Overview

With long gaps between metro stops and a bus system that can be confusing to non-Chinese speakers, it takes time to travel between Shanghai’s attractions on your own. Take the pain out of transportation with a hop-on hop-off bus tour that also includes access to selected attractions: choose between five different packages, all perfect for first-time visitors. Jump off at the stops that interest you most and explore at your own pace.

What to Expect
Choose one of three routes: the Temple Tour, the Pudong Tour, or the Shanghai City Tour. As you travel, enjoy wraparound views from the open-top deck, and helpful audio commentary available in eight languages.

Hop off to explore at any time, then reboard a new bus when you’re ready to continue. Your itinerary can include highlights like People’s Square, the Bund, and Shanghai museum.

You’ll also need to choose from one of five packages, which offer either a 24- or 48-hour bus ticket, plus special activities like visits to the Bund Sightseeing Tunnel, a cruise on the Red River, or a stop at the observation deck at Shanghai Tower, China’s tallest building.

Effecient Way to Travel and See the City

Kids wanted to go see the fishes at the Aquarium. So, took the train to Liujiazhui station at the Pudong area. And, there was a Hop-On-Hop-Off City Bus service center right next to the Pearl Tower. We decided to have a look and it was...More

Hopping-off hard & not enough audio commentary

I love using Hop-on, Hop-off tours when exploring new cities. This tour was a great value - I even purchased the 48 hour pass with the three attractions even though I was only using it for 1 day. Unfortunately, the stops were infrequent - you...More

Only good thing about this tour was covered transportation around the city during the rain

Key points of this review: 1. Not much history of Shanghai in the commentary, mostly music. 2. Cannot hop off... bus will skip some of the stops, not sure how you trigger the driver to stop. 3. No list of times the buses will hit...More

Poor experience

I saw quite a few more buses from another company called City Bus than I did for this one and sometimes the wait was rather long to either get the bus or to move off. Also one of the stops on the map seemed not...More

If it’s the international cruise terminal the hop on hop off won’t be any good. If it’s the river cruise there are a couple of stops to get off, I can’t remember the numbers but they give you a list of the stops and their... More

With the hop on hop off bus there are 3 routes , I only utilised 2 of them. None of the commentary’s mention the Jewish refugee Museum but I’m sure as they cover a large portion of Shanghai you would be in walking distance... More

yes both upstairs and downstairs seats.. down is better in the very hot or wet weather as the top deck is only partially covered. The steps to the upper deck are fairly steep and narrow - not recommended for anyone with... More
