Pass By: Maha Bandula Park, Maha Bandula Road, ရန်ကုန်, Myanmar (Burma)

At 5:00 PM at our meeting point, we’ll head on foot through the heart of downtown, past landmarks like Mahabandoola Park, city hall, and Sule Pagoda. Stop at our best choice local tea shop which is popular with its noodle dishes and local tea. Indeed, there are two kinds of Burmese tea: strong tea with condensed milk and sugar which is brought to Myanmar by the British more than a century ago and nature green tea which is served as complimentary in most of tea shop. Trishaw will be waiting outside and from here; we will explore the lively downtown area with trishaw. Ride down through the Pansodan Street where most of colonial buildings stand. Then proceed to Bo Aung Kyaw Street; Churches and former Ministry Building compound and Strand Street to see Telegraph office, Custom House, Strand Hotel, Yangon Post Office. Stop for capturing the moment and dating back to old days. Enjoy the sunrise view at Bottahtaung Jetty. The jetty is busy with small ferry boat and local people. The ferry boat is the main transport to across the river for the people from suburban area. Continue riding till the 19th Street by passing through gridded, and gridlocked, streets of downtown Yangon. You will see vendors and hawkers selling everything from maps to antiques. The 19th Street, a perfect place for streets foods and snacks, will definitely give you a taste of nightlife in China town.
