      - Arriving at Minca we will make the presentation of the guide and a brief introduction of what we will do during the tour since the guide that will accompany us will be a local guide of the community. - We will start with a walk along an ecological trail of approximately 2hrs or 2:30hrs, during which we will be able to visit waterfalls, pools and natural landscapes. - We will arrive at a coffee farm where we will learn about the coffee process and its main aspects. - We will finish our walk when we arrive at a house made 100% in bamboo where we will have a gourmet lunch. - Afterward, the guide will give an explanatory talk about cocoa, its process, and its derivatives. - We finish our tour with a return to the town of Minca where we will board our vehicle to return to the city of Santa Marta where we will arrive between 5:00 pm and 5:30 pm.

      Terrible tour group
Fascinating that the review I tried to post way back in January was blocked in some way as no ability to complete the review was available. I wonder if a company on TripAdvisor can block users or disable reviews? I wrote about my entire experience and even complained to the hotel that recommended this tour group. Essentially I booked this via whatsapps and they made it seem like I had to urgently book. Keep in mind not once during this entire interaction on WhatsApp did I speak in Spanish. I arrive the next morning and they made zero attempts to communicate with us. Not even very important details like where to wait for the bus, nothing. Or other important information like which boat to board. My adult Daughter who does speak Spanish made several attempts to communicate with the tour guides and was completely ignored. We had to constantly hunt them down so they wouldn’t outright leave us. Once we did get on the boat to spend the day on the beach they treated up the same way. Almost like they were purposely trying to get to ditch us? It was scary to have a tour group do this to us. We had no way to get back if they were successfully able to do this. Even a Spanish/english speaking American couple noticed their abhorrent behavior towards and intervened on our behalf. The icing on the cake is when they decided unceremoniously to drop us off many blocks from the hotel they picked us up from despite us knowing and they knowing it was a dangerous neighborhood that even the hotel told us not to go into and this tour made to attempts to even ensure we would be able to find our way back to the hotel.

Worst Tour Experience: Abandoned and Uncompensated in Tayrona Park
I don't usually leave negative comments, but what happened here was unbelievable, so I feel it's important to share my experience. I booked a tour through the hostel I stayed at in Santa Marta (Viajero), along with another girl from the same hostel. We spent the day at Cabo San Juan beach, and after lunch, our tour guide (Eduardo) asked if we wanted to hike back to the entrance or ride horses. We chose for the horses, and Eduardo suggested we head to playa Piscina for the rest of the time, agreeing to meet us there at 2:30 PM to show us where the horses were. Around 2:25 PM, we arrived at the agreed location and waited in the sun until 3:00 PM. At that point, we decided to return to Cabo San Juan to check if everything was okay. When we arrived there, we asked at the restaurant, we were informed that the tour had left "ages ago." Cabo San Juan was the only place with signal, so I texted Eduardo, informing him that we would return with the horses and asking him to wait for us, but they didn't wait. It turns out our tour had passed by our meeting point way earlier before 2:30 PM, but they didn't feel like waiting for us and left without us. When we reached the entrance, I called the tour guide, who casually mentioned that they had left. I was of course irritated and I responded back to him and then he just hung up and never answered the phone again. We had to pay for a bus and a taxi back to Santa Marta, as it was getting late, and we were never compensated for anything. Additionally, the tour guide kept the change from my meal, which he was supposed to give back to me after lunch. We have never lived something like this, so irresponsible to leave two people behind because he decided to form the plan while eating and didn't remember when he suggested to us.

      False representation !
The trip was selling a package it did not provide ! They advertised it has a snorkel tour which it wasn’t ! You had to rent the gear separately at an hourly rate ! I have been on many snorkel tours in Belize , Mexico and Cuba and the gear is not an extra but part of the package !

Amazing experience in the Tayrona Park
It was my parents first time meeting the ocean and they were amazed by everything they saw. My dad was playing like a kid in the ocean and the guides made the experience even better, because they were there for us through the whole trip! I truly recommend this agency!

      Beautiful beach and good snorkeling
Playa Cristal is very beautiful and good for snorkeling. The only issue is that they don’t rent snorkels since the pandemic, you only get a mask so the experience is a bit less enjoyable. The guides were nice and the lunch was great as well.

Thanks to Travesia Pro Agency we had a great time in Santa Marta
We had a great time on both tours we did with Travesia Pro Agency. We booked both tours very last minute but they were able to accommodate us and providing details of the service and what to expect. We did the Minca cocoa and coffee tour, the guide agent was amazing. Everything was very well explained, food was great! I highly recommend this tour. We also did the sailboat tour to Tyrona park, they were great communicating and providing details of the tour. The beach is beautiful, the crew very friendly. They have a very detailed document of what to expect from the tour with meeting point details, phone number for contact. Really good costumer service.

      Uncomfortable
We wanted to visit Taryona and Crystal beach. Tour only took us to Taryona even though we paid for the all included tours. Owner is very nice but…. He blamed us for having chosen wrong tour. The boat is fast but oh so uncomfortable. Packed like sardines and very hard to get on and off. Boat operators are not very useful. Taryona beach is nice .

Not advisable lokking for birds and other animals.
A lot of hussle te get in, difficult for non spanish speaking people to get tickets. People at the counter were very unfriendly. Parc is really beautifull, but very very crowded (we were not there in the weekend nor high season), so no birds or other animals. First beach is much better then the adviced Cabo st Juan. Don't bother to walk another 30/45 minutes to get there. It s extremely crowded there. Conclusion: just a beautiful but expensive hike and swim!

      Nice
The views are absolutely beautiful. The beach itself is limited and not the nicest The guides, Julio and Vello, were lively and very nice as well as informative. The whole tour to us was a bit overwhelming. A lot of time is wasted on getting the entrance bands and foreign tax. The whole trip you are bombarded with costs for this or that additional offers, like snorkeling which has a cost of $45.000 pesos for 30 minutes or $50.000 pesos for a covered area with 4 plasic chairs). Once you get to Playa Crystal you place your food order. If you choose the snorkel option, it's another time consuming event to sign in and get life jacket and face mask. Pictures are an additional cost and so on. We felt there was to much administrative things to do before we could finally rest and enjoy the ocean. Expect tourist prices like $5.000 pesos for a water bottle.

Don’t do it if you don’t speak good Spanish!
I was aware that the tour would be in Spanish which is fine. I speak basic Spanish and was just interested in doing the hike and seeing the beaches, it didn’t bother me that I wouldn’t be able to understand the guide’s background on Tayrona Park. However, because I and others on the tour did not speak Spanish, the instructions about how long we had in each place, where to go, where to meet and when were terrible! Communication was poor and the tour guides did not really care about getting important information across to us and it made the tour stressful. Instead of the guides checking with us after giving instructions in Spanish as to where to meet when, we always had to go up to them and confirm details, which were still unclear. Lunch was also highly disorganised. We felt more like an annoyance as English speaking participants, than paying customers to be looked after.

      Avoid
Terribly filthy and overrated. Even found sanitary pads in the water. Everything on the beach expensive with no reason. Avoid at any cost.

      Big disappointment
They told us to respect the park, to gather our garbage, they told us that music is prohibited in order to protect nature... Words, just words... I never saw so much garbage in the sea, music was everywhere and everything was so dirty. Bathrooms were just a nightmare and food was disgusting. I've been in many other similar places around the world, Costa Rica, Panama, Zanzibar, but nothing was like that. It's a sin because this place will be destroyed in 10 years.

      Fun and relaxing
We booked the sailboat tour to Bahía Concha and everything went according to plan and as advertised. Sellers in the beach might be insistent (they are not associated with Travesia Pro but still worth the warning).

      Fantastic Fun
This was a great day at the beach. Our hotel pickup was timely as were the events of the day & the drop off. The beach was beautiful and the waters perfect. As expected, food & activities were slightly overpriced, but both were delicious! As English speakers with only beginning to mid- level Spanish skills, it was difficult to understand and be certain what was going on. My advice would be to make a friend or two on the ride and when in doubt, ask your friend. Overall, we had a blast!

      Swimming with the fishes
We booked the Bahia Concha and Minca coffee and cacao tours and loved every minute of them! The guides at Bahia Concha were very attentive and checked up on us regularly during the boat ride and gave us lots of time to relax at the beautiful concha beach where we literally swam with fishes. The beach itself was clean, felt remote and isolated so it seemed like we had the beach to ourselves. They served us delicious grilled fish for lunch.

I would recommend this trip the guide was very helpful and was open to question any of us would have as well as the group my family was with was really nice helping each other etc the trip was explained before we set off how much we would be walking ad the guide gave us time to go to the toilet and buy water beforehand. I don't personally think the hike is too bad but when going down to the rivers is when it gets a bit difficult especially if you had many bags with you or some mobility issues but the group was very helpful to those who needed extra help. I would have liked to have visited more rivers or spent more time there but it was a lovely dip after hiking and building up a sweat. Then the cocoa and coffee tasting was amazing, very informative and well presented, getting a chance to get involved and taste these in organic form. overall great trip just remember to bring water sunscreen and bug repellent. The food was delicious as well :)

I had a great time visiting Minca and being led by Tony, a passionate and knowledgeable man who sincerely loves what he does, and the whole team! It's a great day trip and so worth the price. It was great feast for the eyes and the stomach and I highly recommend it!

I had an amazing experience with a cool group of folks coming from various countries and continents. I did this trip solo and it was a great choice to explore the city of Minca and see their coffee and cocoa process. We also was able to get a nice history of the land along with the animals that inhabit the area. A definite must if you are exploring the Santa Marta area.

Enjoyed getting out of Santa Marta to the mountains for a day. Communication was questionable but shared, non air conditioned taxi did ultimately arrive on time to drive us there and driver was pleasant. Guide was nice, enjoyed walk. Information on coffee was limited but saw a small family operation and cooled off at a small waterfall.
Lunch was not as described or at location promised. Think tour operator overbooked with multiple platforms and our group was juggled, left waiting and given lunch last minute in town. Had to wait for our turn at bamboo house for cocoa talk.
All said, a fine day but would not have wanted to pay more for what was offered.

We booked a 5 day trip from Cartagena to Santa Marta and hoped to tour nearby sites. We were excited to see that we could fit in a day trip to Minca as we’d heard so much about it. The driver picked several of us up at our hotels and we drove 45 min to the village of Minca where we were met by tour guides. Sam was ours and was terrific. We hiked up and down dirt/ rocky /leafy trails (take shoes with good traction) as he explained the flora and fauna. We stopped at a small family- run coffee farm and learned about the process with a tasting and opportunity to buy at the end. Then a hike to a waterfall pond for a refreshing dip (water shoes helped) and another hike till a delicious lunch (2pm) at Jungle Joe’s delightful bamboo restaurant/hostel complex in the forest. We had informative lectures about the local animals and the cacao making process including a hot cacao drink and the opportunity to make our own cacao bars!
A truly fun day! Bring water !!

I took the Minca tour del Café y Cacao. Everything was very well organised and I had a really great time. Walk on the mountain, swim in the waterfall, cafe tasting and chocolate production workshop. The restaurant was also excellent and we had a chance to learn many things about the biodiversity of Colombia.

The guide, Roberto was very helpful, available to answer all the questions and shared his love for the place. I’d definitely recommend it.

This day trip was a highlight of our trip to Columbia! The guides had a passion and depth of knowledge which gave us an appreciation for Minca. The lunch in a treetop restaurant and a sampling of the local coffee and chocolate made it extra special.

Such an amazing tour, it's definetly great value for money. We were picked up by a taxi from our hotel and it took about 40 mins to reach minca. We were met by our tour guide who was super knowledgeable and very engaging. We visited the waterfall then proceeded to the coffee plantation where we tasted great coffee and had an apportunity to buy some. Then it took as about 50 mins to wall to Jungle Joe for lunch and i can tell you that place was just something else!!!! Highly recommend to visit!!!!! Overall great experience, Highly recommended!!!!

Started out a bit sketch without any confirmation about getting picked up. Picked up an hour after they told us to be in our hotel lobby by a taxi that drive us to meet the rest of the group all the way in Minca. Not the most comfortable ride for an hour but we made it safely. Minca is beautiful, set up in the mountains and we were thankful for tree cover and slight overcast. We hiked about 45 min with our guide, Ronaldo, to the first stop, a waterfall that was cool and fresh to dip in after being drenched in sweat. It was great but the path to get down can be a bit dangerous, steep slippery rocks. We learned about bamboo and the plants around us. The annoying thing was that we walked on a road shared by cars and motor bikes, so dodging them every few minutes was not fun. We then went in the woods a bit and my kids loved it. It was well marked. We learned about the coffee making process. Saw some parrots and a macaw. We sampled coffee as well, even my kids, and bought a bag. Another long hike back up to the main road and through the town another 45 min or so to see The Valley below and end at a hostel for lunch. Delicious lunch, vegan friendly. Clean bathrooms. We also sat on netted hammocks overlooking The Valley. We listened to a biologist give us a lesson on the animals in the area. And then a chocolate lesson, tasting each part of the process. We made our own chocolate bars and the kids LOVED it. We then hiked back to the city center where our drivers awaited us to take us back to our hotel. Lovely to hear all the facts about minca and the people and the land and nature that they are so proud of.

The tour was great. We got to try coffee and even make chocolate. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because we didn’t spend much time at the coffee farm and that is why I booked the tour. I wish to have gotten to see more of the farm. Also, the taxi driver they had to pick us up and drop us off drove like a maniac. I was terrified for the entire ride. I recommend booking this tour as it is a lot of fun but maybe get your own taxi 😅
