Alaska Bear Country Day Trip to Katmai or Lake Clark by Airplane
From US$680,00
You can only access Lake Clark National Park and Katmai National Park in Alaska by aircraft, which makes things a little difficult if you don’t own a plane. This Alaskan bear country tour from Homer flies you aboard a 6-seat Cessna 206 aircraft to one of the national parks. Once there, you’ll go on a guided 3-mile (4.8-kilometer) hike through the Alaskan wilderness to see bears in their natural habitat.
What to Expect
Your Lake Clark National Park or Katmai National Park Alaskan bear country tour takes off from Homer. It begins with you boarding a Cessna 206 aircraft for the flight to the national park chosen for your day trip.
After your plane lands, your guide briefs you on how to stay safe out in the Alaskan wilderness. Please also note there are no bathrooms in the parks and bringing any kind of meat or fish products is strongly advised against.
Start a hike with your guide through bear country. Keep your eyes peeled for Alaskan bears as well as other wildlife, such as foxes, wolves, otters, and eagles. Because of the abundance of wildlife, this tour is perfect for photographers of any skill level.
Your Alaskan bear country tour ends with a return flight back to Homer.
