Hoi An Food Tour by Motorbike with Tastings and Dinner
US$45,00
Overview
Experience Hoi An’s street food scene in a way not possible independently with this motor scooter tour. Ride behind a driver-guide and find food spots and dishes that most tourists miss, as you explore less-visited streets and delve into the countryside. Taste pancakes (banh khot), and pork and noodles (cao lau), brave an unusual egg delicacy, and enjoy dinner and a beer as your guide provides insight into local culinary culture.
What to Expect
Depart your Hoi An hotel and set off into the bustling streets astride a guide-driven motor scooter.

Stop first to enjoy one of Vietnam’s tastiest sandwiches and then savor cao lau, a steaming pork-noodle-and-greens dish unique to Hoi An, on a visit to the Central Market.

Call at a hard-to-find business to try a traditional local cake (banh beo), and after checking out Hoi An’s oldest pagoda, take off into the countryside. See farmers working in the rice paddies, as the sun glints on their hats and then return to town to sample a rice-flour pancake (banh khot) made with coconut milk, quail egg, and vegetables.

Next, perhaps take up the challenge of trying balut, one of the world’s weirdest foods, before settling at a riverside restaurant to enjoy nhau, Vietnam's beer-and-food ritual.

Have dinner alongside a cold beer before choosing to explore independently, or enjoy a hotel drop-off.

Five of us on the back of scooters, who'd have thought? If you have reservations about doing that, don't worry, we felt safe at all times and enjoyed that part of it. Expert guides and drivers! Plenty of food education and discussion. Out to a...More

Fun and educational.

Really fun and educational tour. Also the food is interesting and nice - you should try the balut (duck embryo)! But there are also lots of other less «controversial» dishes, like banh mi, white rose dumplings, pancakes and more. Some of the original places were...More

This was my second time in Hoi An. I did the same tour two years ago with my family, and came back for seconds because of how good the food and the experience was the first time. I cannot recommend this tour enough. The food...More
