Overview

With long gaps between metro stops and Chinese-language public buses, it can take time to travel between Shanghai’s attractions. Take the pain out of transport with a hop-on, hop-off bus ticket that also includes access to selected attractions: choose between five different packages, all perfect for first-time visitors.

What to Expect

Hop on and off the bus on your choice of one of three routes: the Temple Tour, the Pudong Tour, and the Shanghai City Tour. As you travel, enjoy wraparound views from the open top deck, and helpful audio commentary in eight languages

With this package, ticket options include more than just the bus. Combo 1 buys a 24-hour ticket with entrance to the Jin Mao Tower observation deck and the Bund Sightseeing Tunnel. Combo 2 includes a 24-hour ticket and a river cruise.

Combo 3 includes a 48-hour ticket with entry to the Jin Mao Tower observation deck, entry to the Bund Sightseeing Tunnel, and a river cruise. Combo 4 buys a 48-hour ticket with entry to the observation deck at the Shanghai World Financial Center. Combo 5 means a 48-hour ticket with entry to the observation deck at the Shanghai Tower, China’s tallest building.

Nice for a rainy day

We used Hop-on-Hop-off on a rainy day in Shanghai. It was a great way to see the city and learn about the sights while staying dry. Lots of ticket options but we chose the basic one for 40 yuan and it was more than enough.

I was only in Shangai for a limited time. I booked through Viator. My package was for 48 hours with a trip up Jin Mao Tower and a river cruise. It was smoggy but still worth the trip up the tower. I enjoyed the boat...More

Great value for 80RMB

I chose the red route hop-on hop-off tour. They don't really cater for English speakers so make sure you know the tour and ticket type you need prior to getting there. I got the Tour from The Peoples Square. I go the line 2 metro...More

Easiest way to tour Shanghai

We've found the easiest way for us to familiarize ourselves with a new city is a hop on hop off tour. This one works fine. There's 3 separate routes covering most of the city's highlights. The buses are clean and as comfortable as this type...More
