Small-Group Mekong Delta Experience by Speedboat
From US$112,00
Overview
Explore the Mekong Delta on a speedboat tour from Ho Chi Minh City, following the Saigon River into a network of canals. Stop to visit villages, a Cao Dai temple, and more, including a chef-prepared lunch at a pagoda. Traveling by speedboat means you can visit the Mekong Delta directly from Ho Chi Minh City, trading a long bus trip for more time on the water.
What to Expect
Meet a guide at your Ho Chi Minh City hotel for transfer to the central pier, then enjoy a light breakfast as your speedboat sets out along the Saigon River.

Learn about the history and ecology of the Mekong Delta while navigating a network of canals and channels, and step off the boat at Tuong Van Pagoda for a walking tour. Return to the speedboat and continue downriver to a colorful market, then slip beneath a tropical canopy as you reach smaller and smaller tributaries.

Board a rowboat for a canal trip to a Mekong Delta village, with the option to taste fresh coconut, Mekong whiskey, and locally made wine. A traditional lunch will be served at a nearby pagoda before the tour continues to a Cao Dai temple and a Buddhist orphanage, the final stops of the day. Enjoy the afternoon light on the water during the return trip to Ho Chi Minh City, where a guide will transfer you to your hotel.
