          Great Tour
The whole trip was amazing. I’m a Salvadorian descendant and it was a thrill to explore my roots and learn a lot about my culture. The guide was very positive and informative throughout the entire activity. I’ve actually been recommending friends and family to do this in the future because it was such a great experience. Thanks Osmaro for everything.

          Worth the hike
Definitely worth the experience! The views are breathtaking! Our tour guide Osmaro was amazing. He was kind friendly and very patient with us, especially me I was struggling on the hike. He was full of knowledge definitely learned a few things about El Salvador. The visit to the lake was very peaceful and relaxing, especially after the hike. Drop off and pick up were very smooth. Definitely a must do on your list of things to do in El Salvador!

          Thanks Osmaro!
So amazing! I’m not much of a hiker so was a bit nervous at first, but Osmaro was such a great guide! He was gracious about stopping when we needed it, and offered to take lots of photos for us! He even stopped at a coffee shop with an overlook and then had lots of recommendations for our lunch (and stopped so we could eat post-hike)! I learned so much on this tour. Would definitely use their group again!!

Our experience with Mr. Rafael and Osmar from Eco Tours Petate was exceptional. They were incredibly informative, providing valuable insights throughout the trip. Their driver, Hector, was excellent. They were flexible and accommodating to our group of 21 people and consistently punctual.; they were gracious and respectful to the group. THE BEST INCLUSIVE COMPANY WITHOUT TIME RESTRICTION.
Petate is a family own company, I would not have enough space to say how well they treated my husband and me, passionate about their work, with a wide knowledge of their culture, very polite, respectful and very inclusive, they taught us the whole country without time restriction, their vehicles are very clean and new. We took almost all the tours and they always arrived on time and they made suggestions to us, Mr. Rafael and his son Osmaro are very nice and very well educated people, they are always willing to listen to us and make us have a very nice vacation, we had one of the most beautiful vacations thanks to this company, I highly recommend them to all those people who come to El Salvador for the first time, they will not regret it. Atte. Hugo & Samuel.

          Positive experiences every time!
This is our second visit to El Salvador and both times have used this service. Our tour guide Osmaro is extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and accommodating. This trip, he took us around for three separate days and we were able to experience something different that El Salvador has to offer, so each day was a new excursion. He is fluent is both Spanish and English and goes very much into depth when providing you with information and history of the sites you are visiting, also a great cameraman to help capture all the amazing sites.

Long airport layover with family of 6
We went with our family of 6 for a tour at Tunco beach while we had an 8 hour layover here. Our teens especially loved this area! Our guide was so patient with us. Our flight was late arriving and it took some time getting through customs(we had to pay airline taxes $17 pp plus our $12 visa for the adults) and we ended up starting our tour an hour later due to this but our guide was great. He had a sign with our name as soon as we left the airport so easy to find. The beach here isn't really for swimming but you can rent a board and surf. We just spent our time walking around and having drinks and eating ice cream. The vibe of the area reminds me of something like Myrtle Beach. We were there in early evening which was super fun but for families with younger kids I wouldn't think the nightlife later in the night would be your scene. Without kids it looked like the night life was awesome! Super relaxed and everyone is extremely friendly and proud of the country. We felt totally safe the whole time and look forward to visiting again. El Salvador is a hidden gem! SO glad we didn't stay in the airport!

This tour and this company was amazing. My tour guide was Osmaro. He was very knowledgeable about El Salvador and all the towns we went to visit. His English was great and he quickly picked up on my interests and took me to specific places I was more interested in. He made sure I got to see everything and more. It was a great day. I was tracking alone for this trip and I felt very safe with this company. I would definitely recommend this for solo travelers and also for families!

On the long and thorough excursion through El Salvador’s gems, you really get value for both your time and dollar. Seeing several of the small towns in the Ruta de Las Flores provides insight into the way of life in small town/rural El Salvador.

My favorite experience may have been the stop at the coffee plantation, as the tour guide illustrates the process of coffee production from bean to bag to your morning cup.

While the hot springs portion is a pleasant end to the day, I felt like I obtained more of a Salvadorian feel from the earlier parts.

We managed to visit a lot in one day without feeling rushed. The guide had a lot of knowledge and made an effort to show us a local perspective.
It was a small group which was nice and felt private

Herbert was the best tour guide we’ve had all trip and the tour itself was great. We saw all the highlights of the Ruta de las Flores and the coffee tour and hot springs were great. The van was comfortable and new with AC. Herbert took the time and effort to talk about the Nahuatl language and it was clear how much he loved giving the tour. We would recommend this 100%.

I wasn’t sure what to expect as I hadn’t researched the Rita de Las Flores, but this tour surpassed my expectations. The guide was upbeat, informative, stopped allow me to take photos. The towns visited were interesting, everyone was slightly different. Stopped in one for lunch, which was a bargain at 5 dollars. Really enjoyed it so would recommend.

This tour was amazing! We had many fun activities to do and see. There were many photo opportunities and amazing views of the volcanoes. The bike zip line, rainbow slide, thermal waters, and coffee tour were all great experiences. The ride there we were told all about El Salvador and fun facts for each town or places we passed. Our guide was a very informative and fun man. He answered all of our questions and was very accommodating.

Outstanding! I was able to cater my trip to fit my shopping and photo needs and interest. As a new resident of El Salvador I wanted to have an introduction to the country. I can honestly say this was, not only an excellent day trip, but my favorite day in the country since my arrival! Thank you.

Great experience. This is my first time in El Salvador after 40 years. Our guide, Herbert was wonderful. He was very knowledgeable in El Salvador history and I learned so much about my Salvadoran roots. Each town we visited had it’s own charm and Herbert was so patient and accommodating as we explored and shopped. This is a great tour if you wan to learn more about El Salvador.
