        Well worth it!
The trip was amazing. They collected me from the Guesthouse where I was booked in. The windows of the vehicle that we drove in could be taken down so that this was a open vehicle. We could then take beautiful pictures. The guide John was well connected with other guests and half an hour after we started the Safari, we saw 3 lions about 2 m next to the road! Jonh was well educated and had a story to tell about every animal we encountered. I would not recommend a self drive into the park. It is so much more fun to do it with a guide and get to know other people. We joked and laughed and bonded nicely. Thank you John for going out of your way to show us all the famous spots!

South African Safari - Choose this one!
What a wonderful way to spend three days in South Africa. The amazing and personable Sidwell was our primary guide for an extended 3-day safari journey that took us from the Addo Elephant Park to the Bellevue Giraffe Walk and finished up at the Zebra National Park. Our guide Sidwell was knowledgable and helped make us all comfortable during our three-day trek. Bradley at Bellevue was equally able to impart his knowledge and understanding to us while walking within yards of giraffes. And Andrew the Cheetah Tracker at the Zebra Park was phenomenal. Accommodations were first-rate, as was the food and narration at each of the venues. Leigh, the tour organizer, was capable, responsive and flexible, as he was able to satisfy our multi-generational group, ranging in age from 8 to 77.

        Best Trip Ever!
Our 4-day South African safari with guide John was an unforgettable experience. Day 1 at Addo Elephant Park showcased diverse wildlife, from lions to zebras. Day 2's Zebra National Park revealed hidden beauty and a thrilling cheetah walk. The valley of desolation on Day 3, followed by a night in Karoo, added a unique touch. Exploring the owl house and fossil tour on Day 4 was a delight. Fantastic views, superb food, and top-notch accommodation enhanced the journey, but John's expertise made it truly exceptional. Highly recommend this adventure and Afro Tours as THE place to book your tour! Best Regards, Clement and Chantal

        Amazing Addo. Five stars.
Addo as an experience exceeded our expectations by far. Congratulations to Sanparks for fronting such a superb place in a reportedly "failing state". Congratulations. Having a Cattle Baron restaurant onsite was the cherry on top. A truly five star experience Addo

Amazing day out. A must do safari. Just remember this isn't a zoo so animals aren't there on demand. It is an amazing park with amazing guide. Thank you Chrisino

        An unforgettable experience
Afroventures transported my Bachelorette party around Gqeberha and Addo. We were able to let our hair down while enjoying all the sites and beauty of our city. Our guide was very knowledgeable and made sure we were safe and sound. Thank you, Afroventures, for an unforgettable experience!

        Go afroventuring!
Kudos to whoever came up with the idea of booking Afroventures to escort us to the most amazing spots around Gqeberha and Addo for our bachelorette party. We literally let our hair down and enjoyed the rides! Our guide was both knowledgeable and entertaining with fascinating stories of the local traditions. I'm thinking up my next 'reason' to go afroventuring again.

Unforgettable experience in Addo Elephant Park
I have only good words for this amazing experience. I did the full-day Safari to Addo E. P. with our tour guide Sidwell and the experience couldn´t have been better. We drove all across the park from south to north and he explained to us every single detail about the animals (and we saw so many) we found along the way. Delicious lunch break. 100% appealing. It is a must for someone staying in Port Elizabeth.

        Best tour for Addo
AMAZING tour! We saw so many elephants and other animals super close. The most special: we were able to see a hyena eating a dead animal. We went with Sidwell, who was an amazing guide and had super good lunch. For our the tour was an absolute highlight of our South Africa trip.

        Amazing Addo Experience
We had an amazing experience with Afroventures. We had 2 1/2 days in Addo and Leigh and his team suggested a plan that really let us get the most out of our days there. The first day we joined a half day Schotia excursion, then we had a full day at Addo Elephant Park and the last day giraffe tracking and a cruise on the Sundays river to the sand dunes. All of our guides and drivers were knowledgeable and kind and we learned so much from them. A big shout-out to John, Wanele and Freddy who made our days unforgettable and to Leigh who was the mastermind behind everyone.

Wow. Just finished our trip and looking back we cannot believe what we saw, experienced and learned with John over the 5 days we spent.
Travelling with John and Afroventures was the best decision we made for our vacation. From the start in Port Elizabeth right through to drop off in Cape Town John made us feel welcome, accommodated all of our wishes and whims, taught us constantly about South Africa, the Cape, and not just about the land and locations, but also about the people. We learned so much and saw more than we dreamed.
Starting in Jeffrey’s Bay, after a long but memorable dinner at the famous Nina’s Restaurant we woke up and experienced the Backpackers and their hospitality through surfing lessons. Auntie C, and Stephano gave our family surfing lessons and memories and laughs that will last a lifetime. No Shaun Tomson or Wendy Botha’s in our family. I am sure Stephano is still laughing at me.
We moved on to visit Tsitsikamma National Park with breathtaking views of the Stormy River mouth and a leisurely hike through and across the suspension bridges then on to Bloukrans. Although we didn’t do the jump, seeing and experiencing Bloukrans left us speechless.
A nice stay in beautiful Knysna, and a tour and hike along the beaches to experience the fossilized dunes at Sedgefield which included breath taking views and more learning as we collected and inspected Shark pods known as Mermaid Purses that washed up on the beach. A little unnerving to see the number of pods which translates to the number of sharks sharing the water we swam in everyday.
We moved on to Oudtshoorn and the amazing Cango Caves. Some of our family braved the extent of this awesome Natural wonder by crawling through the entire cave complex.
While in Oudtshoorn a visit with Ostriches is a must and this did not disappoint.
On to Cape Agulhas. A brief stop in Struisbaai to see the Stingrays (wow!) and off to one of the most visually stunning places we visited. Waking up to the southern most place in Africa was a moment to remember, what a view.
Off to experience the Sharks. We had the opportunity to get in a cage in the ocean near Gansbaai to swim with these wonderful creatures… 7 female Bronze Whalers amazed us for over an hour, with the largest being over 10 feet, we were truly amazed. No Great White sharks but regardless we were amazed.
Despite all that we did over the 5 days, some of the most memorable parts of the trip happened during the many trips and travels to our stops. John’s guiding through the most beautiful roads, passes and places will never be forgotten. Seeing the Hop Gardens in Oudtshoorn, the Mountain Pass outside or George, the Farm Store and lunch spot outside of Port Elizabeth, the best Milkshake and lunch in Barrydale, the drive into Capetown along the Whale Coast Route.
We did and saw things in South Africa that we know many South Africans haven’t experienced.
I cannot commend, applaud and recommend Afroventures and John enough for this experience. We would definitely recommend this to anyone who is not looking for the typical hotel trip to South Africa.

The tour is perfectly planned, the accommodations looked prevalent, the food was healthy and delicious. We had enough time to enjoy the different places and to take pictures of all attractions. John is a very friendly tour guide with good sense of humor. He knows everything about South Africa and did not leave any questions unanswered. With his unique character he made the tour special. With this tour, no wish will remain unfulfilled.
