and buffalo, it's still amazing! Seeing aninmals are simply matter of luck so can't complain about it. The guides Sunny and Eddy were very informative and funny! They were familiar with every animal in the park, able to introduce their characters to us in a hilarious way! And of course we took a lot of photos and videos! The ride was totally worth the while! Highly recommend!

The morning session to Soweto extended to nearly 2 pm which left very little time for the museum. Museum needs one day to explore to take in everything. It's better to do Soweto in half a day with the tour company and leave museum for another full day independently.

Hi there Udaya, Thank you for taking a moment to share your experience with us at MoAfrika Tours. The Apartheid Museum is big, and is filled with a lot of information. The Museum enthusiasts should have a full day to experience this, but not everyone finds it amusing, which is why we only allocate a certain time on this. We look forward to having you back on tour with us again soon! Best regards, Michelle

Khutso was a great tour guide and shared lots of knowledge about Soweto and South Africa. Picked us up right on time and ensured we made it back for our evening flight which was a great help.

The tour was an Eye opening experience and I would highly recommend the full day if possible as it was great to make the museum too. We left feeling like we learned so much about real history and it is a place I think everyone should visit if they are in Johannesburg. Would highly recommend Mo Afrika Tours for the experience and hopefully you get to meet Khutso as your guide.

Thabang was our tour guide for the day and along with another 6 people we had Avery productive and educational experience. He made it enjoyable as well. Learning about Soweto, it’s history, development, and challenges through walking the township with a local guide was very good. Learning about the Soweto uprising at the Oscar Pieterson museum was super interesting. Lunch was also enjoyable and we picked up some local crafts (ok to bargain). The Apartheid museum is an important stop to dig deeper into the causes and background of apartheid and the eventual freedom of the people. One of the highlights of our trip.

The tour was good but the time spent could have been better used. As others have said, would have preferred more time at the museum and less time at the pre-arranged shopping spots. It was also fewer hours than advertised.

Hi there, Thank you for posting your review. We try and fit as much into a day as possible, so its not always ideal to spend more than 2 hours at the museum. This tour is designed for people who only have a day to see and experience Soweto. Please take note that we include traveling time in the tours advertised times. Best regards, Michelle

Great tour with on-time pick up and knowledgeable guide looking after our small group of three first visiting the Apartheid museum, with an additional two persons joining us for the afternoon half day tour of Soweto. Khutsu was a great guide and the young local man who showed us through his hometown of Soweto (apologies as we can't remember his name) was well spoken and an inspiration to all. We especially loved the visit to the childcare centre and the opportunity to interact with such beautiful happy children. A great tour giving you an overview of this dynamic city.

The full day trip was very good. Thabang was our guide, who explained so much about Johannesburg to us in detail as he drove us into the city centre etc.

The trip to the Constituional Hill was a guided tour and very informative. The Apartheid museum & Hector Pierson museum were self guided giving us the opportunity to spend time on what we most enjoyed. Swoeto was an eye opener and got to interact with the localas there. All in all, a very well spent and educational day about Joberg. Will definitely recommended Thabang and this trip to others in future.

We liked the Walk around the Community with a local Guide very much as well as the typical lunch. The Whole Tour was a great experience. Very interesting insights into Soweto culture and our guide Thabang was very knowledgable and always Open to answer our many questions.
The Hector Pietersen Museum was absolutely worth seeing, I would have loved to have more time to explore it better , as there is so much to learn about the Soweto uprisings of 1976. I think an hour would be enough, but 30 minutes was a bit too short.

I was rather disappointed by our supposedly private MoAfrika Tour of Soweto and the Apartheid museum. I would expect flexibility from a private tour but all was very orchestrated and inflexible. We were told exactly where we would go and for how long at eah place, where we should take photos (e.g. at the Soweto township sign post), that lunch was barbeque and too bad if you are a vegetarian, that we should spend x mins here and y mins there. The visit to Soweto itself was rushed and thus all very odd.

Having said this, make sure to go to the Aparthied museum and leave lots of time (more than the 2 hr were were offically allotted)., and don't bother with lunch at the Chaf Pozi restaurant by the big towers -the food really wasn't very good.

Our guide/driver picked us up at our hotel at the promised time and began our cultural tour as we drove. He was personable and gave just the right amount of detail so we could understand the situation while keeping us engaged.

The full day tour took us by the FNB Stadium, both Nelson Mandela’s and Desmond Tutu.’s houses, to the Hector Pieterson Memorial and to the Apartheid Museum. It also included lunch.

Unforgettable, emotional, sobering, raw at times.
After the pickup's the tour started at the Mandela Square then proceeded through the old parts of the city, to many sights and smells to mention.
Up to the Constitutional Court and the prison, lunch stop then onto the Apartheid Museum.
Then we moved on to Soweto. Great surprise to get a short walking tour and the chance to go into a persons home.
The entire day was just full on, Unforgettable !
along with a great tour guide, we saw all aspects of Johannesburg the great, the good and the ugly.
Full on day, you really only stop for lunch (if you want to)
Picked up just after 8am and returned to my guest house after 5.30pm as I said a FULL day and worth every rand.
