This tour is ideal for travelers who want to learn about the history of North and South Korea and the Demilitarized Zone. Travel with a guide while visiting sites, making the most of your journey by learning about the important strip of land that separates North and South Korea. Plus, you can opt for an afternoon spent visiting the shops and galleries of Insadong Antique Street.
What to Expect
Following hotel pickup, your first stop is Imjingak, a park housing statues and monuments dedicated to the Korean War. Continue to the Freedom Bridge and the 3rd Infiltration Tunnel.

Then, head to the DMZ Museum, where you check out artifacts and photographs. Next, look out at North Korea with provided binoculars from the Dora Observatory.

Afterward, visit Kijongdong, which is also known as Peace Village. It's a model North Korean village. Your next destination is Dorasan Station, which once connected North and South Korea by train. Your guide tells you about the station’s symbolic significance.

Finally, pass by Unification Village, a model farming community in South Korea.

If you choose the half-day tour, stop at a Seoul restaurant for lunch or return to your hotel after a short visit to a ginseng center.

If you choose the full-day tour, return to Seoul for lunch, then spend the afternoon exploring the boutiques, tea houses, and art galleries on Insadong Antique Street.

Nice tour with historical details

Went on a day tour combining DMZ tunnel, freedom park and seoul-DMZ train. Monorail to tunnel was good experience and walking in the tunnel was also fun. Explanation of historical details behind the tunnel was also great.

I don't know much about the hotel. Read the reviews on here and other sites before making a decision. As far as the DMZ is concerned, you should be able to go. Just make sure your passport is valid and not expired on the day... More
