          This tour is world class.
Kalahari Tours provided one of many highlights of a recent round the world cruise, with 29 ports where I and friends (up to 46 of us) did tours with local operators. In each port I read scores of reviews, to find the best tour operator, and Kalahari Tours is the one in Chobe. King George the third of Botswana was our guide, and he was exemplary, in his tenth year. We were five friends, one of whom is in a wheelchair ... that was handled flawlessly and with grace. Both the boat safari and 4x4 safari in the afternoon were no problem at all for the chair. Our wheelchair riding friend sat in the chair on the boat, and in the front seat of the 4x4, with the chair riding along in the back, as she goes nowhere without it. This tour is world class, and tt was a phenomenal day. Chobe National Park, via a boat safari in the morning, and a 4x4 safari after lunch. We saw hundreds of elephants, and a great many other animals, same for a great many birds, and King George knew them all. Special kudos for the fabulous food at the included lunch at their Coffee Buzz restaurant. That is the wonderful HQ of Kalahari Tours, where we also had coffee and a cappuccino muffin breakfast, which was also good. Our transfers from and to Victoria Falls were handled well, and both drivers served as guides for the journey.

          Excellent
We went on a one day trip starting with boatsafari and after lunch on land. It was all excellent. We came so close to all the animals. I've been to many safaris in different places but this is by far the best experience. Even the food was great, as our guide Mr T. I would really recommend this to everyone. It was probably one of the best days in my life.

An amazing Chobe safari which totally exceeded our expectations.
My daughter and I had an amazing day trip to Chobe National Park starting with a water safari and moving on to a jeep safari after a delicious lunch. We saw a lioness with her cubs after their giraffe kill, a separate Lioness hunting and drinking, antelope, buffalo, warthog, giraffe, crocodile, monitor lizard, a whole herd of elephants, hippo’s, monkeys and more. The staff were very knowledgable and gave us time to study the animals and take photos. It was definitely the highlight of our trip. A big thank you to our guides.

          Game drives with Kalahari Tours
Initially we booked a morning 3-hour Game Drive and an afternoon 3-hour sunset river cruise for our first day in Botswana. From the moment we booked everything was handled efficiently and professionally. Ou guide for both trips was OP. His knowledge and expertise were exemplary. We felt totally safe in his hands. Everything went well from start to finish. Kalahari tours arrived about 10 minutes before the scheduled time to collect our group and we never felt rushed. I have taken part in many safaris in both the Kruger and in Pilanesberg close to Sun City in South Africa, but these trips in Chobe National Park were far better. We saw more wildlife and got much closer to all the animals without causing any disturbance. I cannot speak highly enough of Kalahari tours and our guide OP. We enjoyed our first day so much we were delighted to be able to book an extended tours for the next day, which included and excellent locally made lunch, and a repeat of our two tours on our final day. Every trip was different and every trip offered close but safe encounters with the animals. Throughout our guide, OP, showed exceptional knowledge and could not have been more helpful. We will be returning later in the year and I am certain we will be using Kalahari tours.

A safari worth making time for
Augustine our ever efficient Lodge manager suggested a trip into Lake Chobe in Botswana. So early to rise at 05:30, a quick squizz at the sunrise, a breakfast at 06:00 and our trusted chauffeur arrived to transport us across the Botswana border at 06:30am. 3 other tourists from Columbia and the UK joined our group and off we went on our adventure with Kalahari Tours. Firstly, we hopped on a small skiff of a boat and spent 4 hours traversing the expanse of Lake Chobe chasing down elephants, buffalo, hippo’s, impala and all kinds of birds from Egyptian geese to every kind of eagle. What a splendid morning. I must say I did envy the bigger boats every time we rattled in their wake of the waves they generated as they sped past us. Neither the sunscreen, my sunglasses or my hat could minimise the glare reflecting off the water. It was a scorcher of a day in Botswana. Lunch was offered but not embraced. After a cold St Louis beer, the next phase of the adventure began. A 4 hour safari in an open game vehicle. The heat beat down on our heads but my prayers were answered and I saw in excess of 10 giraffe (gilaugh’s are my spirit animal) and as many elephants (heffalumps) as well as 2 lionesses with 3 cubs feeding on a fresh Impala kill. Nature has a way of being a buzz kill but hey that’s what we signed up for. Hot and bothered but completely at peace with our day we meandered over a new bridge opened in 2022 built by the Chinese that links Botswana and Zambia seamlessly after years of ferrying cars and trucks across the border into Zambia on pontoones. On arrival at Chundukwa Lodge, happy but defeated by the heat a nap was taken and then dinner. The pictures don’t do the day justice and after countless times, cursing my Apple iPhone camera, I have committed to getting a proper camera to record my many short lefts across the continents.

          Highlight of Africa visit
This tour was the highlight of our African holiday. Great game viewing both by boat and safari vehicle. Our knowledgeable guide Six, and camp staff Digs and Amos made our tour so enjoyable and comfortable. From following wildlife up close, learning more about the wildlife and environment, to arriving at camp with lanterns and fire lit to welcome us, great meals and friendly staff - could not have asked for anything more. This was a family trip so having the vehicle and one of the boat trips to ourselves (party of 5) made it even better.

          Memorable for sure
Leo did a great job getting us good angles of the animals during our Safari. The whole day was nicely organized and the food was delicious. Easy, chill, and memorable. Especially when we got close to the lion with an elephant foot in its mouth

          Amazing!
Experience of lifetime. The park and wildlife speak for themselves. It is hard to find a person with a healthy mix of professionalism and knowledge while balancing that with a great level of humour. That is until you have met O.P. Thank you for making an amazing experience even more enjoyable for all of us. I have, and will continue to recommend this company and the best guide (OP) to all.

Trip Of A Lifetime. (Kennedy is the man!)
This was a trip of a lifetime experience and it was made even better by our tour guide “Kennedy” who went above and beyond expectations for the 5 of us. “What is said and done in the bush, stays in the bush!” The friendliness and “family” like vibe was amazing as we camped in Chobe and shared some amazing stories and memories. He went out of his way to find a leopard for me, not just one but two (with cubs!) I am forever grateful for these moments that I have captured and don’t know how to repay him… other than saying, give that man a raise! We all had a truly unbelievable time at Chobe National Park with Kalahari Tours and cannot wait until we return. Thank you!

          A memory for life.
A very pleasant experience. From the time they picked me up at the hotel in Zambia to the time they dropped me off at the hotel in Zimbabwe, everything worked perfectly. The food was excellent even during the overnight stay in the bush. The guides were nice and knowledgeable. And best of all: I got to see lots of wildlife, including a whole pack of lions sharing a prey. A memory for life.

Kalahari Tours and Botswana have stolen our hearts
What a phenomenal trip we had! It was a trip for my husband and I :-) Kalahari Tours is AMAZING ! Their staff are welcoming, helpful, friendly and efficient - Thank you Kristin & Rex :-). Everything ran so smoothly, from transfers to the actual game drives, camping etc. We did a night in Vic Falls (incredible site to visit) and a dinner on the Zambezi River. We then transferred to Kasane. We enjoyed a boat trip to start our adventure on the Chobe River - and it didn't disappoint. Then we headed into the bush to camp - 3 nights in Chobe and 3 nights in Savuti! Our Guide Leo was awesome and knowledgeable - we had wonderful sightings and were well looked after! At camp, the Chef (Deeks - sorry spelling???) was incredible - such delicious food - tasty and fresh. Our camps were brilliantly set up, hot showers were provided everyday (thank you Chris :-) ) and nothing was too much trouble! We ended our time at the lodge in Kasane with a final boat trip and last game drive before heading to the airport! This was a truly incredible trip - the game was awesome, the staff where incredible and we have made wonderful memories. Botswana has a very special piece of our hearts and we will definitely be back ! Thank you so much Rex and your brilliant team!!! x Nick and Julie H

          An amazing first time safari!
Chobe National Park is a wonderful place, and Kalahari Tours did everything in their power to ensure we made the most of this experience. They were prompt, professional, and exceptionally friendly and informative. George, our driver and guide, was the most knowledgeable and helpful guide I have ever had anywhere in the world. Everyone was kind and hospitable, the food was well-prepared, the camping supplies were of good quality, and we always felt safe. I highly recommend Kalahari Tours to anyone visiting this part of Africa.

Savuti 5 day 4 night trip 2 nights chobe riverfront 2 nights Savuti
I’ve gone on a five-day, four-night trip to Savuti the guide was very informative and you could tell he knew what he was doing I had a lovely trip. During the daytime, we saw an abundance of different animals, and we were even lucky enough to see an impala killed by a leopard on the Chobe riverfront. During our stay on the riverfront, we saw three brown hyenas, which one doesn’t often see It was amazing. As we moved south to Savuti the drive was long, yes, but that is what is to be expected. T food was wonderful a 10 out of 10 The backup team that came with us was incredible and as a vegetarian, they provided wonderful meals and they did a really good job as some places don’t offer as good of a meal in the bush, especially as a vegetarian. The tents and the campsite, when we arrived at each, were already fully made, and showers were available throughout the day until it got dark, which was very refreshing after a long hot day whilst, in Savuti, we saw a handful of lions, as well as jackals and a male leopard, pushed beautifully on a Raintree this experience was once in a lifetime, and I will never forget it thank you to management and your wonderful team! Would recommend.

          Amazing experience!
Our Chobe visit with Kalahari Tours was absolutely amazing! Very nice, well informed and experienced guides, delicious food and comfortable accommodation. We would highly recommend to do the game drive in the afternoon, as you can see all the animals in the sunset! No words for that!!! Sleeping in the tents is a bit adventurous as there is no fence and the animals are passing close by. But we felt safe anyway! Waking up in the jungle with just the sounds of animals around us was absolutely astonishing! The boat trip is very relaxing and with a little bit of luck you see all the animals swimming in the river. Breathtaking experience!

This was such a wonderful experience. Leo was our guide and driver, he was excellent. Our cooks MP and Moffitt produced plenty of delicious food. We saw so many wonderful animals going about their business, it was a goid time of year to go. Camping in Chobe is the best way to be sure to maximise your game drives and opportunities to see animals. You get a tent and bedding which is quite comfortable, bush toilet, bush shower plus warm water each morning and evening for a freshen up. Take your own soap (and all toiletries) and a small towel. Sunscreen and insect repellant is handy too. You'll receive plenty of water and great food. Consider taking a few USD to tip the team, you'll want to by the end because they deserve it.

We did the 2 night 3 day Chobe camping and it was amazing. Such good value for money and would recommend multiple day tour to maximise your chances of seeing everything. Our guide OP was great, very knowledgeable and personable. He made us feel totally safe in all situations. We saw so many animals including lions hunting and eating a kill, 2 leopards, elephants, giraffe, Zebra, buffalo and loads more! The camping was great too, really good food, a shower (a bag with water overhead behind a privacy screen), a toilet (a hole with a raised loo seat), the beds were a mat on the floor and were comfy. Camping really felt like an immersive experience so I would totally recommend, we even had elephants visit next to the camp at night! Such an epic time, and would definitely recommend OP as a guide.

We spent 3 days in the beautiful Chobe National Park with Kalahari Tours and couldn’t have been happier with the experience. Starting from the seamless logistics (airport pick up and transfer) to our wonderful guide OP, who made the Safari fun, helped us to spot and observe animals; to the camp team MP and Jacob, who set up a comfortable camp in the middle of the park and prepared very tasty food for us every day (good veggie options, too) - everything was really great. Would highly recommend this tour, OP as a guide and the camping in the park!

We have just returned from a wonderful holiday in Livingstone which was made exceptional by having the 3day/2night trip to Chobe, provided by Kalahari Tours. Our guide, Six, was clearly experienced and knowledgeable, as well as being interesting and fun, and made sure that we got to see so many animals during our trip, the highlight being able to see families of lions at close quarters each day of our trip. I was nervous of the idea of camping prior to going however it truly enhanced the whole experience. The staff supporting Six - Bennett and Amos looked after us really well and provided great food. I would highly recommend Kalahari Tours

It was a great experience and highly recommendable.
The guide, Mr T went out of his way to make the trip a memorable one.
The travel companions were also very nice.
While one cannot control or guarantee the wildlife sightings, all else, that the agency can control was perfectly executed: reception at border crossing, breakfast, cruise, quality of vehicle and tents as well as other equipment… quality and variety of food, The experience and attitude od staff made the trip a pleasure. Thank you.
And - the wildlife sightings were extraordinary: over 400 elephants, 1000 buffalo, pride of 16 lions, impalas, baboons. A close encounter with a leopard!! etc etc
        THANK YOU!

My husband and I have done 2N3D tour with Kalahari Tours in March 2024 and I would highly recommend the experience and the agency! They picked us from Victoria falls, helped to cross the boarder (we had a return journey) and it all went very smoothly both time (no queues, no delays)! The experience in the camp was magical: we had Sam as a guide and he was amazing! He is able to track animals and helped us to see almost all the animals that you can find in Chobe park, incl. buffalos, hippos, giraffes, elephants, lions (we've seen 12+ lions, we were able to see them every day 3 days in a row, we've seen how lions hunt), warthogs, mongooses, impalas etc. and countless birds! We were very impressed by the number of animals and frequency of meeting those in Chobe park! We would highly recommend this camp and say thank you to Sam one more time, he was an amazing guide!!! Everything about our experience was professionally managed from start to finish, including collection to/from Zambian border and return to Livingstone. Our guide Opi deserves a special mention: highly knowledgeable and used his network of friends in the park to always locate the best game to be seen. The camp site and team were excellent and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and memorable. We also saw huge amount of game - more than in 2 other parks we visited in Zambia. If you camp, you get more time looking at animals when they are most active. There is no plumbing or electricity-but they had great gear, so we slept soundly. The cooks provided 3 delicious meals/ day. We did 1 and 1/2 day game drives and 1 morning and afternoon river safari. Our pickup in Livingstone and drop-off in Victoria Falls went smoothly. Best camping trip ever.

What a wonderful experience we had with Kalahari tours. Kristen and Lunza were very good communicating with us from beginning to end. Our guide OP was outstanding. We so 25+ lions and had a great experience sleeping in the bush while hearing lions and elephants. We would highly recommend this tour.

This is an experience you will never forget.
We experienced lions, lion cubs, lots of elephants, giraffes, hippos, zebras, hyena, antílopes, buffalo’s, colourful birds and many many more animals. The landscape is beautiful. Our guide Leo is very knowledgable and made us feel safe. He made the extra effort to make sure we had an experience of a lifetime.
Don’t do only a day trip, stay overnight - the tents are simple but comfortable and the food is good. It is very special sitting with the group around the campfire sharing memories and reflecting about what you have experienced during the day.
        Highly recommended.
