Private Tour: Floating Markets of Damnoen Saduak Cruise Day Trip from Bangkok
US$43,11
Overview
Explore the floating markets of Damnoen Saduak with your own private guide to experience a traditional market where business is conducted on the water. Travel by car from Bangkok with your guide to the riverside and then transfer to a longtail speedboat that takes you to the floating market. Once there, choose the option to book a local boat (own expense) that takes you into the bustle of vendor boats.
What to Expect
Start early with morning pickup from centrally located Bangkok hotels by a private air-conditioned vehicle.

Travel with your private guide southwest for about 64 miles (103 kilometers), passing through the rural countryside on your way to the waterways that lead to Damnoen Saduak floating market.

Transfer to a longtail speedboat for a ride through marshes lined with traditional houses on stilts. Listen to your guide’s commentary about the traditions and history of the region along the way.

Upon arrival at the market, you can walk around on the banks to observe the action, or get a closer look by hiring a local boat (additional expense) to take you through the throngs of vendor canoes. See narrow boats that are piled with fresh produce, household goods, and tourist souvenirs.

Your tour ends with return transport to Bangkok.

Fantastic Customer Service

I am giving this a 5/5 simply because of the customer service. First off, you aren't just going to the floating markets. On the way to the floating market you stop by a coconut farm and then go to a longtail boat and then the...More

Floating market must see but overrated

Visited the Floating Markets as it’s a must do activity in Bangkok. The tour guide was initially helpful and had information. However, there is a stop at an orchid farm which is more of a ploy to get tourist money than anything. Yes the long...More

Sorry that you did not completely see the Damern Saduak floating market. Although it has been in operation for many, many years and is still a ‘genuine’ market, it is very much a place to give the visitor a feeling, or an insight, into the...More

Overcrowded tourist spot

The concept of floating market is a novelty worth seeing. However it seems to have degenerated into selling of mass produced goods at a higher price than the city markets like Chatuchak. Authorities have tried to keep some originality by plying their boats with fruits,...More
