Small-Group Mekong Delta Day Trip from Ho Chi Minh City

Overview
The Mekong Delta is a must-visit from Ho Chi Minh, but deciding what to see can be daunting. This small-group tour wraps the essential delta experiences into a day to ensure you cover the highlights. Visit brick-making and coconut candy workshops, cruise canals by sampan, ride a bike and cart around villages and fields, and learn about local lifestyles from a guide. Lunch, transport, and delta tours are all included.
What to Expect
Leave your central Ho Chi Minh hotel by air-conditioned minivan and venture south along highways and across the Rach Mieu suspension bridge to Ben Tre province in the Mekong Delta.

After a roughly 2-hour journey, arrive at Ben Tre’s mosaic of islands and tributaries, and take a boat to a string of traditional Mekong workplaces. See workers turning out clay bricks at a brick kiln, tour a coconut candy workshop, and view artisans making mats at a weaving house.

Get glimpses of local life on a stroll around a typical village, ride a xe-loi (motorized rickshaw), and savor a Vietnamese lunch at a picturesque riverside restaurant.

Afterward, enjoy a bicycle ride around local fields before boarding a hand-rowed sampan (small boat) to cruise tranquil canals past hamlets, bridges, and rice paddies. Then, travel back to Ho Chi Minh where a hotel drop-off concludes your experience.
