About the operator

- lukwagor20240 contributionsJust Perfect! As a ardent coffee drinker, a colleague recommended that I check this place out. And I must say, it never disappointed. Got to learn about the coffee value chain, the work that goes into ensuring quality to the tasting part. I really sucked at differentiating fragrance and smell amongst the various types of coffee.. But that's just me... You will totally love it here .Written 1 September 2024
- Road5657100 contributionsHighly recommend if you like coffee! This was an absolutely fantastic experience! If you like coffee and want to taste and learn more about it, I would definitely recommend. Patrice was a wonderful guide and was extremely welcoming.Written 19 July 2024

- Q6391MJwilliamf0 contributionsGreat classA very valuable 2 hour class that covered the whole coffee process from growing to drinking and gave you all the things that created a unique flavorWritten 21 May 2024
- StevenPetroff0 contributionsExceeds expectationsThis maseterclass was fantastic! Better than I expected. I should clarify, that this is not a good choice for someone who wants to see a farm or the actual process. This is a classroom setting learning the ins and outs about history, flavor derivation (region, roasting, processing, etc.) The word I have used over and over with my friends is, "Fascinating!". For my class, the instructor and I compared four different beans, their scent and aroma and the many aspects of flavor. So informative!Written 27 March 2024
- judithn6290 contributionsEverything you never knew about coffeeVery informative. Great instructor. Learned that I have not been a very discerning coffee drinker! Would do this class again just to hone my skills.Written 25 February 2024
- scottfG1753VS0 contributionsExcellent Caffeinated Experience! The specialty coffee masterclass provides students with knowledge to identify and appreciate the nuances in coffee grown in different regions. The class is also an excellent way to learn about the history, cultivation, production and culture of coffee in Rwanda. Our teacher, Kevine, was a knowledgeable and excellent teacher who made the experience fun!Written 14 February 2024

- 730lolat0 contributionsInteresting and informative coffee classThis was one of the most-interesting things that I did in Kigali. My guide, Patrice (Patty), taught us so many interesting things about coffee. She even picked coffee cherries from a tree outside of the coffee shop and showed us the beans inside. We learned about the whole coffee process, from start to finish. I never realised how much human labor goes into producing the coffee that I drink every day! I also enjoyed the coffee tasting and loved that we each got some ground coffee (or coffee beans) to take home with us. Highly recommended for anyone with a few days in Kigali.Written 26 August 2023
- Jana D0 contributionsPerfect, dedinitelly recomend.Very entertaining and interesting experience. Focusing on facts as well as the senses - flavours and tastes of coffee.Written 18 August 2023

I went on the farm tour with one of my girlfriends and fell in love. We left Kigali early in the morning and spent about 2 hours in the car talking about coffee with our guide. They had a lot of interesting facts about coffee and were open to our random questions about any other topic.
When we arrived to the farm we were greeted by an unforgettable dance and song from the farmers. They took us through all the steps and preparations on the coffee farm before having us roast, grind and taste our own coffee.
From there the guides took us to lunch and shopping at a nearby women's centre and continued to answer all of our questions about life on the farm. Coffee will never be the same again!

Signing up for this trip I wasn't sure what to expect. After all, 8 hrs is a lot of time, a whole day activity. Well, suffice it to say - it was a wonderful. My guides Tessy and Gisele met me at Question Coffee in Kigali. After a complementary coffee, I joined them and our driver on trek that would take me to visit not just a farm where coffee is grown, but also a coffee washing station where beans are washed and processed for shipment.
At the farm and processing station I was greeted by the staff, primarily all women, who explained the entirely natural process they use to grow coffee in their collective. I learned a lot, and suffice it to say, appreciate that behind each bean is a lot of care and attention. Now, more than ever I'll make sure to purchase coffee that is as ethically grown and processed as I witnessed in Rwanda.
Suffice it to say, a very memorable experience that I highly recommend to coffee lovers who visit Kigali and/or Rwanda.

The tour is one of a kind! It’s the only one to do if you appreciate good coffee. To understand what goes into a simple cup at home through this tour is awe-inspiring. The women led experience is top notch with tour guides that make it fun and engaging.

We had this amazing opportunity to visit with the woman's cooperative known locally as TUK. We were received by the women with a procession of song and dance, in essence thanking us for visiting.
At the farm they explained every step in the cultivation process. It goes a long way in understanding the difficulty they face to grow such an amazing crop, but they do so with joy, care and professionalism, never letting themselves get down with how difficult it can get.
From there we moved to their washing station, and even though this year's crop had already been processed, they once again went through it step by step, in as much detail as we wanted. They roasted some coffee for us and we were able to go through a cupping to sample their amazing product. The lab was simple, yet complete and efficient, this allowing another professional grade experience.
Before we left, they once again broke out in song and dance to thank us for visiting. This is a truly humbling experience and one I will never forget. I recommend to anyone as they have the ability to engage at all experience levels and make it a fun yet knowledge rich experience.
Our personal tour guide was extremely knowledgeable, engaging, taught us much more beyond just coffee, explained to us about the people, their culture, their way of life and made the trip a true life experience to always look back on fondly.
