Overview
Hop on a catamaran to Tortuga Island from Jaco on this guided all-day tour. Cross the Gulf of Nicoya, headed towards the Costa Rican island, which is known for its beaches and wildlife refuges. There, snorkel and go on a banana boat ride. The tour includes a hot breakfast, lunch, and round-trip transportation.
What to Expect
After being picked up at your hotel in an air-conditioned bus, head to a private dock where you'll enjoy a traditional Costa Rican breakfast before boarding a catamaran, which will take you across the Gulf of Nicoya towards Tortuga Island.

During your stay on the Costa Rican island, have the chance to snorkel and ride a banana boat. In addition, beach chairs, hammocks, a volleyball court, and more will be set up for use on the island. Plus, lunch will be served with live music and unlimited soft drinks and fruit juice (alcoholic drinks are available for purchase).

Following that, tour of some of the protected islands in the gulf, including Cedros Island, Jesusita Island, Guayabo Island’s bird sanctuary, Sugarloaf Island, Gypsy Island, and San Lucas Island, which had served as a maximum security prison. At tour’s end, get dropped off at your hotel.

We put down a deposit through our concierge at Forest Hills Suites and then final paid once we got to the dock restaurant where the trip originates. As for pick up/drop off, check with your hotel. They can advise you best... More

No, we stayed in another area, at Forest Hills Suites (Herredura) which is not a hotel but more like a private mansion turned bed and breakfast. Quiet and set apart, we enjoyed our stay there. Enjoy your trip!
