Great hike and views. A must do!
Great hike. Rory the guide and company owner is very knowledgeable and nice. Highly recommend this hike. It does involve up and down steps but worth it. Rory went the pace as needed for the group. He is a great guy who has a history with this area.

      Great adventure in Hong Kong
My husband and I love exploring an area on the back of a bicycle but weren’t sure of how to do it in Hong Kong. Enter Wild Hong where we embarked on the Tolo Harbour cycle tour with the help of our impeccable guide Rory. Having never been to the New Territories part of Hong Kong before it was such a great way to experience it. The ride is very flat and almost entirely along a bike path making it suitable for families and relatively cautious bikers. I just thought it was lovely and fun to experience the beautiful day. Keep in mind we did it in January as I think July/August might be very hot. Our bikes were new hybrids and great for the conditions. We’d love to come back and try out the other bike and hike tours as there is so much to explore. We’ve also decided Rory is our “most interesting man alive “ as he not only was great about explaining the area / culture / history but he’s traveled EVERYWHERE. If you’re looking for an active way to experience this amazing city we highly suggest Wild Hong Kong.

      Dragon Tamer
I recently completed the Dragon's Back hike with Sean and had a really fun day out. Sean was an extremely knowledgeable guide who told us about the local history of the area while guiding us. I appreciated that he was very flexible and asked our group what pace we wanted and we would just tell him when we wanted to stop for photos, rather than the guide mandating stops. Our group was two experienced hikers in good shape, so we completed this fairly quickly. This hike is an easy one, so a great introduction to hiking Hong Kong. It's incredibly scenic, with impressive views for days and I can see why it's the islands most popular hike, we were there on a Tuesday morning and there were multiple groups also on the trail. By keeping a good pace at Sean's guidance though, we were able to stay ahead of the 'older' groups and had the trail mostly to ourselves and it was quiet and peaceful. Highly recommend this hike and I'm keen to try one of the more challenging ones next time I'm in Hong Kong.

      Lantau Peaked
I recently completed the Lantau Peak Sunrise Climb with Rory and it was excellent. Prior to the hike communication regarding meeting points and other details via WhatsApp was crystal clear. Rory was a very friendly, easy going bloke with a great sense of humour which made the hike enjoyable. As someone who is reasonably fit and experienced, I'd rate this hike low to medium difficulty, there are no challenging scramble parts but the many steps make the legs heavy after a while. Great view of the surrounding area even though we didn't get perfect weather. Finished at the base of the Tian Tan Buddha and was able to see it without any crowds, as we finished our hike before it officially opens. Highly recommend this hike and next time I'm in Hong Kong I will happily engage Wild Hong Kong again for another adventure.

Tip-Top Bikes for rent, Great tour!
Awesome tour. It was hot and muggy, but still what a treat! Who knew that Hong Kong could have such beautiful trails? Anyway, our guide was super informed and was able to discuss a bit of the history and the fun things about the area. Thank you!

      Saw HK nature
We had a great time with Rory! The hike was moderately difficult but not too strenuous. We saw beautiful views of the beach, snails, and boars. We ended the hike on the big wave beach which was a nice quiet beach with stunning views. We loved seeing another side of Hong Kong and hearing from Rory about the local nature and wildlife. This is a good way to get out to the city and experience some of HK’s nature.

      Best Views In Hong Kong
Great hike!! The first mile or so is a killer up hill and crazy humidity. Once you are at the top the views are incredible and it becomes alot easier. Tristan was a great guide. I would definitely recommend this when you want something different from the city tours.

      Nature and the Dragon
Our hike of dragons back was so good in many ways. First our guide Sean was very informative and in touch with the local HK culture. Every step of the way he was giving us bits of knowledge and fun facts. He was also aware of our well being when it came to slippery locations, steep ness, and even my shortness of breath while being out of shape, lol. It was me, my wife, and another couple from Australia who hiked together and I couldn't ask for better partners for the day! The views were stunning, the weather was overcast and really gave a tropical vibe. So much natural beauty we received in a short time frame I would highly recommend Sean and his company for your tour of Hong Kong!!! 10/10 !!!

A great hike with beautiful views!
A great hike, with beautiful views! The tour guide Ran, was personable and provided excellent information about the area and Hong Kong. We saw some wildlife, and Ran explained them in detail. The weather was hot, but the hike was lots of fun. We ended at Big Wave Beach and took a swim in the ocean to cool off. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to get a little exercise and see the beautiful countryside outside of the city!

An Experience Not To Be Missed
I went on the Ma On Shan Climbing adventure. Even though I've travelled quite a bit, this experience was totally new for me. For one thing, it provided me with a totally different perspective of Hong Kong, as we often think of the country only as a bustling city. I was the only person who signed up for this package on that day, but Rory still paired me up with a very experienced and patient guide Tristan - which indicates the reliability of Wild Hong Kong. The entire experience requires a reasonable level of stamina and fitness, as described in the Wild Hong Kong website. The experience climbing up to the top included different types of terrain, such as steep (almost) vertical climbs and narrow trails through dense bushes. However, the reward of getting to the top makes it all worthwhile. I was fortunate to be there on a day when the overcast was low, so we were engulfed in cloud for most of the time and what an experience it was walking on Cloud Nine, literally! On clearer days, aviation lovers would be thrilled to see planes not too far above them making their approach to the airport. The walk down also provided beautiful scenic views of some country parks. Overall, this is an experience one wouldn't want to miss, especially those who love hiking and the outdoors. Just be sure to bring lots of water and snacks for the hike, and I cannot stress the importance of having a good rest the night before and good shoes.

      Amazing hike and experience!
Had a great time on this hike, led by Tristan, who is very experienced, friendly, and an excellent hiking guide! Rory was so helpful in organizing the whole thing, very responsive over email and went out of their way to make this happen for me. I would highly recommend Wild HK and will definitely hike with them again next time I'm in HK! Thank you Rory and Tristan!

      Dragons back hike
Both my wife & I really enjoyed the dragons back hike, Sean was a great guide and interesting guy to talk with on all subjects, especially watches, dogs & sport. Got a little wet towards the end from a downpour/ thunderstorm but that added to the adventure !

Rory is an experienced local guide who has a good sense of humour and a lot of different skills that one needs to excel in outdoor activities. We joined a one-day kayaking tour from Pak Lap Wan in Sai Kung Country Park. It was a rather rainy day and perhaps it helped us. We didn’t let it bother us and even had a few glasses of champagne on a solitary beach during our lunch. The rocks, the caves, and the whole scene of nature really made us realize the true diversity of our city, Hong Kong!

This was the highlight of our summer stuck in HK due to covid travel restrictions. It was awesome! Rory our guide was super helpful, and suggested changes to our times etc to pick the best tides and weather so we could paddle through the caves. The paddling was awesome, and tailored to our needs with detours as required. Great sights and great trip!

It was a really fun adventure. Our team was of 6 members including guide Sean. It took around 3 - 4 hours to return back to where we actually started. Sean gave us all instructions for our own safety.

The pickup happened on time at the metro station. Then we took a bust to the desired location which is quite far from the busy world.

We were able to see a cave on an island and rested for some time in some remote place. It's mandatory to bring some additional clothes, else you have to go wet. Also keep a hat because the heat will be tremendous while on water. But the water will be very chilly.

I really recommend it as I enjoyed it a lot.

Thanks very much for joining us Rahul and so glad you had an enjoyable trip! Was a pleasure to take you out kayaking for your first time :) For any readers, it’s good to note that the sea water during winter in Hong Kong is slightly cooler from December to March, so when kayaking during these months - if you’re from a tropical country it won’t feel hot. However, for the other 9 months of the year it will be very warm in the sea.

Actually it is our first time to kayak, and at first, we were a little afraid, but it turned out quite good! And our leader Keyne is really nice, he takes almost everything into consideration for us, and he totally allows us to fully enjoy ourselves as long as it’s safe.
And we knew about the Wild Hong Kong from Keyne, it’s a great team, and the guides are all very nice and friendly. So if you go to Hong Kong and want to do some hiking or anything close to nature, Wild Hong Kong must be a good choice for you!

I have arranged a trip with Rory for 2 times already this summer. Although I am a local in HK, it is always great to find someone who can organize everything for you and also give you peace of mind.

Rory is also a local in HK. He is very friendly and knowledgable from HK history to the names of each beach and hills of HK.

You won't regret to plan a day with him.
    Highly recommended

Given Covid--19 concerns, social distancing norms and travel limitations, my friends and I were looking for an activity that was doable, safe and fun. The whole day kayaking adventure in the UNESCO Geopark area in Hong Kong came to the rescue.

Wild HK also was flexible in customising the tour for us based on interests, kayaking expertise and swimming skills.

Rory, Lyric and Kayne were fantastic guides and chaperones. They were informed about the area and marine life, took safety seriously and were fun to hang out with.

My friends and I were in single or double kayaks and in open waters for the most part. Strongly recommend an activity with them to beat the isolation blues safely.

We have done two kayaking days with Wild Hong Kong and both have been great. In March Alec led our tour around the Geopark and then yesterday Tristan took us to Hoi Ha Wan Marine Park. Two quite different tours but both were brilliant. Hoi Ha Wan is quieter and a more relaxing paddle with a beautiful beach for lunch and a swim.

Totally recommend Wild Hong Kong for a day out.
