      Very safe and private tour
Once in a life time, experience the history if Jesus in the place where he lived and grown up. It was very safe, and the loval guide was amazing! I felt the love of Jesus and these holy lands and it was very emotional joy!

      Dead Sea
The Dead Sea is an endorheic lake located in the Jordan Rift Valley, a geographic feature formed by the Dead Sea Transform (DST). This left lateral-moving transform fault lies along the tectonic plate boundary between the African Plate and the Arabian Plate. It runs between the East Anatolian Fault zone in Turkey and the northern end of the Red Sea Rift offshore of the southern tip of Sinai. It is here that the Upper Jordan River/Sea of Galilee/Lower Jordan River water system comes to an end.

Fantastic tour with an excellent tour guide - would book it again every time i am at place
The trip to Bethlehem on 9/20 2023, with the visit to the Shepherd's Field, the Church of the Nativity, the Milk Grotto, the tour of the old town of Bethlehem and the subsequent trip to the Dead Sea with the opportunity to swim is one of the most beautiful experiences of our trip to Israel. In particular, the tour guide Elias enriched the trip extraordinarily from a human and intellectual perspective. Elias knows how to impart historical knowledge in a perfect way, but never forgetting the humor in the seriousness of the topics. An unforgettable encounter. I would book exactly this trip again every time I visit Israel, always on the condition that Elias is available as a tour guide in Bethlehem. Thanks a lot for this wonderful day to a fair prize.

Best half day tour to Bethlehem!
Best half day tour focusing specifically on Bethlehem. We visited all the most important landmarks and had the opportunity to go down into the birth grotto 🙏🏼 Johnny is the best tour guide!

      Best of both worlds Tour
This tour from Elijah Tours and Travel lives up to it's many 5* reviews... it was everything we expected when I booked it. The organization, the scheduling, the transport, and the stops were all perfect. It wasnt a huge group, which was very nice. Our guide was for Bethlehem was "Elias" and he was very very good. He sprinkled in humor (Saint Elias) and he kept the group moving at a very steady pace...keeping stragglers (Ann---na!) in check. His local knowledge as a Palestinian Christian was quite illuminating. He did not shy away from alternative views from other people on the tour...and I respect him greatly for that. This is a very active tour...lots of walking...especially in the old section of Bethlehem. (which was what we hoped for) One caveat...better have a good bladder on this one....it was hot and lots of water was necessary. Go at every stop...and grab that extra falafel...thank me later. The Dead Sea part was for us-- perfect. You really only need a couple hours here. Lockers are cheap, bring a towel. The floating experience and the warm mud was incredible. I wasnt aware of the all the warnings about the water and its potential toxicity...so read the literature and keep your face and ears out of the water. Make sure and verify departure time from here...dont be rushing from the well stocked Dead Sea bar to the lot when its time to leave like we were :) lol Thanks R

Highly recommend! Elias’ humour is unreal
We booked on to do the half day Bethlehem tour from Tel Aviv with a drop off in Jerusalem. We were picked up on time from our pick up location and taken to Jerusalem where we then joined a larger group on a coach. Elias delivered our tour and it was incredibly insightful and pack full of fascinating information! Not only this, but Elias was absolutely hilarious and without him, the tour would not have been the same! Thought the tour, Elias stopped and treated us to falafel and Arabic coffee, both of which were delicious! Elias, you’re incredible at what you do and are an incredibly friendly and funny guy. Thank you for such a fantastic and informative tour, we will definitely be recommending to friends and family!

Good & beautiful in Bethlehem, but could be better with guide in Jericho
The visit to Bethlehem was very beautiful, to see the cradle of Jesus Christ and to see the place where he was born, especially with an amazing tour guide, who explained to us the history of Bethlehem, and answered all our inquiries, even we were a large group of tourists, All the places I saw, including the Milk Grotto and the old city of Bethlehem and shepherds field . When we finished Bethlehem and headed to Jericho, even though I knew that the trip would be without a guide, I was disappointed Because I relied on previous reviews that were excellent, however( I preferred to book a trip with a guide). We had George’s companion with us, but his information was minimal, and we relied on some guidance from sites such as the Old City In Jericho To remember the story of Joshua from the Bible, and Hisham’s Palace. I advise everyone to book and visit this tour , but it is better to be with a guide in Jericho so that you will not be disappointed. Thanks.

Well organised tour - not to be missed
The whole process of being collected from Tel Aviv, taken via Jerusalem to Bethlehem seemed seemless. Our tour guide Elijah was just full of information and details about history but also current life in Bethlehem. Definitely recommended.

      Highly recommended Bethlehem trip
Excellent trip to Bethlehem. Our tour guide Johnnie was so friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Lots of time to see everything and ask questions. Air conditioned mini bus with professional driver. Ended up at a lovely gift shop for coffee and pastry and no pressure to buy but lots of beautiful gifts. Learnt a lot about the Palestine situation and how it impacts people, Highly recommended.

Great Half Day Private Tour of Bethlehem from Jerusalem with Johnny
We went on the half day private tour of Bethlehem with Johnny ($250 USD total for my husband and I plus tips). Everything was easy to arrange with Elijah Tours online or through WhatsApp and the pickup and drop off all went smoothly. We requested a 9:30 am pickup at our hotel in Jerusalem. Our very nice driver was right outside waiting for us. He told us to bring our passports but when we got to the border crossing our car was just waved right through. We never even had to pull out passports out. When we got to Bethlehem our guide, Johnny, was there waiting for us. It's super important to have an experienced guide who knows how to get you in and out of each site on a schedule so you don't get stuck waiting an hour when they close the church at noon, or waiting when a procession is coming through. He was able to get us right in to the underground cave beneath the Church of the Nativity where it is believed that Jesus was born. If we had not been on this private tour the line would have been at least 2 hours. The sites we visited were Shepherds Field, Church of the Nativity, St Catherine's, St Jerome's Cave and the Milk Grotto. We also stopped at a Banksy mural on the side of an auto repair shop along the road. Johnny shared an incredible amount of knowledge about every site and he delivered it in a moving and thoughtful way. After the tour we ended at a souvenir shop and bought a few olive wood carved hearts and crosses, etc. There's really no pressure to buy anything if you don't want to since your ride back to your hotel is already there waiting for you. We were back at our hotel by around 1:30. We were so glad we went ahead and took this tour. Elijah made it easy and it was a wonderful experience. Johnny is the best!

Elijah Tours was very responsive when I asked for information prior to booking this tour. My main goal was to take the cable car in Jericho to visit the Mount of Temptation monastery, and Elijah Tours delivered on that. That was a great experience! The tour was well organized in the sense that the various drivers necessary were punctual and well coordinated. We were a bit surprised that the Jericho part was not guided (unlike the Bethlehem part where we did have a guide), but we had a nice driver who took good care of us. We took this tour on March 9, 2022, shortly after Israel reopened for tourists, and there were only 6 people on this tour, and only the two of us did the Jericho part, so we were riding around in a private car with just our driver. It was a bit wild, but it worked!

We had a great time on this tour. Ameer was a really cool guide to hang out with and listen to; very knowledgeable and kept the group together and moving very well. His perspectives as a Palestinian Christian were really neat to hear. We brought our 5 year old daughter and she enjoyed it also. Bethlehem was what she wanted to see the most on our vacation, and she loved the Mt. of Temptation a lot too. The tour is all in West Bank sites, but we never felt unsafe in the slightest, and the people there are kind and hospitable. Highly recommend this tour as part of a DIY Israel itinerary to get the harder to access areas.

My husband and I visited the most sacred river in the world - the Jordan River. The Jordan River is very picturesque and it exudes that spirituality from it. It was our dream to perform baptism. We were very happy when we did this ceremony. Wonderful place. First of all, it is a river revered all over the world, and by all Christians. It is mentioned many times in the Bible, Jesus Christ was baptized in it, so all believers should visit this place. We advise everyone to go, this trip will give you a lot of impressions.

The guide Kaderi told interestingly, and at the same time without overloading with figures and facts. The bus was comfortable. The time flew by, it was not tiring. We want to express gratitude to our guide. Kaderi had excellent erudition, tact and subtle sense of humor made our tour rich, dynamic and unforgettable. It was very nice how you know how to present the material in a special way. You drew a parallel between historical facts and information taken from the Old and New Testaments, revealing a deep meaning, and history literally came to life before our eyes. We are glad that you were our guide on this trip! We recommend our guide Kaderi. Thank you very much for an unforgettable tour.

I had an amazing trip with Elijah Tours. The tour guide Elias and Mohammed did their great job on assisting us, giving us needed information and managed the big group very smoothly. They also know how to lighten up the mood. The bus driver Rami was nice and friendly too. I was surprised when they gave us free chicken shawarma, falafel sandwich and free bananas from Jericho. Im impressed! Thank you Elijah tours! I would definitely recommend this trip to my friends!

Interesting tour and nice guides! Elijah and his team were very welcoming and showed us the main points. Because we went to different places we had to jump from one to another really fast and we wish we could stay more time on each stop to see the city and know more about the current situation. Besides that, we saw everything that was planned. The guides offered us delicious typical food and deserts. We hope to return one day to discover more and wish all the best to Palestinian people!

Just a marvelous tour we got to the Church of the Nativity very early before many tours had arrived and our tour guid was wonderful. Then we visited the White Chapel and Shepherd’s Field and had time to look and explore ended Bethlehem with visit to a nice store and lunch. That afternoon saw the river Jordan and people baptized and ended the tour visiting Jericho and touring the ancient city a great perspective on the history of the area. Enjoyed the tour and learned so much.

A very nice day in the Bethlehem and Jericho trip, we thought that the beautiful part would be in Bethlehem, but after that Jericho was beautiful with the guide Kadri excellent information, we felt professional in the treatment and love from this guide, I was accompanied by an Italian family and an American girl inside a comfortable vehicle, We witnessed the Jordan River (the baptism of Christ), Mount Temptation, and the old city in Jericho. Thank you to Elijah Company, and the guide Muhammad Qadi.

We booked with you based on the excellent evaluation of the company in advance. The performance was wonderful in Bethlehem with the guide, and there was a precise explanation and answer from the guide in a precise manner in the Church of the Nativity and the others location. Visiting the antique shop was normal, but in Jericho the matter was different. There was a guide. He is kind and gentle, but he gives superficial information that does not fit with the beautiful monuments and places, and if you ask him, he does not know what to answer, and we are left in side the place alone, such as Hisham’s Palace and the beautiful monastery in Jericho. We have found the difference between Bethlehem and Jericho in the tourist guides. I hope that the company improves this matter so that the trip be complete and beautiful. I hope you understand my comments. Thank you.

We appreciate your feedback and are pleased to hear that you had a positive experience during your tour of Bethlehem. We apologize for any confusion during your visit to Jericho. It's important for our customers to review the tour details when booking, as it is clearly stated that the Jericho tour is self-guided with the driver only. This helps set clear expectations for the tour experience. We will certainly take your comments into consideration to ensure that we continue to provide informative and engaging experiences for all our customers. Thank you for choosing our company, and we hope to serve you again in the future.

Our guide in Bethlehem had a great sense of humor and energy. We waited (standing) about 45 minutes to be able to visit the grotto in the Church of the Nativity (there was a service going on), so I was glad to have a book with me. The afternoon was more disappointing - the Jordan river site was closed (we think for Passover), which we didn't learn until we arrived, and we ended up spending a lot more time than was necessary in Jericho. Our guide felt bad about the Jordan river being closed, so I appreciate that he was trying to give us some extra experience, but I think most of the group would have preferred to return to Jerusalem earlier. Given the opportunity to choose again, I would look for other tour options for these locations. (We also got no sort of follow-up from the tour company after the tour to acknowledge that we'd had to miss the Jordan river.)

Bethlehem, Jericho and the Jordan River are on the West Bank. Bethlehem plays host to the Church of the Nativity, where Jesus is said to be born, it is certainly a marvelous place for Christians to visit. If you have a spark of belief, you will love it. Jericho is an Arab city, it is said to be the most ancient city in the Middle East. The Jordan River is where John the Baptist baptized Jesus, you can only feel a sense of wonder seeing this fabled waterway, which runs through Irael and Jordan.
