- boschertl0 contributions2 Days with Egypt Lovely HolidaysMy trip to Cairo was a last-minute decision, and it was the best I've made in a long time. I'm super thankful for my guide, Zenab, who gave me an incredible experience. Despite being jet-lagged, I had a fantastic time. Zenab took her time teaching me the history of every site we visited and became a great friend. I’d recommend Zenab to anyone touring Cairo—she's incredibly knowledgeable about Egypt. We covered in 2 days what most people do in a week. Nothing felt rushed, I always felt safe, and the itinerary was flexible. Plus, Zenab took some incredible photos of me. My travels with Zenab inspired me, and I can't wait to return.Written 26 June 2024
- tyronh4120 contributionsThank you Egypt Lovely HolidaysMy tour in Cairo was a captivating journey into the heart of Egypt's ancient wonders and vibrant culture. With only two days at hand, the itinerary crafted by my exceptional guide, Ashraf, was a marvel. Each day is unfurled with iconic sites like the majestic Pyramids of Giza, standing as eternal testaments to human ingenuity. The Sphinx, a symbol of wisdom, gazed upon us as we were spellbound by the timeless beauty etched in stone. I was transported back to the Egyptian Antiquities Museum, surrounded by artifacts that told the stories of dynasties in the long past. The felucca ride on the Nile was a soothing interlude, providing a serene moment on the life-giving waters that have nurtured civilizations. Memphis and Saqqara, too, revealed layers of history that are the very fabric of this glorious nation. Ashraf's passion and deep knowledge of his homeland's treasures made this tour a deeply personal and unforgettable experience. To walk through history and experience these wonders firsthand is an unrivaled opportunity I recommend with fervor to any traveler. The plethora of emotions that washed over me—awe, reverence, inspiration—were as enduring as the monuments themselves, leaving an indelible mark on my heart for Cairo. Each discovery on my tour only added to the rich tapestry of Cairo's allure. The bustling markets filled with vibrant colors and enticing scents, the delicious cuisine that tantalized my taste buds, and the warm hospitality of the locals all contributed to an unforgettable experience. Beyond the famous landmarks and ancient ruins, Cairo also revealed a modern side that was equally captivating. The cosmopolitan city was a vibrant hub of energy. I found myself immersed in the lively street art scene, savoring coffee at quaint cafes, and dancing to traditional music under the starlit sky, all of which added to the rich tapestry of Cairo's allure. In just two days, Cairo had captured my heart and opened my eyes to a world of beauty and wonder. The journey left me humbled and grateful for the opportunity to explore this incredible city. I went with a newfound appreciation for Egypt's past, present, and future and the realization that Cairo truly is a timeless gem everyone should cherish. So, if you ever find yourself in this enchanting city, take it all in, savor every moment, and let Cairo weave its magic on you, too.Written 25 June 2024

- 738kendelh0 contributionsEgypt Lovely HolidaysWhat an amazing trip we've had! Climbing the Cairo Tower to catch those panoramic views was an absolutely fantastic experience. There’s something truly special about seeing a city from above, isn’t there? It gives you a whole new perspective on its layout, the hustle and bustle, and the blend of modernity with ancient history that Cairo embodies. And capturing some unforgettable photos means you'll always have a piece of those moments to look back on and share. Now, onto the Koshary – what a culinary highlight! That dish is a bona fide Egyptian staple, a hearty mix that's as comforting as it is tasty. The fact that it's made it onto your list for the next visit speaks volumes about how good it must've been. It's one of those experiences where food becomes more than just a meal; it becomes a memory all its own, something that stays with you long after the last bite. Your adventures in Cairo, from the dizzying heights of the tower to the delicious depths of local cuisine, sound absolutely top-notch. It’s brilliant that amidst all the sights and sounds, these two experiences stood out for their uniqueness and the joy they brought you. It sounds like Cairo has left a lasting impression, and it's got you hooked for another round. Thanks for sharing your highlights – it's got me thinking about the wonders of Cairo and the simple pleasure of a good meal with a view. Safe travels on your next adventure, and may it be just as enriching!Written 23 June 2024

- braninn0 contributionsGreat authentic experienceThe tour had numerous memorable moments, but two experiences stood out. First, the panoramic view from the top of Cairo Tower was breathtaking. It provided an authentic perspective of Cairo, sprawling beneath us, and allowed for unbelievable photo opportunities I will treasure forever. The second standout was the delicious Koshary meal we had. It was so good that it has already made it to my list of things to do on my next visit to Cairo.Written 6 May 2024
- ofriaw0 contributionsGreat TourDuring our inaugural trip to the captivating lands of Egypt, we ventured on a private tour on our second day—a decision that would soon prove unforgettable. Our itinerary unfolded with the iconic spectacles of the Giza Pyramids. This enthralling camel ride undoubtedly ranked as the pinnacle of our experiences, as did a visit to the museum that houses millennia of history. Egypt is a treasure trove of history, and seeing it firsthand is truly impressive. However, the depth of such a visit is significantly enriched by the presence of a knowledgeable and passionate guide. We were exceedingly fortunate to have Ashraf accompany us. His exceptional guidance, peppered with insightful personal anecdotes about Egypt's heritage, elevated our experience beyond the mere visual wonders. Finding a guide willing to impart such personal insights is rare, making our time with Ashraf all the more valuable. Aside from the richness of history and culture, another highlight was the reasonable prices, allowing us to indulge in the adventure without hesitation. Ashraf not only significantly contributed to our understanding and appreciation of Egyptian history but also captured some of the most stunning photographs of our entire trip, leaving us with lasting memories we'll cherish forever. Our day amidst the awe-inspiring relics of ancient civilizations, accentuated by the joy of a camel ride and the personal touch of our guide, we made for an indelibly memorable experience. This venture into Egypt's heart, guided by Ashraf's expertise and personability, was not simply a tour; it was a vivid chapter in our travel story, marked by exhilarating encounters and learning.Written 29 April 2024
- poetkerz0 contributionsGreat Tour to Giza PyramidsDuring our inaugural visit to Egypt, on just our second day, we embarked on a private tour that promised—and delivered—an unforgettable encounter with the Giza Pyramids, the Sphinx, and a captivating museum tour, not to mention an exhilarating camel ride that undeniably stood out as a highlight. Egypt's rich tapestry of history is truly awe-inspiring in its own right. Yet, the depth of knowledge and the warmth of a guide can transform a great experience into an extraordinary one. We were fortunate to have Ashraf as our guide. His exceptional insights into Egypt's history shared with a personal touch that was not found in any guide, enriched our understanding and appreciation of the sights we explored. Ashraf's knack for photography also captured some of the best moments of our trip, making our day informative and incredibly memorable. It's one thing to visit Egypt, but it's another to do so with a guide offering reasonable pricing and a personable, engaging tour that makes history come alive.Written 29 April 2024

- krishna201120110 contributionsA Traveler's Tale of Cairo Tower and an Encounter with KosharyCairo, the pulsating heart of Egypt, is a treasure trove of ancient history and vibrant culture. I recently had the chance to experience a slice of this bustling metropolis and its offerings firsthand. Allow me to share with you the two facets of Cairo that made an indelible mark on my traveler's spirit: the iconic Cairo Tower and the delightful experience of eating Koshary. Cairo Tower – Reaching for the Skies Cairo tower or "Borg Al-Qāhirah," as the locals refer to it, is undeniably a modern symbol of Egypt's capital. Standing tall at 187 meters, it extends an open invitation to gaze upon the city from its vantage point. The architecture is impressive, with its lattice tube resembling a lotus plant, and is a testament to the Egyptian ingenuity blending the ancient with the contemporary. The View: The panoramic vista from the observation deck was absolutely breathtaking. The sprawling city stretched below me with infinite narratives in every direction. The Nile curved gracefully as the afternoon sun bathed everything in golden hues. One can spend hours spotting historic landmarks, and feeling the heartbeat of this city from the sky, truly embodies the essence of Cairo. The Experience: Ascending Cairo Tower was reminiscent of the city itself – a blend of chaos and beauty. The ride up the elevator was swift, and the bustling atmosphere at the observation deck added to the excitement. I found the best time to visit was just before sunset. Watching the city transition from day to night was a magical experience that can't be put into words. Koshary – A Culinary Revelation From the heights of Cairo Tower, I descended into the streets to indulge in a dish that is intrinsically Egyptian. Koshary, a comfort dish, is the epitome of street food that captures the spirit of Cairo. The Dish: Koshary is a harmonious mix of carbohydrates and textures. Lentils, rice, pasta, and chickpeas are the hearty base, topped with crispy fried onions and drowned in a zesty tomato sauce with a dash of garlic vinegar that provides an explosion of flavors. It's a staple that's both filling and affordable, providing fuel for the day-to-day Egyptian. The Experience: The experience of eating Koshary in a crowded local joint added an authentic touch. The cacophony of the cooks preparing dish after dish and the lively chatter of the diners created an ambiance full of energy. Each bite of Koshary was a delightful blend of different flavors and textures, making it instantly clear why this dish is so beloved in Cairo. It was not just a meal; it was a culinary adventure. Conclusion To the traveler seeking experiences that touch the soul, Cairo offers these in abundance. The Cairo Tower's enchanting views coupled with the bustling area surrounding it and the sheer delight of tucking into a plate of Koshary in an energetic local spot are experiences I recommend to anyone visiting Cairo. These two icons, one towering above the city and the other nestled within the labyrinth of its streets, are testimonials to the city's ability to offer nourishment for the eyes and the stomach alike.Written 3 April 2024

- 860ellens0 contributionsDay trip from Cairo to AlexandriaI wouldn’t recommend this day trip. For a start, it involves 6 hours of driving (3 hrs each way) and many of the items seen were not even local— were relics relocated to Alexandria from Luxor. As well, our guide Yasser didn’t seem to know much about Alexandria so the day was a bit empty and tedious. Yasser was more enthusiastic about haranguing vacationing Egyptian girls and saying hello to everyone he knew in Alexandria. Not recommended!Written 22 February 2020
- 999PeterK0 contributionsGreat day outOur guide was Zenab, she was very knowledgeable with excellent English. The tour has set locations but Zenab was very flexible with the time taken at each location to make sure we enjoyed our time and had a great experience, which we did. She explained any additional entry costs and how to deal with local touts. A very good tour, it was private for me and my son on a modern mini bus a great day out.Written 9 February 2020

A wonderful tour. Our guide Eraky was very professional and kind. He made it the best experience possible for our last day in Cairo, with showing us the best spots at the pyramids and explaining Egyptian history in detail. He also took a lot of photos for us. The camel ride at sunset was a perfect ending for this tour. Can highly recommend!

Great tour, ZENAB was our tour guide and was very knowledgeable and polite. She and our driver JOSE made us feel very comfortable and knew the best spots to take photos. We felt taken care of.
At the end of the pyramids and Sphinx tour we were taken to an essential oils store. This should be highlighted on the tour as well. Obviously you think it’s a part of the tour game, but you sit after walking all over, given tea, and Maryam walks you through the effects of the oils almost like a museum. We buy a small bottle at the end, there’s no tug and pull, which is why I think it should be promoted as part of the tour.
Thanks again ZENAB !!!

We really enjoyed our day with Fatima. This was our final and best tour of our trip. Fatima is energetic, interesting and takes great photos. She knows a lot and shares information well. She is also very accommodating. We'd definitely want her as a guide on a future trip.

My wife and I did the day trip to the Giza Pyramids, rode camels, went to the Museum... This tour was so much fun and so memorable. Our tour guide Zenab was so sweet and knowledgeable. She picked us up from our hotel, her and the driver Badr... And away we went. She never made us feel rushed, she took our photos, had good suggestions, I really couldn't recommend it enough.

Our trip started off great and only got better as the day went on! That is all thanks to our guide, Zenab and her driver. Much to my wife’s and I surprise we were provided with probably the nicest and most accommodating tour guide (and person) I have ever met. Zenab provided for us at every turn. She was very efficient, professional and knowledgeable, never pushy or impatient which made our experience SO MUCH BETTER than we thought was possible. She took outstanding photos for us. Prior to going to Cairo to see the pyramids, internet blogs/vlogs was really the only means of local learning we had prior to arrival. We heard the rumors about con artists and pushy sellers, petty crimes and just the annoyance of being hassled...well, I can say we were protected from that by Zenab. She literally made the trip worthwhile, she took us to places where we enjoyed eating food, purchasing authentic Egyptian souvenirs, and the museum with a thorough history lesson. I have already recommended her by name to others who saw our trip and asked about it. Highly recommend trip and tour guide!
