- edwardvos0 contributionsA beautiful and small city to visit with a high potentialAs soon as I arrived I was welcomed in the new airport, large, clean and big. The driver picked me up in the designated area and took me to the city. Here I spent a few days and I was able to visit the city and its interesting parts. Here we are in the political, economic and cultural capital of Croatia since 1991. It is a fascinating mix of the best of Western Europe and Eastern Europe. We find museums, theaters, galleries, buildings with Austro-Hungarian architecture, Art Nouveau, Baroque... There are several very suggestive places... boutiques, shopping centers, bars, restaurants, pubs and trendy cafes. I started with the upper town (Gornji grad). This is where the Dolac, the agricultural market, takes place, as well as offering the oldest parts of Zagreb: Kaptol and Gradec. From here I can observe the lower town (Donji grad), where I was able to admire public buildings and nineteenth-century palaces and churches. Unfortunately, since it is in the same square as the Croatian Parliament (security reasons), I could not admire, except from the outside, the Church of St. Mark, which has a particular roof with tiles reproducing the ancient coats of arms of Croatia, Slavonia and Dalmatia, and of course, the emblem of Zagreb. Walking through the characteristic streets and squares of the old city, such as the beautiful Ban Jelacic square, I could see the statues of the Croatian artist Mestrovic. There are souvenir shops everywhere and if we take a more sporty walk we can see the beautiful botanical garden and the parks ... the most visited is Park Zrinjevac. Zagreb has a lot to offer: the Cathedral (Zagrebačka katedrala), the fortress (Kaptol Fortress), the stopped clock of the Cathedral that stopped after the earthquake at 07:03 and 3 seconds on November 9, 1980. Another point to see is this square (Trg bana Josipa Jelačića) where we find the equestrian statue of Ban Josip Jelačić, a square where the tram passes, with many shops and clubs. Let's not forget the Tunel Grič, a tunnel that retraces the fall of communist Yugoslavia and the Croatian fight for independence, used as a refuge in the 90s. Ok, but... the fun? And the nightlife? Well yes, we find it here: Ul. Ivana Tkalčića, a long street full of clubs, bars, restaurants... and tourists! I was there for a few days and I immediately liked it! Very clean, but I still have so much to discover! Will I go back, maybe in winter to see how it is with snow? Yes!Written 1 September 2024

- LoveTwoTravel180 contributionsThe Perfect Transfer with the Perfect TourAbsolutely perfect!! Marco, our driver was amazing, we could not have been happier with this experience. It was simply the best!. We had a relaxed private comfortable drive to Plitvice Lakes where Marco took us on a tour that was informative, fun and seriously breathtaking. So many waterfalls! We never felt rushed and we were really able to enjoy every moment. It was the perfect way to leave Zagreb (luggage with us), enjoy the tour for the day, and then be taken to our next location of Zadar. We highly recommend doing this!! Request Marco too, he’s the best!!!. Marco, if you’re reading this, we thank you again for a fantastic experience!Written 15 September 2023

- Navigator7280710 contributionsTransfer from Zagreb airport to City by Welcome PickupsIn my recent trip to Zagreb I engaged Welcome Pickups to transfer me to from the airport to the Hotel in the city. The instructions that I received for the meeting point were quite clear and I had no difficulties in meeting our Driver Mr Luka Capar. Our trip to the Hotel was quite pleasant and Mr Capar gave us plenty of information to start our tour around the city. If I travel again to Zagreb I would not hesitate to engage his services again.Written 5 June 2023

- boloca0 contributionsMarco was one of the best guides we've experienced!.Our wonderful guide Marco drove us from our hotel in Zagreb north to Trakoscan Castle. He was so personable, knowledgeable, and fun! His knowledge and insights were so helpful and increased our enjoyment. After the tour of the castle, he took us for a fabulous lunch and winery tour at Vina Vuglec and then returned with a pleasant and picturesque drive back to our hotel Esplanade. He was timely, easy to be with and most of all a great addition to our vacation!Written 23 May 2023

Professional, friendly, customer oriented agency that organized every single detail of rather complicated request which included transfer of group of 12 from the tall ship anchored at Mali Losinj to Zadar, guided tour to National Park Plitvice, transfer to Zagreb and to the airport.
Quality of the vehicles and service was superb; small beautiful yacht transferred us quickly from the island to the coast and 2 new vans were comfortable and clean. Our drivers were tour guides fluent in English and passionate and knowledgeable about Croatian history and picturesque landscapes we drove through. Plitvice lake guide Mario was excellent as well, made sure that all of us can see all lakes at individual, safe pace.
We had person waiting in Zadar where we docked who helped us transfer to hotel, they are punctual and flexible to accommodate requests of many people in the group.
I am highly recommending this agency.

This is first trip to Croatia and we are very happy to have chosen this company for private transfer. Frane is very responsive to enquiries and Marko , the driver and professional guide is very knowledgeable and lead us to this magnificent park to see nature at its best. As expected , there are many tourists from big tour buses .. Start very early and you will be rewarded. A guide like Marko makes the difference!.
