    Incredible experience with this company!
    Totally amazing! One of the best experiences I’ve had in my life. Everything was perfect. Communication was great. Pick up was on time and any queries were answered. Our pilots were amazing, very professional, friendly and excellent at manoeuvring up and down and close to the valley as possible! The whole experience was fantastic, I would do it again tomorrow if I could!!

    Worth every penny. Ideal for couples.
    I have been doing numerous activities throughout my life. This is definitely a one in a lifetime experience. We traveled from London and it was totally worth it. Maybe it seemed a bit too pricey, but we found out that it was worth every penny. The staff was really friendly and they made it better by offering us breakfast and champagne at the end.

I can’t say enough good things about Discovery Balloons. They went out of their way to make sure we had the experience of a lifetime! 1000% recommended. I wish I could give more stars!

We are biking around Turkey and weren’t sure when we would get to Cappadocia. They allowed us to make multiple reservations so we could be sure to fly. Our first reservation was cancelled due to weather (they legally can’t fly if the weather is too windy) and they asked if we would like to fly the next day. We chose to go with our next reservation three days later instead, and they happily refunded our money for the first reservation.

The day came, and they picked us up promptly from the hotel. They gave us a bag of snacks for breakfast and a water bottle. A quick bus ride to the take off site, and we were there to watch the balloons fill up.

We got a very good price, so I was worried we would be crammed into the baskets. But the way the baskets are in these balloons there is space to move around and see it from different angles. The basket is divided up into 4 compartments with 5 people in each compartment, so you’re not likely to get stuck in the middle. Unless you want to! We had someone who was afraid of heights and she enjoyed her trip as well from the inside of our basket.

We were up in the air before the sunrise. We flew for a long time, rising and falling to get a closer look at Love Valley and other areas. The pilot, Ali, was so skilled! At one point he took us just feet above a fairy chimney. The flight was smooth and he was able to rotate the balloon around so that everyone got a good view. It was truly amazing. Truly, truly worth it.

Then he landed on the trailer, a feat in itself, and we had a champagne toast and got a cute certificate commemorating the flight.

All in all, I would definitely recommend Discovery Balloons. If I come back, I will fly with them again.

Scenic, Pleasant and Fun

My experience with Discovery Balloons for my Cappadocia hot air balloon flight was simply amazing. The pilot - Basac Kur - really helped created a calm atmosphere, which was perfect for the morning, sunrise flight. There was calm music playing in the background which was really pleasant. The landing was as smooth as it could be with a hot air balloon. The views were spectacular and scenic. It was simply the perfect day to be up in the air with Discovery Balloons exploring the Cappadocia region from above.
I did not have a balloon flight booking prior to arriving to Göreme, so I was lucky enough that Discovery Balloons had q cancellation and they were very accommodating with my last minute booking.
I highly recommend entrusting your ‘once in a lifetime’ Cappadocia hot air balloon flight in the hands of Discovery Balloons!

Discovery balloons making dreams come true
Me and My partner decided to stay in kapadokya during the summer holidays, but didn’t realise the balloon flight would be so busy and sold out by the time we arrived. We anticipated to book it whilst we were in kapadokya but to our disappointment it seemed near impossible with multiple agencies telling us it’s too late everyone is booked.

The day before our last day in kapadokya I decided to just call around different companies to try my luck in a last ditch attempt. Fortunately I found Discovery balloons. Who managed to get me and my partner on a second flight for the next day. For the same price as if we booked it months in advance when we were being told due to late booking it could cost double even triple with some other companies.

Discovery balloons made the whole process smooth and easy. They were extremely professional, courteous and organised from start to finish. And I never felt on edge or lacking confidence in them. They were prompt with pick up, prompt with take off and prompt with landing. They communicated everything the whole way through very well in English and the pilot Basak Kur took us on an amazing flight of gorgeous high altitudes and exciting low glides.

After the flight we celebrated with some lovely non alcoholic beverages and received our certificates to commemorate this once in a lifetime experience.

I want to say a big thank you to everyone at discovery balloons. You literally saved our holiday and made our dream come true.

Experience of a lifetime!

My wife and I did this trip and neither of us have ever been up in a hot air balloon. We were a little apprehensive but decided that we did not want to miss out on this opportunity. We read the Trip Advisor reviews which really helped us to select Discovery. As it turned out we could not have been any happier, Discovery was amazing. They were immediately in contact with me to advise about final pick up time the night before. The driver was right on time to pick us up in addition to several other folks at different stops. Within a short time we were at the office where the decision is made regarding the GO/NO GO based on weather. What we did not know is the flights had been cancelled the previous two days for weather, but our day was perfect and the green light was given. After a nice little goodie bag (croissant, apple, water, fruit drink, pretzels) we were on our way to the launch site. What an amazing experience to see all of these balloons as they start to fill on their sides to becoming upright. It was not long at all before we were in the basket and our Discovery balloon was the first one up on this day - incredible feeling to start rising above all the balloons still preparing below us. It’s so peaceful and serene when you’re up in the air and neither my wife nor I felt anything other than pure elation. The pilot was phenomenal as we descended around the ferry chimneys gliding over the tops and rising back up to take in the surroundings. We went up to 300m and 600m, saw the beautiful sunrise and the control in which the pilot maneuvered our balloon was extraordinary. When we came to our landing area we discovered another fascinating detail. The trucks maneuver to the balloons intended landing spot with the trailer where the basket will land right on top of - another phenomenal skill our pilot executed with precision and ease. This experience is something my wife and I will never forget and we’re so happy we did it. Discovery, their pilot and crew were outstanding and we highly recommend them for your balloon experience. While the basket can hold 28 people (some have smaller baskets) I did not feel crowded at all. I’m 6’3” 215lbs and I was perfectly comfortable and felt very safe at all times. If you’re considering doing this, I highly recommend going for it, you won’t regret it. Truly amazing. Thank you Discovery for a memory of a lifetime!

Honest, quality company.

Our hostel advised us to book with this company, and we are thankful we did. The company was prompt setting everything up, gave us one of the better rates we found in town and the staff worked hard. Our pilot Basak, was great! You can tell she knows what she's doing. The wind drastically changed in the wrong direction as soon as we took off but still enjoyed the flight. They offered us a second flight the next day eith better circumstances for a reduced rate! So we flew with them 2 days in a row, would recommend them to any of my backpacking companions.

Discovery to the rescue! Best value for money and super responsive customer service gets my vote!
Discovery to the rescue! Voyager cancelled our ride literally night before but Mr. Erkin literally responded minutes after I went thru TripAdvisor's chat function and locked us for an early standard flight with no cc hold. Pickup was on time in a comfy luxe van and after paying at their office we were offered a quick choco croissant, apple and apple juice breakfast bag. Team were professionals, no landmark guidance from pilot since 4/5 of the passengers doesn't speak English or Turkish (I counted at least 6 nationalities) but we had a safe colorful and beautiful trip (am glad was not in one balloon that remained mostly up in the clouds ??? or the daredevil one that almost got stuck low between two really sharp rock.formations ??!!!). The champagne + non alcoholic juice landing celebration was thoughtful for the Muslim passengers, and we all cheered when we got our certificates. Drop off was quick and prompt- we got back by 9am and beat the rest of our group who took another balloon company. Responsive, safe, efficient, reliable AND cost effective- what more do you want? Highly recommended.

Wonderful experience. Do not miss it.

It was a unique adventure, something that must be lived at least once in a lifetime. The services offered by Discovery Balloons were the best. They picked us up from the hotel in the morning before sunrise, offered us a package for breakfast and we also saw how the balloon preparations are made for the flight. At the end we were offered drinks and we even received a diploma attesting that we flew the balloon over Cappadocia. In short, we received a complete experience.
The staff was very professional and genuine. We felt welcome at all times. Our pilot was Bashak Kur and she made sure the flight was very, very smooth. She is an amazing pilot.
The feeling of watching sunrise from the balloon above the beautiful rocks of Cappadocia is something exceptional and I warmly recommend it.
I really hope to go back one day.

Best experience! Very communicative from booking and even after the flight. Our pilot was incredible. We had such magical views of the landscape and sunrise, and we landed on the balloon trailer itself! I was really nervous to go up in the balloon and did a lot of research before hand, but honestly, discovery balloons were faultless, a great price (not the cheapest but very experienced if you want to feel safe and know you'll have an amazing flight, and we were one of the first to go up guaranteeing our sunrise view) which all put me so at ease. They even played gentle relaxing music on the flight which added so much to the vibe. Honestly can't compliment them enough. We will be booking again next year with Discover Balloons. We went for the deluxe sunrise option with less people in a basket, which I would definitely recommend so you get a good view, it's comfortable in the basket and you can get a really nice picture. Also, we decided not to buy the companies picture and videos at the time and instantly regret it - it's such a surreal memory which fades fast and you'll definitely want to relive it! It was only 35 euro at the time of our flight but you get everything from the flight including 360 and video, so be prepared and don't miss out like we did

We were so disappointed 🥲 we’d booked our flights and stay (including an extra night’s stay because check-in opened in the afternoon and we landed early in the morning 😐) all so that we could do this hot air balloon tour. Pretty much the morning we got to hotel we received a message saying that the tour was not going to happen! Much to our dismay, we spoke to other travellers about this and what TikTok fails to mention is that you should actually consider yourself LUCKY if you manage to get on to your ballon tour without it getting cancelled. If we’d have known the slim chances of doing the hot air balloon ride, we probably wouldn’t have forked out so much money to come to Cappadoccia in the first place! The company said there were no available slots for the following day but did mention they’d let us know if any slots became available - to which we said yes please book us in as we had 1 more day in Cappadocia. The next day came and we received a message in the afternoon (which we didn’t receive til much later) that a slot opened up but when we replied, there were none left 😐 all in all it was a bit of a joke and I would not recommend coming here or using this operator. You’re best off arriving in Cappadoccia, checking out the weather and gauging if it’s worth booking with someone local. Bear in mind this might cost you €600 through the hotel staff and they don’t accept GBP so you better come with your currency converted to lira already. Someone also mentioned you’re better off going to do a balloon tour in Pamukkale so maybe try that.

Dear Anon, Thank you for your comment to give us the opportunity to explain ourselves again. As we explained to you in our messages, Turkish Civil Aviation canceled all balloon flights because of bad weather conditions on the date of your original reservation date. October is one of the busiest months in Cappadocia, therefore every day has its own reservations. So, we couldn't reschedule your reservation for the next day at first. Then, we sent you a message to ask you if you would like to fly on the morning of 10th October, but couldn't get any reply from you. When you returned us in the late evening we were fully booked. So we didn't have a chance to fly you this time. We know that the balloon flight is the highlight of the Cappadocia Trip, so we're very sad about these kinds of cancellations. But you know, it's about the weather, it’s not our decision. We really would like to fly you on your next trip to Cappadocia. Thank you for your understanding. Best wishes

We had a great time! The shuttle picked us up promptly, and when we arrived at the takeoff, our balloon was already in the process of being blown up so we didn’t have to wait long, but we still got to see how it was done.

We did the 2nd flight which we enjoyed because we got to see lots of balloons take off and we were still up in time to see sunrise. Our pilot, Alper, took us smoothly up high & down in the valley to see some formations up close (I probably could have touched the rock if I stuck my arm out.) The flight is long enough that the other passengers will get tired of taking many photos and you’ll be able to just enjoy the 2nd half of the flight.

We didn’t get to choose our spots in the basket, but at most you’re behind 1 person and can still get great views.
