Halong Bay is one of Vietnam’s most famous natural wonders and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This tour takes in the highlights on a day trip from Hanoi and is ideal for those short on time. Travel through the Red River Delta, cruise around Thien Cung Cave and Dau Go Cave on a traditional junk boat, enjoy a kayaking or bamboo boat excursion, and dine on a seafood lunch on board.
What to Expect
After an early-morning pickup from your Hanoi hotel, admire the Red River Delta scenery on the approximately 4-hour drive to Halong Bay.

Then, board your boat—a traditional wooden junk—in Halong Bay. Keep your camera on hand as you set sail across the bay for endless photo opportunities.

Listen as your guide points out notable landmarks, all with unique names, such as Fighting Cocks Island, Finger Island, Duck Island, and Incense Burner Island, and glide through Thien Cung Cave (Heavenly Palace Grotto), filled with majestic stalactites and stalagmites.

Transfer to a small bamboo boat or sea kayak to get a closer look at the caves and islands, and enjoy about 45 minutes of paddling around one of the bay’s most scenic spots. Then, sail back to the wharf, where your driver will be ready to take you back to Hanoi.

Your tour ends with drop-off at your Hanoi hotel.

Amazing Full Day Ha Long Bay Tour!!

Our tour was just awesome. Even if the nearly four hours drive to Halong Bay where some kind of exhausting, it was absolutely worth it. Our tour guide "Hero" was funny and friendly, dinner on the "White Tiger" Ship was excellent and the drive with...More

Of course it is possible though personally I would not stay in Halong bay per se but rather stay at Cat Ba. Halong Bay city is overwhelmed with Chinese bus tours whereas Cat Ba is a big island with much to see and less... More
