Overview
This is a great way to enjoy an afternoon: cycling through the quiet countryside and the ruins of the Court of Ava before seeing the sun set on an intriguing piece of history: U-Bein bridge.
Highlights
  • U Bein Bridge sunset cycling tour explores farms, fields, and villages
  • Watch the sun set over U Bein Bridge
  • Includes bike, helmet, water, and snacks for a safe, comfortable day
  • Convenient pickup and drop-off at Mandalay hotels
What to Expect
Meet a driver at your hotel in Mandalay; the departure time varies according to the time of sunset. You’ll be transported to quiet farmland on the outskirts of Mandalay, to begin the bike ride far from city traffic.
Your cycling route winds through a series of villages, and you’ll get a glimpse of daily life in the countryside as you greet the locals. One stop is the hometown of Mayor U Bein, for whom the famous teak bridge is named.
You’ll travel through the ancient Burmese capital of Ava, which offers shady paths that are ideal for cycling. Your ride concludes at U Bein Bridge, an elegant span fashioned from salvaged teak wood. Enjoy the last light of the day there, and then finish the tour with drop-off at your hotel.
