Excellent, safe, and fun tour of Galilee
Max did great as a guide and our driver was safe/professional. The guide, Max was sensitive to my wife's disabilities. Max was multilingual too, knowing both Spanish and Russian, as do I. This was helpful, as I didn't need to translate to Spanish for my wife. He could speak directly with her. The tour was great also because I preferred to relax and let someone else drive for a day. We felt safe and cared for as well, given the current conflict situation. The tour was timely, fun, and educational. It was a pleasure to experience what Israel's northern Galilee region had to offer. We came to Israel to volunteer, as well as for sightseeing. We came to stand with Israel in this difficult time, and felt safe and fulfilled in doing so.

High Energy Fun. Amazing Guide. Highly Recommend!
ATV Desert Buggies in the Negev was amazing! The machines were fabulous and our guide - Daniel - was amazing. We had SO much fun. We went for 2 hours, but next time we will take a longer trek. He took us on an amazing ride around the crater - served the best homemade cold tea ever and explained how the crater was formed with greater clarity than I've ever heard. Was absolutely very high energy and fun - but completely safe. Kids had an amazing time! We will absolutely be back and highly recommend!

Our guide was great and the sites were spectacular. He gave us a wonderful historical perspective and told us several interesting stories relevant to the sites we saw. The driver was also excellent.

Transfer from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem
Taxi ride was a good guy, but he accidentally deleted my pick up so he was an hour plus late. I had to call him to find out where he was. He got there within the half hour after I made the phone call, which was great. He said that a pick up was canceled, but he deleted the wrong one accidentally. We all make mistakes.

    Must see locations
All three locations were amazing. The tour requires a fair amount of hiking in Ein Gedi and Masada, but it is absolutely worth it! Driving through the Judean desert is beautiful, floating in the Dead Sea is a unique experience everyone should try. The views in Ein Gedi and Masada are incredible.

Know the difference between a "tour" and a "transfer"
Seeing that this is a touring company, I booked what I thought was a private tour to the south with a professional guide. However, they called it a "transfer" and simply provided me with a regular taxi driver at double the price of the open market. Be warned to read the small print and distinguish the difference between a "tour" and a "transfer". To their credit, the service/corresponce with the company was good and the taxi was clean and comfortable with a friendly and safe driver.

    Do Not Use Them!
5 days before our trip we have a pc to firm up details & pricing for multiple tours. 2 days later the invoice comes, looks nothing like our discussion & is for $2K LESS than agreed upon. A tour company couldn’t sort (for example) 4 afternoons at $500 per for just 2 people? Their excuse was “the war, people aren’t coming”. My hotel was full of tourists & we met tourists everywhere we went- on our own, in a country where we didn’t speak or read the language. We did use TI for a 3 day Petra tour, which was lovely, but the preparatory comms were abysmal: delayed, unclear, spotty at best. Informed we needed to file docs for entry to Jordan in advance that was only sent to us the night before leaving! After spending 2 frustrating hours online, discovered it was completely unnecessary. Because it was after hours, we called the emergency number provided, to try to get clarification, but no one answered. Find a different tour operator; this one is unreliable & unresponsive.

This company will take your money and run
They took an $800 deposit last September 2023 and we were supposed to go this June 2024. They ignored a request for refund since January of 2024 and stopped communication. They are not to be trusted as a true tour company. They possibly do day trips but are not a real company. We will continue to attempt a refund but it looks bleak and they are probably not financially not sound. DO NOT SEND THEM MONEY

    The best guide ever
We went for a one-day trip to Masada, Ein Gedi and the Dead Sea with Omer Geva as a guide. Omer is absolutely fantastic person with great sense pf humour and a very professional guide who knows every detail about Israel's history and nature. We can strongly recommmend the trip to everyone who wants to explore Israel. Iga & Gosia

We were staying in Tel Aviv for a short 4 night city break, Keen to enjoy the nightlife and learn about its unique history we booked the half day tour starting in Jaffa. Sivan the guide albeit quiet in manner provided an engaging fascinating narrative as we walked patiently through the streets. For us we don't want a loud big personality shouting their way through a tour. I thought for us Sivan was perfect. Our only regret was having to leave half way through.
We stayed close to Sivan throughout and had the opportunity to ask the odd question which he took the time to answer. He does ask the group the odd question to get people involved. Obviously the more you show interest and take part the more you will get from the tour.

I booked the half-day Tel Aviv walking tour followed by the Carmel Market food tour. My guide Yael was amazing! She was knowledgeable, friendly and I learned so much about the area. You see so many sights and learn about the history of Tel Aviv. Food selection was great, I was stuffed by the end of the tour. This was the perfect start for my first day in Israel as a solo traveler. Highly recommend.

Neither my partner nor I know much about architecture, so a 2 hour walking tour around Tel Aviv’s UNESCO listed neighborhoods was a bit of a punt.

Thank goodness we decided to try it. Our guide Amit was a real teacher, with a passion for his subject. Rather than just point and talk like many guides would do, he made this a more interactive educational experience. It really stimulated our minds and after the tour we could not look at an eclectic or Bauhaus styled building in the same way again.

Thoroughly recommended and not just for architecture geeks.

Thanks, kissthesunsetpig, for your kind words about Amit and our Tel Aviv Architecture Tour. It sounds as though you and your partner were able to explore Tel Aviv and admire both the Bauhaus buildings but also the engaging and interactive experience with Amit. We are so happy you decided to give the tour and a chance and that you both enjoyed the experience. We thank you for choosing the services of Tourist Israel and hope we will see you both again in the future!

I did the walking tour today and really enjoyed the old town. I noticed on Tripadvisor and Viator the description for this tour is incorrect, this is definitely a walking tour of old town Jaffa and it was really excellent and a nice small group too. I had to leave halfway through to get my flight but I wish I could have done the whole tour. The guide was really helpful and knowledgeable, there was even time to look inside St Peter's Church and overall the pace was really nice. We passed other walking groups which were in my opinion too big in size, this was a great size group and I'd definitely recommend Tourist Israel. Thanks for the great tour!

Interesting tour of Jaffa. But the Neve Tzedek portion of the tour to which we looked forward (and its inclusion in the title was our primary reason for signing up for this tour as we’d been to Jaffa previously) was missing. This tour needs a new title & description.

Yael was a super guide. She was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic in her presentation. The Neve Tzedek was lovely. Especially enjoyed the graffiti tour and learning about the artist. I used Tourist Israel for numerous tours or transport , VIP at airport and knew I could trust their professionalism

Guide is very knowledgeable and helpful.

Unfortunately it was an extremely busy day at Carmel Market. Hard to see, to enjoy or to try anything.

Took the Jaffa and Neve Tzedek walking tour, $39 per person.

Unfortunately our tour guide just wasn’t good:

- unable to speak loud enough for more than a few people to hear him

- after being asked to speak louder he just said, “I can’t” and continued speaking at the same very quiet volume, no attempt was made to speak louder, I’ve never experienced this on a tour before.

- he annoyingly mentioned, “sometimes I bring a speaker so people can hear me” — he did not have a speaker

- for the entire 3 hour tour people just kept asking him to speak louder and he just kept ignoring it

- our guide did not have a good enough grasp of English to present the tour effectively. I live in Israel so I’m familiar with accents and common odd word substitutions (they sometimes translate words literally that do not have the same meaning). My mother who lives in the US could not understand his stories.

- we did not continue on to the second half of the tour (Carmel Market tasting) but he finished our tour 1 hour late and kept calling those people that were meeting him and telling them he was going to be late. He kept joking with us that he’s always late to that part of the tour.

- in general he just wasn’t an engaging guide, no enthusiasm for the material, very little energy. I’ve never experienced a tour guide like this.

There is a Sandeman’s free walking tour of Yafo (you tip at the end), I have taken it and it was much better than this $40/person tour.

Last notes:

This tour is billed as a “Jaffa/Neve Tzedek” walking tour, at no point does it come near Neve Tzedek.

I emailed all of this to Tourist Israel and no one responded, so I’m posting here.
