Tour was cancelled, agreed to refund tour cost, now there's no refund and no contact.
This was the tour that wasn't. Booked this as a follow-on to an Israel trip, then October 2023 happened. Israel tour was cancelled, Abraham Tours was cancelled...not a problem, should get a refund. NOPE!!!! Numerous e-mails back and forth, they said they would issue a refund, it has not happened and now they don't reply to anything. Are they still in business? Are they just keeping the money? Better think 2x or 3x before giving them your money. If they're having problems, the professional thing would be to reply to their clients.

Rocky desert has numerous ancient sites
Journey across the rocky Judean Desert from Jerusalem. Apart from an adventure, you will see the cave where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered by a Bedouin shepherd boy. Apart from the numerous caves, there are many ancient monastic ruins dating back to the early Christian period.

      Excellent tour and well informed
Eliyahu was a fantastic tour guide and answered all questions I had. It was a unique experience and I will be forever grateful I had the opportunity to visit such an important part of the world. The tour was eye-opening to the reality of the Israel-Palestine conflict and definitely gave me a well informed view of the realities of the situation. A special thank you to the woman in Netiv HaAsara who welcomed us into her home and gave us her experience of living on the border.

Multiple Tours - Professionally conducted - Highly recommend!
Was part of multiple day tours with them starting with the Jaffa walking tour, Mount of Olives Tour, Holy City Tour, Gaza Reality Tour, Hebron Dual Narrative Tour, Best of West Bank Tour & Masada, Ein Gedi & Dead Sea - Sunrise Tour ... all from Jerusalem. Few more were planned, but, unfortunately, were cancelled in wake of the current scenario. They promptly refunded the amount for the cancelled tours! All tours were professionally conducted & they have great tour guides. Special mention of Shakhav (hope am spelling the name right) & Eliyahu McLean (passionate & insightful tours of Gaza & Hebron). Would love to cover the balance itinerary with them albeit at a more peaceful time. Lovely, helpful team. Wishing them courage & safety in the current times!

      Amazing tour
I cannot describe how valuable the tour has been for grabbing a better understanding of the region, especially in light of current events. Eliyahu was an excellent guide. It was really interesting visiting the border and hearing about it’s history.

      Not balanced - guide dismissive
I have to agree with Diana H a bit further down. Though advertised as a "dual narrative" tour, it is that perhaps only in name. The first half of the day is with a Palestinian tour guide, the second half with the Israeli. Eli - the Israeli guide - is also in the car supposedly explaining the context on the drive over. In short - Eli spent the second half of the tour essentially discrediting everything Marwa, our wonderful Palestinian guide, had explained. He was condescending and dismissive, sometimes even smirking at comments other people on the tour mentioned she had said. He would mention crimes against settlers but gave absoloutely zero context - if we asked for details, he said we didn't have time. For example, we walked down a street that used to be a bustling shopping street with thriving Palestinian business but is now inaccessible to Palestinians AT ALL. The Israeli military shut it down. Eli's explanation was that there was too much violence - I was absoloutely stunned that our supposed guide would just state this as fact, with no context or explanation. No mention of Palestinian history, no mention of al-Nakba, no mention of the active violence of Palestinians that happens every single day. No mention of that fact that these settlements - and many towns across the land - are former homes of Palestinian families who were kicked out or built on flattened villages. If you actually want to learn about the settlements in Hebron/Al Khalil, I recommend Dena Takruri's documentary on YouTube. If you want to visit al Khalil, don't use this tour. Contact Marwa - the Palestinian guide - or other local companies. This tour is not 'balanced' or even halfway truthful at all. I'm stunned to know Eli also gives tours of the Gaza border and the history of 1948, I can't imagine the lies he spews there. My heart goes out to the Palestinian people, and especially those living in Al Khalil which is often referred to as the most occupied city in the West Bank. On a positive note, Marwa - our Palestinian guide - was wonderful. I was impressed in her ability to do this tour in her second language, and I can't imagine how emotionally draining it is for her to have to recount trauma again and again. The food we had at the Palestinian family's home was delicious, and I hold tight the souvenirs I bought from the women's co-op.

Trip was what the advert says however other groups will meet up for transport and if one groups is late they will make the other tours wait for them to arrive. We waited in a stationary bus for an hour just so the business could save some money. I did this tour once before with another tour company and that was a much better experience. I recommend using someone else

      Wadi Rum and Petra Tour
Wow what an incredible experience! We joined a group of 13 other travels and we had the BEST time! Meeting new friends and seeing some amazing places! Pick up was smooth and instructions for crossing the border were given to us. We crossed easily and were picked up by our Jordan guide! Zee-en (not sure of spelling) took AMAZING care of us! He made sure we saw all the highlights and told us all the facts/history! Everything was amazing! Wadi Rum was so fun! Riding in the back of trucks through the dessert and taking a camel ride! When we finally made it to our camp it was already dark and we headed straight to dinner…which was delicious! We had paid extra for the bubble tent and wished we had arrived earlier in the day to enjoy it more because we got in late and left early in the morning. The bubble was VERY nice though! Nice shower and very comfortable bed. The breakfast was also delicious! HIGHLY recommend doing this tour!!!

We did the free Old City walking tour. Our guide was excellent. At the end of the tour she gave us suggestions on where to eat and places to go. The tour is a good starting point.

Jordan and Petra exceeded our expectations
Excellent Tour. Our guide and bus driver were great. Abrahams gave us full details of what to expect at the Allenby Boarder. Our guide was informative and answered many of our questions about Jordan in general. It was a young group (excluding ourselves) and we loved it. We had a full day in Petra from 8:00-18:30 with an option to do Petra by night, which some of the group did. I would highly recommend this tour. It worked well to travel into Jordan with Yom Kippur happening in Israel. Food and accommodation were excellent with everything covered in the price.

Amazing amazing amazing! This was our second tour with Abraham tours, and I can honestly say they really exceeded my expectations ! This to Jordan was absolutely amazing!

We met at the Abraham Hostel then boarded a comfortable bus to the boarder. At the boarded you Pat your visa fees. It took like 30-45 mins for our whole group to get through, but it was actually easy! Then we boarded another bus on the Jordan side where we met our great tour guide Abdullah. Very knowledgeable guide! We headed to the city whew we visited a church in Madaba where we saw the oldest map of the this Middle Eastern region. So cool!

Then we headed to Mount Nebo where Moises showed the Israelites the promise land (at the distance). Such and special place with beautiful mosaic displays of ancient art!

After Nebo we head to eat lunch at a restaurant right around the corner from Mount Nebo, and oh my gosh! That was one of the best meals! Then we headed to see a Crusaders castle on the top of a hill and it was very impressive. Then we headed to Petra! There we stayed in a Bedouin camp. It was clean, comfortable, friendly staff, and great food!

Even tho our tour did not include Petra by night originally, our tour guide gave us the option to go see Petra by night for a small fee. We couldn’t pass that one in a life time opportunity!

Abraham tours are very organized and have excellent guides! Our driver was also great and very friendly!

The issue began once we crossed from the Jordanian border to the Tel Aviv border. The bus was delayed for several hours at the Israeli border to take us back to Jerusalem and then Tel Aviv, due to another tour that was supposed to join us. We were delayed without any information or time estimate on when we would depart to Jerusalem and then back to Tel Aviv. We waited for hours on a hot bus, sitting in the parking lot, with no information from the other tour group, from Abraham tours itself, or from the driver. When we tried to contact Abraham Tours about the best next option, we were unable to get ahold of anyone via telephone or Whats App due to it being outside of business hours. For a tour company that operates round the clock, this is unacceptable in terms of customer service.

We had been awake since 5:30am and were eager to get back to Tel Aviv as we had an early flight home to Canada the very next day. My husband had been ill for two days, during the entirety of our tour, and was completely exhausted. We could not get ahold of anyone with the company to understand what our best next step was. With another four people from the tour, we finally hired a taxi, since there were no public buses due to it being a holiday, to take us to Tel Aviv to get to our hotel. We could not get a receipt from the driver of the taxi and since it was a shared taxi we pooled money and paid as a group. At the moment, per my correspondence with the company over WhatsApp, Abraham Tours refuses to reimburse us this expense. While we enjoyed the tour overall, this final experience left us with such a negative impression that we would not recommend Abraham Tours in the future in good faith.

I would expect that a reasonable, professional tour company would understand these extenuating circumstances and reimburse us this expense as a goodwill gesture and to provide good customer service.

Petra took our breath away. Petra was my sister and my bucket list destination. Yes, we were a fairly big group of 37 but our Jordanian guide and driver made it so easy for us. Abdallah, our guide was efficient, friendly, knowledgeable and really took the time to explain facts and unknown tidbits, you will be lucky to have him as your guide to Petra. Jamal our driver was kind and kept us safe, my sister who is prone to motion sickness during rides did not experience any of that because Jamal made sure that our bus ride was smooth.
Both Jamal and Abdullah took care of our big group.
I highly recommend this tour organization and specially our Jordanian guide and driver. They made us feel comfortable and well cared for.

The guide Mahdi was excellent. However, Abraham hostel tours did not mange it well. First, I wanted to spend at least part of each of 2 days in Petra. On the first day I visited sites I was not interested in, with only 1 day in Petra. Second, I was told specifically (I asked) that a bathroom with shower would be available adjacent to the tent I was staying in. It was not and I was not told that this option was available for additional money. Third although Mahdi was excellent, during the 6.5 hours in Petra, he was with us for less than half the time, telling us that for the remainder of the time we were on our own. The reason I signed up for a tour was to have a guide with me during the entire time at the Petra site so that relevant things could be explained to me. The limitation on the tour guide's presence was not revealed to me when I signed up.

Border crossing was a breeze, I was very apprehensive traveling into Jordan, but it was super fast.
At all time our guide and the bus driver were directing us in the right direction. I never felt alone or unprotected.
Petra archeological site is amazing, while the "treasury" is movie famous is only one building in a huge city. We walk close to 10 miles and we couldn't see it all. We went over the mountain to get to the Treasury overlook and that trail took to much time, instead of looking twice at the same building go to the Monastery or tray ti visit more.
    If you can stay longer.

Really enjoyed this tour - highlight for me was the Jordanian tour guide, Mahdi, who was really informative and had a great sense of humour. The coach driver was also really welcoming. Petra is breathtaking and getting there early was well worth it to miss the crowds

Must visit Petra if you visit Israel and Abraham tours is a great way to experience Petra and visit some of top sites of Jordan including Mount Nebo, (which is mentioned in the Bible as the place where Moses was granted a view of the Promised Land before his death), and Madaba ( known as City of Mosaics). The highlight was a visit to the ancient city of Petra which is one of the Modern Wonders of the World. The tour was very well organised, both in Israel and Jordan end. All meals were taken care of, we driven every where by luxury bus ( with wifi on board) and stay in Petra was in luxury tents .

Lovely tour, our guide was very friendly and we had the opportunity to explore petra by ourselves. We got to stay in the desert, we went in march and it was freezing in our cabins but there was a lot of blankets in the bed. I had one of the best meals ever in the bedouin camp.

one thing that I was sad about was not having time to visit amman as described in the itinerary and on the border to get our visa was a bit confusing/took extra time.
A bit expensive but I would recommend (this was before pandemic hit hard)

What an amazing experience this trip was! I have been wanting to do this for a while and a work trip to Jerusalem gave me that kick to finally do it. Me being a planner (both professionally and as part of my OCD-ness) researched a lot of tour companies and Abraham Tours received overwhelming positive feedback. Everything was very thoughtfully planned, from pick-up time and what to expect through the border crossing, to sleeping accommodations, dining, etc. Our tour guide while in Jordan, Yazan, was fantastic. He was so knowledgeable and was very patient with our group and the hundreds of questions that were asked. During the tours he gave us plenty of time to explore on our own, which was greatly appreciated. From a scale of 1 to 10, the trip itself was a 10, but Yazan made it a 15! Would definitely recommend Abraham Tours, and thank you, Yazan, for sharing your amazing country with us!

From the Israel side I would rate this 2 stars. From the Jordanian side I’d rate this 5 stars. Luckily we’re in Jordan most of the time! In Israel we were left at the border with minimal instruction and we had to figure it out on our own. Here are instructions for future travelers with this tour group!

Once you arrive at the border to go from Israel to Jordan, you will enter the offices they instruct you to go into. From there there are two lines: the one to the right is for Israeli citizens only, and the one to the left is where you go to pay your Israeli exit fee and also exchange currency to Jordanian Dinar (I suggest NOT to exchange here since there will be another opportunity to exchange from the Jordan side; for example the exchange rate here would get you 88% whereas the exchange rate on the Jordan side will give you 96% so it’s your call; the tour guide pays the fees first to the Jordanian government and then he collects the fees on the bus from the travelers after you guys have started the tour). After you pay your fee with credit card or cash, make a 180 and you will see two machines just like the ones you saw arriving at the Tel Aviv airport. Scan your passport face down and you will receive a border ticket. With the receipt from the border exit fee, border ticket from the passport machine and your actual passport you can proceed to the guy at the kiosk that verifies your documents. From there you are done!

Now comes the actual tour part. Absolutely no complaints. The tour guide was amazing, food was all buffet style and also amazing, Petra was amazing, and the two extra stops were amazing too. The Bedouin style hotel was incredible and a unique experience. You get more buffet dinner and breakfast and then lounge in a big hall where they play live music and serve hot (very) sweet tea. Return to the Jordanian border was seamless.

The return back to the Israeli side was actually surprisingly quick. All of our tour group made it back across quickly without any hitches. We arrive to find no bus waiting for us. We called and they said the bus was already there. Then we searched all across the compound and the bus was not there. We would call again and no answer. The bus arrived maybe 30-45 minutes later. Some proper communication on the Israeli side would’ve been nice!
