Over 3 years in the making, the River Carnival show boasts a cast of over 150 actors and 150 crew members. Enormous costumes reaching 8 meters tall compliment the record-breaking sizes of some of the largest procession barges and gigantic flying creatures ever assembled. Aerial ballet, exotic carnival dancers, animatronics, and dazzling special effects all take place on 1 of the largest stages ever constructed. With a performance space extending to over 70 meters wide, the River Carnival Show is built to dazzle and amaze with the most spectacular display of regal pageantry and carnival revelry.
Following the evening's performance, the Prince opens up his Palace grounds to allow his guests to wander through a secret garden forest and discover the many enchantments and special treasures to be found within. All staff were friendly and fast. Food average and not hot, but a hot buffet for a large number of guests is a challenge. The band played a mix of pop tunes but very loud and not very well. This took away the expected dinner cruise ambiance as talking to each other was not possible. We wanted a dinner cruise with light music in order to enjoy the views and evening.Written 4 October 2024
- Gerald S0 contributionsHistorical and sad reminder of WW2This was my second trip at Mueang Kanchanaburi since Anzac Day in 2023 walking over the Bridge On River Kwai was Historical emotional walk reflecting on the hardship of the POW In World War II that these poor souls were forced to build, reflecting on brutal conditions from the Japanese imperial army . Currently restoring work replacing the sleepers with numbers and the metal work refurnished with-out being closed. The old timber bridge construction that was used for people and road goods about Hundred metres upstream was never replaced .Written 4 October 2024

Visited the cemetery (which could have been a bit longer ) the Jeath museum and then a long tail boat ride to the bridge . Spent some time at the bridge and markets ,met an Expat S.A Aussie ,retired and living in Thailand working as a Tourist policeman very Friendly and helpful. Took the train ride to Kanchanaburi Had a great lunch and walked the tracks and visited the cave which was used to house the prisoners and now is home to a Buddhist Shrine. We would like to return for a Anzac Service one day. Highly recommend the tripWritten 3 October 2024

- derrickawcw0 contributionsOne hour plus of NONSTOP audiovisual entertainment leaves you breathless and wanting more!Compared to the show when I last watched twenty years ago, they have greatly improved on the lighting, props (including the large electronic backdrop), thematic dances. Expectedly over so many years, they have done away with the very old classics and now using mainstream pop from Madonna to Gaga. As usual they have Asian country and certain western specific performances - I must admire their eclectic choice of the music that represents the countries: well done!! Choreography was superb as well, with a few acts blending old and new. Class act. Since they have updated significantly on their acts, I think can watch again say every five to six years. My only complaint was that the drinks were TINY but the price was not. I ordered a martini and only had 3 sips. It was smaller than the distance between two open fingers and not even full. There are lots of restaurants to have a pre-show meal (we went to Thai X Thai, which was ok) Finding the theater was easy The show was a bit more than an hour long; and reasonably good fun. The theatre is not the usual seating, but has tables with seating for two, facing the stage. All very good, and great lighting The show itself was quite ok. There's no live singing, but lip-syncing. Most of the songs were in English, there was a segment in another language; which was very interesting ! After the show, one could get pictures with the performers (at a reasonable price) Worth a visit if you have a spare evening in Bangkok, and would rather not go to a dive in Patpong or Soi Cowboy !!Written 19 September 2024

We visited on a Wednesday night in January - I have to say the theming and immersive element were world class! The buffet was also very good.
I felt what let down the place was the show, not the show so much but the organisation. Firstly our phones were locked away during show - I happily obliged but then in the show several people around us had their phones out and were filming. I didn’t appreciate being told to lock my phone away if the majority of people didn’t. It felt unfair.
The second thing was there were so many children running around during the show which was not only distracting but also dangerous. It’ll be just a matter of time before someone falls down the stairs or goes over the railings.
The third thing was there were so many people up and down in their seats, again very distracting.
All in all, we enjoyed it but the evening was slightly spoiled but the show points I’ve made.

We are extremely sorry to hear about the show. All guests must lock their phone as they ban recording and we have advised carnival magic to also keep an eye on the audience in the future. For the children and people in their seats, we can not control this and they will look in a way how to combat this. However I believe this was an isolated experience,

We didn’t realise this was a children’s event and we paid a lot of money thinking it was a carnival type of event.
However upon arriving we quickly realised that this was not what we hoped for and asked for a refund and we were refused so we then asked if we could give the tickets to someone else who had children and we were told no there’s nothing we can do which is absolutely ridiculous.
The events seems very nice but unless you have children don’t bother and if you do be prepared to spend a fortune and the food buffet is not very good.

Thanks for your review but it does not mention this is a children's park anywhere on the website, this is for all ages.
You entered the park, had the buffet and then you wanted a refund which as you realise is not acceptable. Who would we or you sell the tickets to if you were already in the park and the people inside the park had already purchased a ticket?
They also have 2 shows and one is a carnival as well in the streets which maybe you missed

My family was attracted to colours of the park. Bought tickets thought rather expensive but when we went in, really amazing! Ticket price become very cheap because what we see is worth it! The shopping street so so joyful. Colors everywhere! We took many pictures and play many games! Kids love them, not enough time must go eat dinner. Restaurant also so beautiful! Food very good! Then the show! Very big props! Last is the light park. Took the golf cart service because kids tired. But very beautiful. A must go in phuket!

This is a brand new theme park, next to the fantasia park. This was a great night! The food at the theatre was excellent and had may dishes to choose from. As we left the food area, we went to see the show which was so much fun. Walking to the theatre you can see many street performers. The show and theatre were magnificent. Dont forget to see the lights after the show.

Recent park next to Fantasea. The concept is the same, but more developed and above all original. The street parade creates a good atmosphere where many tourists participate. The theater where the show takes place in the form of a parade is extremely impressive. The huge LED screen gives the impression that the entire theater is moving. The floats are huge and well decorated. Having seen many shows around the world, this one is worthy of Las Vegas or Macau. Then walk through an outdoor circuit of illuminations. Some will find this too kitsch, but it is a Thai vision to be taken in context. Bonus: visiting the toilet.😁

Carnival Magic was great, a really fun experience for both kids and adults. I would recommend reaching there by 5pm when it opens so you have enough time to see everything. Theres a really nice soft play area for kids on the 1st floor. Also, don't miss the washrooms they're a real treat to visit!

Our experience as a couple wasn’t the best! The lighting and the effort gone into making the place look attractive is appreciated however the pricing of the tickets is very expensive for what the place is. We went based on reviews that the excursion isn’t only for children however we disagree. This was definitely designed for a much younger audience and was underwhelming as most of the rides were children only too.
The show would have been better if there was some dialogue involved to tell the story instead of purely light/costume based.
Staff are very helpful and polite and there are many places to grab ice cream or water.
If you’re interested in something very visual based, you may be happy with it but we were underwhelmed by the experience considering the money we paid.

Dinner is disgusting, edible, but not tasty.
The show itself is a senselessly expensive show that was relevant... 2-3 years ago, but in the current time of digital technology it is a thing of the past and has lost all entertainment value.
The light show after the show is definitely impressive.
Conclusion - for such a ticket price of 2,500 baht per adult - there is no point in attending such an event.

We sincerely apologize for the disappointment you experienced during your visit to the Carnival Magic Theme Park in Thailand. Your feedback is invaluable to us, and we genuinely regret that we fell short of meeting your expectations.
However we disagree that the food is disgusting as this is one of the largest buffets with over 50 stations!!
For the price, we also sell tickets only without transfer or dinner so prices are cheaper and accommodate all budgets.

Great fun place to spend ur time . Specially the buffet spread was huge with lots of options . The toilets were beautifully designed never seen such toilets . The parade was fun and lovely. The lights show was great . Had a great time
