Halong Bay Day Cruise from Hanoi

Even if you only have a day or two in Hanoi, there’s still time to visit Halong Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, on this efficient day trip. Traveling on a traditional junk, visit a fishing village, savor an authentic seafood lunch, and tour the wonderland that is Dong Thien Cung cave. If you like, you can choose to paddle a kayak or ride a bamboo boat.

What to Expect

Your guide collects you from your hotel or home stay in the morning for the drive to Halong Bay—expect a break to stretch your legs midway. On arrival, receive a welcome drink, listen to the short safety briefing, and tuck in to a traditional Vietnamese seafood lunch.

Over the course of your junk boat cruise, visit a fishing village and Dong Thien Cung cave, and have the option to enjoy a short trip by kayak or bamboo boat. After savoring the surreal karst landscapes of the UNESCO-listed bay, it’s time to head back to Hanoi, where your climate-controlled vehicle drops you back at your hotel.

Good Service

We chose the Wonder Bay Cruise cause of the luxury van which was comfortable, had reclining chairs, and charging outlet. The ship was nice, well kept, and looked new. We were offered a good hearty lunch, water, and tea with coconut cakes.
