What to expect
Meet a driver at your hotel in Tel Aviv, and then follow the scenic coastal highway to Nazareth where Jesus is believed to have spent much of his childhood. Have a look at the Basilica of the Annunciation and St. Joseph’s Church, built on sites where Mary and Joseph are believed to have lived and worked. From there, continue to Kfar Cana, site of the Biblical water-to-wine miracle, before heading to the Sea of Galilee. Visit the ancient city of Capernaum to see an excavated synagogue where Jesus is believed to have taught, and then take in views of the Golan Heights from Tabgha, thought to be the site of the Biblical miracle of loaves and fishes. In July 2020, we went on a 2 day + tour of the North starting in Tel Aviv and ending in Jerusalem. Our guide's name was probably Yaakov, but he called himself Yakkey. I had been to Israel several times, but 30 years ago. The change and growth amazing! Yakkey was great, he injected personal history, warmth and obvious love of Israel at every step. The tour ended in Jerusalem, and when we reached Hebrew University in Jerusalem, He broke out a bottle of wine to drink a "L'Chaim" with everyone. What a sweet touch! He left such a lasting positive impression on my wife and me, that even a year later, I still felt compelled to leave a glowing review about him, this tour and this company.

I took a trip of a lifetime to Israel. Enrique Merkier, the historian guide and driver made the trip magical. As a history teacher, I commend him on his extensive knowledge of the Bible, history and geopolitical issues. In addition, Enrique was personable, humorous , patient, and considerate with his guests. Also he went "above and beyond the call of duty."
He has proven to be the epitome of what the role model representing the company,' Rent a guide" should be. Thanks for a memorable trip, Enrique.

Wow, what a wonderful week in Israel , touring around to the most beautiful sites you can possibly see. Meni Tzabari, our tour guide leader , instantly made you feel at home and really made the trip fantastic. He was filled with knowledge like no other and was welcoming and engaging. He became your friend on this tour and you felt like you could trust him with anything. He was always concerned with how the group was doing and asked us many questions as he explained each site , making you really think about the meaning behind everything. He was very organized and took us to some of the best sites around. Learned so much about Israel and would love to come back to learn more. Only would recommend him to all my friends and family who want to travel to Israel ! The time went by so fast but from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem this tour is a must do. I was so happy to be a part of this tour and highly recommend to anyone looking to visit Israel.

Our guide, Meni Tzabari, was the most patient, compassionate, gracious, interesting, honest, trustworthy, funny, logical, straight-forth, candid, organized, considerate, respectful and caring person that I`ve met in a longtime. Meni gave me a new way of looking at life and a new love for my Jewish heritage . I am a Jewish believer in Christ for the last 46 years and Meni has made many things clearer to me by the way he guided and explained everything on this wonderful and memorable trip of a life time. I am forever grateful for having met him.

The Biblical Highlights of the Galilee is exactly as set forth in the brochure. First you visit the Basilica of the Annunciation and the Church of St. Joseph, followed by other new testament biblical sites and ending at the baptismal site on the River Jordan. Our guide was very knowledgeable and the stops appropriate for the sites seen. One word of caution: Lunch is not included and you are pretty much coerced into joining the group at the "St. Peter's Restaurant" on the shores of the Sea of Galilee, where you can eat the so-called "Famous St. Peter's Fish". (There is no other restaurant around so you pretty much have to eat there.) The lunch costs 80 shekels - about US$21. The St. Peter's Fish tastes like any other fish served in mass quantities. There is a salad buffet which isn't bad, but since every bus tour group stops at the restaurant, the place is mobbed. There are literally hundreds of people in the cavernous room so waits at the salad buffet can be fairly long. But the wait staff does a pretty good job in getting the main course served and of course in collecting the money for the lunch.

My mom and I, did a trip and it was awesome. Charlie was our guide. He is knowledgeable, funny and very pleasant to be around. We were only 5 people in the tour, which made it very personal and easy to follow. Charlie answered any of the questions we had, and had an inspiring positive attitude. If you choose this company ask for Charlie!

The tour started off with a bumpy start, picking me up 1 hour later than expected. I wasn’t too fussed as I’d read other reviews that mentioned these tours weren’t exactly punctual. Our tour of 10 people was led by Ariel and he was a good guide with excellent English. I learnt a lot on the tour and found it really interesting. However we did spend a significant amount of time inefficiently, ie in souvenir shops, and one hour for lunch at St Peter’s restaurant, which was rather average and too long - see my pic for the set menu. No other options available for lunch. The restaurant was basically only for tourists and not great at all. Would have preferred to stop at a simple bakery. The drive home was long (2 hrs) and with no commentary, so a bit boring. Overall a reasonable tour, but in comparison to another tour of Jerusalem that I did with Hallelujah Tours, I’d probably spend a bit more money and do Hallelujah Tours again as the experience was superior.

I book this tour from Jerusalem, what a mistake. I got up at 5 am, they pick me up at 6 am at Jerusalem. Then we went Tel Aviv to pick up more people . We were the first one so we have to go around hotel and pick up. so much time is wasted. By the time we leave Tel Aviv it is almost 8 am. It was a long day. The tour was okay I guess. Then we drop of people at Tel Aviv. By the time we got to Jerusalem, it is about 7:30 pm. The shuttle driver didn't drop me at my hostel because he wasn't inform to my hostel. So he drop me at Jaffa gate and I have to walk about 20 minute to my hostel. By the time I got to my hostel it is 8 pm. Never in my life will take this tour from Jerusalem again. Don't recommend to anybody take this tour form Jerusalem especially if shuttle driver drop you off where he please. Never again.

Guide Raffi was knowledgeable, engaging, humorous and dynamic.

Rhythm of the tour could have been more efficient. It took a long time to get the tour started because they were consolidating people at a second meeting point. Not a homogenous rhythm because lunch time was too late (about 2pm instead of Noon). Nobody appreciated the last stop before lunch very deeply because they were too hungry. Still the big Peter's Boat Church there was a good one.

Lunch location probably could have been better. Guide said restaurant would offer beef, but the restaurant only gave beef to one person and denied it to others (they were pushing fish of which many of the group were understandably skeptical).

The tour won't pick people up who are renting an apartment in the city, only at a big hotel such as the Royal Beach.

The Nativity Church in Nazareth was authentic. The mosaics were interesting, such as the Japanese one with real pearls.

St. Joseph's Church was where Jesus's father was working his carpenter trade, interesting for Christians and people who like history.

The 1000s of years-old road Via Maris was amazing because of its ancient history. It started in the Bronze Age, linking Egypt with the northern empires.

The Jordan was vast and beautiful though the mass-tourism of the baptism site made for a messy experience. Many complaints from the women's bathroom, which required money to use.

Pleasant part of the trip were all the older American tourists who have enthusiasm and class. Recommended is the smallest group of 19 or less rather than the big one.

Very interesting tour visiting scenes from the Bible - Nazareth, Capernum, Sea of Galilee and River of Jordan baptismal site. Highlights were the Church of Annunciation and views across Sea of Galilee. I enjoyed the history and humour of our tour guide Silvia - her Scottish tones set me back to Sunday school days in Scottieland. I certainly recommend this day tour.
