- N5391CDevaa0 contributionsKyoto must see sitesThe tour was fantastic. Kyoto is a big city and some of the key sites ar far apart from each other. Thanks to the private tour and our guide Kumi, we made the most of our day and were able to visit all ten spots. We also had very interesting conversations about Japanese culture and lifestyle with Kumi, who was profesional and attentive. I highly recommend this tour.Written 9 September 2024
- 215jessz0 contributionsUnforgetable experience with Chihiro! My group and I went on this tour in June; it was by far my favorite day of the trip! We were so lucky to have the amazing tour guide, Chihiro. She was kind, funny, personable, and treated us like family. She told us interesting facts and information about each location, showed us hidden areas, took photos of us, and was so patient while we were at souvenir shops. I also deeply appreciated the opportunity to have long conversations with Chihiro about Japan as I don't speak much Japanese, but she speaks great English! Getting to know her made me feel so much more connected and comfortable with the area and culture. Along with this, the tour itself was amazing! We got to visit sites all across Kyoto and see tons of attractions in just one day. If you are thinking of visiting Kyoto, this tour is perfect. It's incredibly affordable for what you get; you won't regret it! I will never forget my tour with Chihiro, and I can't wait to return to Japan so I can do another tour with her! From Jessica, Jamie, and Amber, we miss you Chihiro!Written 9 September 2024

- Wscherr0 contributionsDefinitely recommend!! Meiko is the best!!This tour was awesome!! Mieko was more than just a tour guide showing the top sights, the tour was like spending the day with a friend showing you around the city. She gave a lot of helpful insight into the city, the culture, and all the best restaurants! Our group loved seeing all of the “Must See” sights and appreciated Mieko customizing the tour based on our needs (we were not ready for the extreme heat). She helped us get from the train station to drop our bags off and even followed up to help give ideas for the rest of our time Kyoto. To say she went above and beyond is an understatement! Definitely recommend!!Written 7 September 2024

- viviena20130 contributionsExcellent tour of KyotoWe had a wonderful tour with Akemi. She made the whole day go smoothly and gave us interesting background information. The temperature went up to 95 degrees, and we appreciated that Akemi modified our tour so we saw the interior of a palace and a market during the hottest part of the day. Would highly recommend as a way of seeing important sights in Kyoto.Written 22 August 2024

Great tour! Our favorite in Japan.
Yoko was our tour guide and she was extremely accommodating and knowledgeable. She was able to tailor the tour a bit around our preferences, what we wanted to see and had time to see and we had a wonderful experience.
It was also helpful to learn about all the history and background of each place we visited to really appreciate what we were experiencing.
I would definitely recommend the tour for anyone visiting Kyoto.

This was an excellent 1 day tour. A client visited from the U.S. and we traveled to Kyoto the night before. Met our tour guide Araki-san at our hotel. Araki-san was perfect. She helped explain, history, sights and points of interest. Client was happy. I was happy. A very good day. Recommended for travelers who don't have time to plan tour and the route. The planning was perfect.

I really appreciated Aki’s guide at TOEI Kyoto Park. How great guide she is!Thanks to her, the simple movie sets changed the real Edo towns where people live. It made me feel like I was traveling into Edo.The Samurai, Edo people, Firefighters’ houses and other buildings became colorful, lively, energetic and talkative.Aki’s informative talk awakened my interest in Japanese culture and Edo culture. We watched a wonderful Ninja show. She told there was a Ninja training hall and you could wear Ninja costume. I’m dreaming of becoming a female Ninja someday.See you soon Aki. Thanks again!

Extremely kind and friendly, interesting and informative. I learned a lot about Japanese culture and history through the entertaining stories and explanations of our guide, Aki-san. I took my 5 year-old daughter who also thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Would highly recommend to anyone interested in Japanese history and culture, including samurai and ninja!
