About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- debbievO8854AB0 contributionsAmazing experience with actual October 7th Survivor! Our Tour Guide, Amit, was an actual survivor of the October 7th Massacre at Nova Music Festival. He shared his very personal experience with us - he opened his heart to us in order for us to understand the terrible atrocities that occurred on this day, to him and to others, He took us to all the relevant sites involved in October 7th, including Sderot, the Gaza Envelope, the. Car Graveyard and the Nova Music Festival site. We got to actually see Gaza over the hills and could view the rubble there. We saw ambulances, police cars and civilian vehicles burned and riddled with bullets. We stood on the site of the Nova Music Festival. We saw a shelter on a Kibbutz where several people were killed by Terrorists. It was an amazing, emotional, heartbreaking and also heartwarming experience that was made so much more meaningful when given by someone who personally experienced it. Do not miss this tour with Amit. We all need to bear witness to these atrocities. Amit made a “ story” into a reality for us!Written 9 September 2024
- rubyAndraphy0 contributionsA day to Remember and to Relay to OrhersIt was a very memorable day made special by Amit who described his experience so well and made it a memory they will last with us and allowed us to relate to what happened on October 7th so movinglyWritten 2 September 2024
- BlWashingtonDC0 contributionsHeart breaking tour- A MustAmit is an excellent guide. We toured parts of the Gaza envelope that were accessible including the October 7th graveyard, Tsderot and the Nova Festival. This is a gut wrenching experience that is more so since Amit was at Nova and three close friends were murdered. I’m not sure how Amit is able to share such a tragic story with such graceWritten 24 August 2024

Be sure we willAmit you are absolutely amazing so bright and knowledgeable. Thank you for sharing your story with us . Be sure we will continue to tell it and are proud to bare witness . Your insight on everything was very insightful and interesting. Highly recommend!!!!!! - Travel6306300 contributionsCannot recommend highly enoughThank you Amit for sharing your very personal story with us. This incredibly meaningful tour was so sensitively guided. I came to bear witness and I am leaving awed by the resilience of Am Yisrael. We generate life, they destroy life. Am Yisrael Chai. Driver Eyal was also wonderful- chat to him if you can. He has very interesting perspective to share. Highly recommend!Written 22 August 2024
- Road2836460 contributionsEnglish speaking Nova Survivor October 7th GuideAmit is the special combination of three things: 1 A highly intelligent, fragile and honest survivor of the events of October 7th, he was there and tells it through his experiences and escape 2 A tour guide and history expert by profession from many years before October 7th 3 A truly outstanding soul with a deep story and mission that drives him (you'll find out!) If you are travelling to see the Gaza Envelope to understand what happened, pay your respects, witness the unity and resilience and understand the geography.... I highly recommend Amit. He is everything you would want from an impactful, informed English speaking guide. For a large group bus tour or just a small car-load, either way, Amit's tours are first hand historical experience through the eyes and words of a natural tour guide and a reluctant (he'd hate me for saying it) hero.Written 18 August 2024
- shayrips120 contributionsAn Incredible Guide and Meaningful ExperienceAmit was an incredible guide. Both sharing history and his own survivor story, we learned first hand about the terrors and horrors of October 7th and the days that followed. A heartbreaking but important tour that everyone should do so that we never forget those brutally murdered on that fateful day.Written 15 August 2024
- U427YJjaniceg0 contributionsA Powerful Beautiful ExperienceOn this remarkable tour, we had the privilege of seeing important locations connected to October 7th through the eyes of a survivor. He shared his personal story and took us to the places where he was at the time. He was very knowledgeable, clear, and real. He talked about the mental health toll on himself, the members of the communities surrounding Gaza, all of Israel, and the Jewish diaspora. It was a memorable, meaningful and emotional day.Written 13 August 2024
- F4486QOmelissal0 contributionsAmit’s tour of the Gaza envelopeThis tour of the Gaza envelope with Amit was excellent. We started the day with a history lesson of the geo political situation of the region. Then he took us through his story of October 7 and how he escaped the horrors of the day. Amit was strong and courageous and patient. For anyone who wants to bear witness to the atrocities of the day, this trip is for you. I would highly recommend you go with Amit. He’s an incredible person and tour guide.Written 26 July 2024
- amandacN3445CM0 contributionsImportant, touching, & informativeAnyone deliberating if they should do this tour, do it! Amit is a professional tour guide and every tour with him (I’ve taken a few) is informative and fun, you always leave with a piece of Israel in your mind and heart. This one is different, Amit invites you into his family, his friendship circle, his personal story and trauma and allows you to honor the personal and national horror of October 7. He mixes history, humor, and a lot of feeling into a touching and fascinating tour. It’s unusual to get such an insight into something so deeply personal and important. Thank you, Amit. It’s an honor.Written 26 July 2024

Shimon was a great tour guide for our one day tour of Jerusalem --we saw all of the main holy sites of the 3 major religions, walked through the market, got an overview of the history of the city and had a local lunch. The transportation was via a luxury bus. In all a great tour.

Amit led us on an all-day visit to the major sites of Jerusalem, covering quite a bit while not feeling too rushed. The tour plan is a good one though the guide plays a significant part of the experience. Amit was friendly, exceptionally knowledgeable, and able to provide just enough information without feeling like we were at a university lecture. He conversed easily on a broad range of topics, focusing on giving a good understanding of the city's complex history, religious heritage and geopolitical dynamics. We appreciated that the tour picked us up near our hotel and gave us time to enjoy breakfast in the morning before departing. We returned to Tel Aviv by approximately 6:30, a long but thoroughly beneficial day. There is time to get a quick bite for lunch during the day.

Everything from the transportation, timing, explanations, to the route around and through the city was well organized. Amit was careful to give explanations during the drive to Jerusalem as well as at every stop. The historical detail helped contextualize everything we saw. It was also nice to have an unbiased viewpoint of the city and history. Tradition, belief, and history were all clearly delineated.
The route itself helped to understand the city. Being able to see and hear about landmarks from the Mount of Olives prior to going to the old city helped immensely to understand what we would later see.
The path through the city was also carefully planned, ensuring that we could ascend the Temple Mount during the one hour it was open during the day. The historical detail at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre helped to separate the tradition of the location (and other proposed locations) and historical evidence.
Lunch was great with a fantastic view. Such a unique experience to be able to eat there as a family with the city in full view.
Closing the tour with the sun setting on the western wall was very special as well.
We haven’t been on any other Jerusalem tours but I would recommend this tour to anybody I heard was heading to Tel Aviv. Truly a must for anybody traveling there.

Our guide, Avi was exceptional - great knowledge, super flexible and made sure that we were having fun as well.
The bus ride was great, we did cover the history and culture of Jerusalem in brief, and then we toured all of the quarters of the city. We had coffee, local sweets and a great lunch as well. It was great to see how many people he knew and really made you feel like an insider!
We can only recommend Avi and Hallelujah Tours if you are looking for a day trip in Jerusalem.

The Guide was very nice, had a very good English and knew a lot about all the religions and wasn’t biased based on his religion. The group was not too big nor too small (18 people). They take you to the most important places and to a lookout where you can see all Jerusalem.
The main issues (for me) was that the price was a little high for what we recieved. In the van, we where at the back because we where the last to pick up and we couldn’t hear some things from the explanation (I recommend the company to buy a microphone for the guide and earphones for the people so everyone can listen to the explanations clearly, the guide doesn’t have to shout and we don’t bother the other people in the places we stopped). Also, some of the holes where the air conditioner comes out where broken so we couldn’t manage it and was a little bit cold.
The time for buying souvenirs was very small, you had to have lunch and buy the things you wanted in only 45 minutes (small time for such an important place were you want to buy things for family and friends).
Finally, when we arrived to Tel Aviv they dropped me and my mom in a place very near a highway and told us we could grab a taxi there which was IMPOSSBLE, fortunately we have family there and came to pick us up, but it was a little bit irresponsable to leave us there by ourselves.

We picked this small group tour due to its fantastic reviews and a 0900 pick up which means you can enjoy a great Israeli breakfast before heading out. Nadia our guide did a fabulous job all day, including an overview of over 3000 years to put Jerusalem in context. Given the amount of historical sites packed into such a small place there is a lot to take in which Nadia masterfully guided us through.

This was the second group tour I took to Jerusalem and by far the best. The transportation was a very comfortable minivan as opposed to the extra large full sized bus. We were the only tour, thereby no frequent stops to transfer busses or let other tours on/off, which saved a tremendous amount of time for actually seeing the city. All the most important religious sites were seen, including many I had never heard/known about. Wear comfortable shoes and clothing since there is much walking involved. Nadia was a dynamic tour guide- highly knowledgable, enthusiastic, charismatic/friendly and well-balanced for the most part in presenting all the religions in the land. She kept the tour moving, though a little too fast at times. The group pictures that were taken was a bonus, but would have liked to see more Christian backgrounds in the photos. I would recommend this tour to everyone, especially those with a love of history, in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.

I enjoyed this tour and learnt a lot. So much history and they really gave us some great highlights. Our guide Amit was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions with patience. He had heaps of maps, historical pictures to show us along the way too, which added to what he was saying. I was very happy with all the sites that were fit into the tour and the amount of time to see each was nearly spot on. The smaller size is nicer than big tours but sometimes it could be hard to hear in the very busy spots (no audio equipment provided) so good to make sure you get a spot upfront if this could be an issue. I didn't mind the walking but would have liked a little more free time, it was non-stop until about 1pm for lunch so we were definitely starving by then! It is possible we were supposed to have an earlier stop and just ran out of time, but maybe they could suggest we pack snacks in case this occurs. There was a lunch booked for 60 ILS but you didn't have to partake. That said we were only given 45mins for lunch so difficult to predict if that was enough time for many other options. We chose to have the lunch and it was a little hectic. We were told they would refill dishes if we needed but this process was very difficult. All of the dishes I tried were delicious! E.g. Falafel and many vegetable sides with pita, hommus etc. About 10minutes to look at souvenir shops at this point but I think I would have preferred the "shopping time" in the bazaar we walked through later and maybe more than 10mins. Price was about $200 AUD (not including lunch or tips). I didn't do any other tours in Israel so not sure how this compares, but you'll pay a little extra for the smaller group size so take this into consideration when researching. The Temple mount stop requires covering up of the neck, arms, and legs. They provided coverings but bring scarves and wear pants or long skirts if you do not want to wear what is provided. Knees being covered was not enough for women. But it seemed covered hair wasn't as big a concern. Some of this info has nothing to do with this tour company but thought it is useful information. All in all I would recommend this tour for people that are interested in all the history of Jerusalem and don't just need to see the sites quickly, also those that like to have the opportunity to ask questions to along the way - much harder in the big tours.

Wonderful experience with a pretty small batch of folks. Frank was a great guide and the tour fit in a lot of things to do in one day. From the reservation process to the transport provided everything is professional, clearly communicated and seamless. Jerusalem is quite a lot on the senses and having a structured path from the Mt of Olives to the Holy Sepulchre and the Wailing Wall with visits to a local restaurant and coffee shop thrown in and Frank's detailed explanation of the history of the place made it an engaging day. Would absolutely recommend it to anyone who wants to get to experience Jersualem and is crunched short on time.

what language is the tour ?
how long in advance YOU inform of cancelation due to lack of enough registration ?
Written 8 May 2022
The tour was in English. You can cancel up to 24 hours before the tour. I think it is the same time frame of the tour is cancelled due to insufficient people (although I can’t confirm as my tour was well over the minimum number of people).

Hi , any chance you have availability for one adult on May 16th?
Written 3 May 2022
I agree with one of the previous answers - way too much walking. And some steep streets and stairs. There is no way a 6 year old would find this tour engaging or interesting. I honestly wouldn't recommend it for anyone who is not at least 15 years old and has an interest in historical and cultural sights.
