Had a great time with family, a must do for everyone who visits Kolkata. I would recommend Calcutta Caravan to everyone, they take really good care of their customers. They treat local customers and international customers the same way and provide individual attention. They even created a personalized itinerary for us. The packages they offer is pocket-friendly. Mark help us organize the tour perfectly. Looking forward to other interesting walks they organize.

Walking Down The Memory Lane
We took a Heritage Walking Tour with Calcutta Caravan. This was a fascinating walk taken by a knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide who gave us a lot of interesting information about Calcutta (Kolkata Now). I have been to Calcutta many times earlier too, however never got an opportunity to know the city. Pinning on this walking tour was definitely a wise decision.

It was fascinating to watch the magnificent buildings built during the British era and know the history behind them. We also had lunch in The Lalit Great Eastern Hotel, which is apparently the first 5-star hotel in Asia. The ferry ride across the Ganges was so soothing at the end of the tour. The placid breeze was everything we needed to refresh at the end of a super active day. The entire tour was very well planned and timed.

A fantastic experience Kolkata Walking Tour.
Dec 2017 • Friends
I have lived and traveled in India for over 5 months now and my experience with Calcutta Caravan was definitely one of the most amazing experience I have had. Initially, I was hesitant about the walking tour but I am glad I let my friend talk me into it.
As Mark, our tour guide says "The best way to feel the texture of a city is to walk the streets of that place". I can't agree more with him. We walked through the lanes of residential alleys to experience the lives of the locals and it was so overwhelming to see them up close.

Would definitely recommend Calcutta Caravan Tours to everyone for their excellent service and professionalism.

A happy clients testimonial
Nov 2017 • Family
Hi Deep, my aunt and family have been delighted with the Calcutta Caravan's hospitality during her last month’s trip to Kolkata.
Do send me the pics that you had clicked so that I can share with them.
I thought it is important I share her views for everyone to see.
She said it was a fab little tour. Snaking across the city, highlighting different areas and stopping for well-chosen snacks and drinks, with careful attention to dietary needs and different tastes it was a perfect mix of just everything that was essential. The stops reflected the diversity of the city and Deep is lovely and enthusiastic. He shared beautiful snippets of Kolkata's rich history and information about the goodies which are just right for the event.
My aunt and her family really enjoyed their experience with Calcutta Caravans and they would definitely recommend it. I look forward to connecting with you on my next personal trip to Kolkata as and when it happens

Best way to see and know the history of Calcutta
Jan 2018 • Friends
I took two walks with them, The White Town Walk & The Black Town Walk. What an experience to know the city with it's diversities and confluence of culture. It was a great decision to take walking tours. It's the best way to know the city . There is so much to see and know while you take a walk. Our guide mark was very informative and friendly and he had a great sense of humor which made our walk enjoyable and happening. I would surely recommend Calcutta caravan to everyone.

We did a kolkata City tour with Mark. He is a great guy and an excellent guide. A true ethusiast who loves to show his city. He was very informative, and the best part was the way he gave the information, that made it more interesting. Would definitely recommend calcutta caravan to anyone who wants to see and know Kolkata up-close and if you are lucky, you may get Mark as your guide.

CALCUTTA CARAVAN
Jan 2018 • Couples

An excellent way to discover and learn about Kolkata. We did two walking tours with them - one each day - all with a hugely informative local tour expert. Thoroughly recommended for anyone who wants to explore Kolkata to its roots and for the foodies, do not forget to try the local street food. Cheers.

Mark's an Excellent Guide !!
Jul 2017 • Family
Mark has a very charming personality and has good knowledge of the city. He is very helpful and offers interesting facts about Kolkata. He was able to help us efficiently manage time through the city tour by guiding us through lanes and alleys of Kolkata, which can be tricky. He also gave us good knowledge about each site we visited while he drove us around. All in all it was a very refreshing experience, highly recommended.

Exploring the Unknown Calcutta
Oct 2017 • Friends
Well, writing a review is tough....but I can share the awesome experience I had with Calcutta Caravan; especially with my tour guide Mark. I have been raised in the city of joy, I went out to several places under the guidance of my Dad and I fell in love with the city during my adolescence. I wanted to know more about the metropolis - the places which were not really considered for site-seeing. A friend suggested the name of Calcutta Caravan. I arranged a group of friends and requested Mark to conduct a heritage tour in and around Kolkata. Almost all of us from this generation are more familiar with Salt Lake area as we travel daily to pursue our profession. However, long before this place developed, Dalhousie and BBD Bag area served as the professional hub of the heritage city. So I thought let’s start exploring from there and I was amazed. Did you ever stop to take a look at Writer's Building across Lal Dighi? I was captivated by the view. You can visit the St. Andrews Kirk, the imposing white domed structure – the General Post Office, the Commercial House providing a lease to several organizations. One can also get a glimpse of the Raj Bhavan – Governor’s House and the Reserve Bank of India which was earlier known as the Currency building. Not only this, a walk around the Dalhousie Square will take you back to the old Calcutta despite the hustle and bustle of the modern city. We also took a ferry ride on the holy river Ganges overlooking the Howrah Bridge on one side and the Vidyasagar Setu on the other. Lots of unknown and interesting facts were discussed during the tour. My friends and I never knew so much about our very own hometown! I can't thank Mark enough, for being such a cordial guide. Will look forward to being a part of more of these tours with you. Keep up the great work buddy!
