    Excellent tour
Nour and our driver Peter were amazing guides! We could not have asked for a better experience. They were very accommodating to my older parents' needs for frequent bathroom breaks and slower pace, without compromising on the experience for the rest of us. Nour was very knowledgable about all of the sites and took many family photos for us. Peter was a safe driver and always picked us up after our sightseeing very promptly and conveniently, so that our walking in the heat was minimal. Both of them recommended excellent and affordable lunch options. 100% would recommend this tour to anyone.

Cairo by Night is a must!
We had a fantastic evening exploring Cairo with our guide Nour. We loved the views from atop Cairo tower and enjoyed exploring the night market. Nour went out of his way to facilitate both visits, and ensured we were prepared to negotiate prices on our purchases. The highlight was definitely dinner — a traditional koshary. We weren’t sure based on the description, but it was amazingly delicious. Thanks so much to Nour and the team for a great experience!

Fun adventure during layover at Cairo International Airport,
We went during a long layover from the Cairo airport. Trusted them with our luggage in the car. Had so much fun with our guide - Nour! Really showed us around and made us feel at home. Very knowledgeable teacher! Saw the pyramids & sphinx, camel riding, cotton store, accent writing, perfume store, had a delicious lunch with a view of the pyramids.

    Great day trip to Alexandria
Great private tour from Cairo taking in the many of the main sites. Start early to beat the traffic is worth it. Visited the catacombs, amphitheater, Roman pillar, library and the fort. Plenty to see and I love the fact of the Mediterranean coast. My favorite was the fort. Quite new in Egyptian terms at 800 years old but wonderful as you look out on the sea. End with lunch. Choose the Fish Market. Has a sea view of the fort while I enjoyed grouper served with rice, salads and lots of wonderful fresh made bread. And the my guide Mimo was fabulous. Used him for three different excursions and he made everything easy. He sorted all the tickets and would adjust to accommodate our requests.

    Fabulous Fatma
As you can imagine, these attractions are well attended and can be somewhat overwhelming UNLESS you are with Master of Timing Fatma. Fatma not only gave us the most understandable and interesting history, she magically was able to get us to the most coveted places before all the crowds. Not only was she a Master of Timing, she is an incredible photographer. We spent two amazing days with Fatima and our driver and would highly recommend this dynamic team for these two heavily populated cities. Fatma”s English was PERFECT! Absolutely no misunderstanding, easy to follow and she has a great sense of humor. Our driver navigated the streets masterfully which is saying a lot! We would definitely go anywhere with this team. Thanks for the amazing memories ❤️

    Must do tour!
My husband and I came to Cairo eager to see the famous attractions! Karam was our tour guide and made this experience a reality! He and our driver met us at our hotel lobby that morning which was so convenient and easy. On the way to the pyramids we learned about so much history and Karam was full of knowledge and answered all our questions. We got to the pyramids before many of the bigger tour companies so it was less crowded! We had ample time to learn about the pyramids and explore and take pictures! Then we went on our camel ride, again wow!! We were able take lots of pictures on the camels with the incredible backdrop of the pyramids behind us. After that we went to the Sphinx! Again we got there at the perfect time, before it was crowded and felt like we had the whole place to ourselves! The next stop on our tour was some special shops that showed us more about what makes Egypt so special. Then it was lunch- rooftop overlooking the pyramids- wow! Then we drove to the most famous market, which we were able to choose the length of time we wished to stay and Karam guided our way! Our last stop was the Ancient Museum! It was incredible to see all the artifacts you’ve read about in history books! This trip was a once in a lifetime experience and we couldn’t have done it without a guide! This is a must do tour on your next adventure in Cairo!

Complete thieves - please read for your safety
It is with a heavy heart that I have to write this review. Seeing the amazing reviews on here, we put all of our trust on Pyramids Land Tours. We booked several tours a few months ahead in 2021 worth over $1000 and we decided to pay in full ahead of time. The communication was great at first and all was fine until our trip was suddenly cancelled a few weeks before our trip due to new government regulations related to the Omnicron variant (we didn’t cancel it by choice). Instead of requesting a refund I emailed Pyramid Land Tours and asked if they could keep the money but rebook for the same tours the following year , and they agreed (see email screenshot). The following year I emailed them to let them know the good news that everything was rebooked and we would love to tour with them. I sent them several emails, all of which were completely ignored. I tried emailing from a different email asking for a new booking and of course they answered, so I had my answer - they stole our money. It would have been so easy to rebook us - I even told them in one of the many emails I sent that I am willing to let go of some of the tours, or pay extra, but their greediness took the better of them. I don’t doubt that if everything goes well , they are a superb tour company as the many reviews have said….but if they have the opportunity they will steal from you. The tour guides are probably amazing and they are good people but the management / owner is crooked . Why take a chance that something out of the ordinary will happen to your trip or on your trip while you are with this company and your money will be stolen? Find an alternate company.

I'm not exaggerating, but this may have been the best day of our lives second to our wedding! Everything was amazing! Our magnificent tour guide arrived promptly at 7:59am ready with a comfortable van and a great driver. She was so knowledgeable and gave us so much information about Egyptian culture throughout the tour. We started with the Giza Pyramids and camel ride first to beat the crowds. We had the Pyramids virtually to ourselves compared to high season tourism. She set us up with her favorite camel tour guide, who was the sweetest man ever! He helped us on the camel, guided us the entire route and took amazing photos of us on our camera. He deserved every bit of his tip. We then were escorted back to the van to the gate where our guide got our tickets, scanned us through security and started the tour of the Pyramids. She let us spend as much time as we wanted to take photos for each site. Then once we were done with the pyramids and sphinx we headed to a few local shops for authentic Egyptian jewelry and papyrus. We then went to lunch and my God! The food was amazing but the view may of been even better! We were on a rooftop terrace overlooking the pyramids! Beautiful! My husband and I couldn't stop taking pictures but she let us take our time. We then had the option to go to an Egyptian cotton shop, but opted out to go directly to the museum. There she got our tickets, escorted us in and showed us the highlights. We were pumped to get into the royal mummy room and paid 100 Egyptian pound per person for entry, not bad at all. After that, we were ready to head to the gift shop and go to our next stop at the Bazzar. It was awesome! You'll definitely get hounded to buy from each store owner, but that was to be expected. We still had fun because everyone was so kind! All in all, look nowhere else to book your Giza tour because this was the most memorable and spectacular day we could've had.

We started the tour at the pyramids after our very knowledgeable egyptologist tour guide, Mimo, explained to us the history of Egypt and the ancient pyramids. Mimo speaks great english, is very interactive and fun and can answer any question you throw at him. He took us inside the central pyramid and then for a very fun camel ride with a great view of all 3 pyramids.

After that we went to see the sphinx and the mummification temple which was an incredible experience!

We were then taken to a local family run aromatherapy store, which created some amazing natural scents with no alcohol, giving a longer lasting smell and health benefits. We then went to a local papyrus shop which had amazing art pieces that you could even buy customised with your name for as little as 20 USD.

After that we had a great lunch with local food that was included within the tour price with some starters, a mixed grill main and some fruit for after.

We had some additional time due to traffic so visited a local Egyptian cotton shop and then went to the museum in cairo to see some amazing sarcophagi and King Tut’s treasure.

Finally we visited the local bazaar and for the experience, we weren’t hassled too much and Mimo was very helpful with not allowing this.

Would 100% recommend the tour with Mimo and the best driver, Zimo! Zimo drove very professionally and we felt very safe, very nice condition car and was always there to pick us up when we finished a particular part.

They also kindly dropped us at the train station and walked in with us to make sure it was the right place.

Thanks Mimo and Zimo for a fantastic experience in Cairo in such a short time!

The beautiful Gizas and sphinx temples were our first stop. Yassar our guide for the day was very informative with lots of knowledge about each of the pyramids and sphinx.
we were taken on a camel ride and got some fantastic shots of the pyramids whilst on camels. It was magical experience.
Lunch was at abu shakira which had a fantastic view to go along with the fantastic food.
We were then taken to Papyrus gallery and was greeted by very friendly staff who showed us the paper making technique and displaying the beautiful art.
The Egyptian museum was filled with fantastic artifacts which Yassar executed us around expertly picking out the museums highlights.
To finish the tour we popped into the bar to view all the bits and Bob's being sold
A fantastic day tour a fanatic tour guide in Yassar and would highly recommend

Pickup right on time very nice having private car especially around pyramids it was very busy. Guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. Great tour of pyramids and camel rides was bumpy but fun. Need to tip camel person so bring a little extra money. As with a few other tours we took in Egypt they include a few things they don't list this one was papyrus factory and essential oils shop. These are clearly getting kickbacks to bring people but no real sales pressure so that was nice. The papyrus and prints you could buy we're ok I guess but ranged between 20-2000 dollars USD prices were marked in USD so clearly a tourist trap. Again no pressure for sale so that was nice at least. Lunch ok they don't include drinks with lunch, weird, bit bring a little extra, drinks are pretty cheap if it's water or cola, maybe 200 e total so not terrible but annoying to have to have cash. Cairo Museum was great tour guide wanted to guide us around and I think i would have preferred to be dropped off and picked up later didn't realize it was a guided tour. King Tut area was amazing totally worth the visit. Guide and driver were great. Like other tours they need to skip the tourist traps not only would I never buy from these areas but it makes the tours unnecessarily longer. We are already trying to see a lot here in a short time and having to wait on things because you're somewhere you don't want to be and is not described is annoying more than anything. I would certainly still recommend because of the private driver and cost isn't too bad, request in the beginning to ONLY see what is expected, I believe a clear itinerary would have eliminated many unnecessary stops.

An incredible tour that is worth every single penny. Mimo (Mahmoud) and Yaser picked us up at our hotel promptly at 8 am. We had constantly been communicating on Whatsapp, so we had everything well planned out. The van was large and air-conditioned, which would come in handy as a cooling spot between spots. Mimo is an archeologist, so we loved not only his knowledge but also his passion for Egypt's history.

Our first stop was the pyramids and as we drove along the highway, Mimo explained some of the things we saw and tips on culture and the history of Egypt. Once we got to the pyramids, Mimo explained how it worked and avoided all the vendors. He took care of our tickets and guided us into the complex. You can tell he loves the pyramids as he is very passionate when he speaks about them, which made them come alive for my colleague and me. I should also note that this is a private tour, so it was just the two of us on tour.

The complex was not very crowded at all in the morning and it felt like we had the entire area almost to ourselves. Mimo explained the history of the pyramids and also where to take the best pictures. We purchased a ticket to go into one of the pyramids and while it was hot, it was well worth it to climb into the heart of the pyramid. Keep in mind that it can get a little claustrophobic in the tunnel.

Mimo's passion was felt throughout our entire tour, including the National Museum of Cairo, where you can see the King Tut Artifacts and the Khan El-Khalili Bazar. We also had lunch at a local restaurant and we enjoyed the kabobs immensely.

I know some will wonder about Covid and both Mimo and Yaser were vaccinated and my colleague and me. Most of the locals do not wear masks, but employees at hotels do. The crowds are pretty light at the major tourist attractions, so we feel that this was completely worth it.

This was definitely one of my top tours and I take them to almost every destination we travel to.

A great private tour by Mimo and the driver Zimo. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to spend a full day in Cairo and see the culture without being overwhelmed :)

They pick you up from your place of stay, provide water and lunch, drive you everywhere so your time outside (especially in hot weather) is minimal, even at pyramids (distances are big). They drop you off as well. It is incredibly convenient, considering crazy distances and traffic in Cairo.

Special note about lunch, they accommodate to the best of the ability any dietary requirements. We were provided with good vegan (plant based) options of local cuisine.

The tour itself is very interesting, the guide is a egyptolygist himself and very passionate about history and culture of Egypt. His enthusiasm and knowledge really make you immerse yourself fully in ancient Egypt magic.

As part of the tour you also visit an old aromatherapy family-owned business with most exquisite natural oils and perfumes (you will definitely want to buy something so bring your credit card or cash), lovely souvenir shop with local high quality produce (a lot of jewellery, pure gold and silver) and you will finally learn how to make a papyrus.

I highly recommend A VERY EARLY START (7.30 am), because not only the weather at pyramids site will barbecue you a bit (even in October-November), but also amount of tourists and school trips (Friday and Saturday predominantly) and hustlers at the market there will ruin your pictures and maybe even mood :D

Thank you Mimo and Zimo for a very memorable day and great pictures for life 👍

Our day trip with Yasser and our driver started with collection from our hotel promptly at 8 am, we were met with great friendliness and professionalism. Yasser our guide was extremely informative, we started with a visit to the great Giza pyramids then onto camel rides that were so much fun. We went onto the Sphinx followed by the pyprus gallery and ended the morning with a delicious traditional lunch. After lunch we caused the Cairo museum and local bazaar. This tour was a great experience and I would recommend any visits to Cairo would not be complete without it. It was definitely made better by using a first rate tour company.

I would highly recommend this tour if you want to cover a lot of things but only have limited time. My guide Eslam was great - communication was fantastic before the tour and in the morning before pick up, he was very friendly and knowledgeable, and was on hand to take great photos throughout the trip! Given how shops were closed on the day of my booking the Bazaar visit did not make much sense, so we adjusted the tour itinerary to keep it as exciting and interesting as possible which I really appreciated. I was provided with fresh cold water during the day which was perfect, and Eslam called to double check that a vegetarian lunch was available for me at the restaurant. As a female solo traveller I felt super comfortable throughout the day. I would absolutely recommend this tour!

This tour was absolutely amazing!! Our tour guide Amal was fantastic! She communicated with us the day before and picked us up from our hotel. She was very knowledgeable about the history of Egypt and provided us with tremendous insight on everything. We started off going to the pyramids with a camel ride (which was so much fun), then we went to the Great Sphinx. After that we went to a few different shops, one with essential Egyptian oils, a papyrus store wheee they showed us how it’s made from the papyrus plant, and then went to a fixed price Bazaar. We picked up some amazing fixed prices souvenirs at each stop! Amal then took us to a local restaurant for lunch which was delicious! We then went to the Egyptian museum, where Amal gave us an amazing tour and provided us with rich history of all of the artifacts on display. Finally, we went to the Khan Al-Khalili bazaar where we shopped with multiple vendors. Overall, this tour was absolutely amazing because of Amal! She was so patient, inviting and personable. We are so happy she was our tour guide and we hope that we can meet her again. Thank you Amal and thank you to the driver for keeping us safe throughout our tour of Cairo!! 5 stars all around!!!!

Such a memorable day. Youssef was an absolutely brilliant tour guide; so knowledgeable and enthusiastic. He was very flexible with the structure of the day to fit in with our wishes and timescales too. Mr Ahmed, our driver, was also excellent when it came to navigating the chaotic Cairo traffic.

In terms of the itinerary itself, the pyramids complex was obviously a bucket-list item ticked off. The Great Pyramid was very impressive, however it gets pretty tight for space I'm there, so I wouldn't recommend it for claustrophobes. The same can be said for the secondary pyramid. The tourist photo panoramic area was excellent and the views are stellar. The camel ride was incredibly entertaining and yielded some of the best photos of the day. We then went to a perfume shop where we were treated to a testing session and came away with some great gifts for relatives. Considering it was included in the cost of the excursion, lunch was excellent; really tasty food in a restaurant with exceptional views of the pyramids. The Egyptian Museum was fantastic - in fact we could have spent all day there but alas time did not allow for that.

Overall, I would highly recommend this tour. It was worth every penny.
