    The best intro to Namibia
Couldn’t have been better! What an intro to this amazing country and has ensured that I’ll be back. I was lucky enough to have two different guides over the trip (due to legs of the trips being joined) but while it’s hard to leave the friends you’ve just made, you’re sure to make new ones on the next section. Tinashe was my first guide for Etosha to Swakopmund and he is PASSIONATE and proud. What a knowledgeable man who could answer any question, but also make up hilarious answers to see if he could make us laugh only to tell you he was joking. He drove, pointed out every animal imaginable, cooked for us at night, and laughed along with a bunch of hilarious and loud girls. Then I moved to the second leg with beautiful soul Taime and our wonderful driver Michael who was placid, kind, helpful and had the warmest smile. Travelling with Taime was just like travelling with your long time friend. We were so comfortable and she made sure our little group got on so well. She was flexible and made sure we were had choices for our day. As a photographer, she was so patient with me for the activities I probably dragged out longer than anyone ever has! She’s so knowledgeable about her country and passionate about sharing it with the world, but overall Taime is a great new friend! Can’t wait to come back to Namibia - thank you so much Chameleon!

Absolutely amazing tour of this gorgeous country
Absolutely amazing tour! Truly made a great group of friends from the trip. The views were amazing! I loved the first night in Etoshe camp for the watering hole within walking distance. We went three times and saw TONS of elephants, several black rhinos, hyenas, and more! The dune hike was also a favorite with surreal pictures at Sossusvlei.😍 Fair warning that it is a lot of driving and "African massage" on bumpy dirt roads, but it was totally worth it. Plus, it gave me naptime from the early mornings to get the most out of each day. Tinashe was a fantastic guide. He is incredibly knowledgeable and made the whole trip enjoyable. He made sure to make sure everyone was comfortable and on the same page without being overbearing. I'm grateful we got to hang out with him for the week!

    Great week intro to Namibia
I had an amazing tour with Tinashe. Great locations were picked for the various hotels. Etosha Village inside the park was my favorite because of the amazing waterhole where we saw so many elephants hanging out . Tinashe was such a great guide . He was so knowledgeable about history, wildlife , and geology. He also was a great cook for all our meals . I’m pescatarian and he made it very easy throughout our trip which I really appreciated. If you only have like a week but want to see all the major highlights of Namibia, this is a great option .

    Flexible and fun!
I had a great time with guide Josef on the trip. We saw everything that was promised while he left for us to decide how long we would take or when to stop. It was a 4p group so everything was quite relaxed. And he answered with a smile all the 1000 questions I had about Namibian culture and history. Very knowledgeable!

    An amazing 3 days trip
My 3 day Etosha Budget Camping Safari was one of the most amazing trips I ever did. Our guide Raymond was very kind and also our personal cook. Even after a long day out, he still had energy to prepare a wonderful meal. The tents we used were easy to put up and also robust. I would recommend this trip to all the people that are interested in wildlife and sleeping in a comfortable tent.

An amazing, bumpy, dusty 12 day camping tour
The guides for the trip, Kennedy and Bronie, made this tour great! They were so friendly, so dedicated, and so much fun that the bumps along the way (like a flat tire and maintenance problems with the truck) were quickly forgotten by the group. These guys worked 24/7 for nearly two weeks with a smile on their faces and quick to help with any problems. The tour itself is a complete overview of almost anything you'd want to see in Namibia, which means a lot of time driving in the van, but the safaris are packed with animals and the nature landscape is incredible. Having a good group of fellow tourists helped a lot to keep the mood upbeat and fun.

    Great day in Windhoek
Gideon was very knowledgeable, and pleasant. Overall, very enjoyable. We went on a Saturday, when museums are closed, weekday tours might better accommodate a drop off in town to visit museum.

    The best experience in Namibia
It was the best experience in Namibia. Desert was beautiful and also there were lot of star at night. It will be unforgettable experience for me. Especially Raymond, the guide of this tour, was very friendly and professional. The price was also affordable, it includes meals, guide, accomodation and a transportation. I recommend this tour. You must do it when you visit Namibia!!

    Beautiful experience
I loved the experience. It took a while to see the cheetahs, but when it happened, it was terrific. The place where we had to start the tour didn’t have food options, so I ended up starving but didn’t mind based on the overall experience.

    A preview of Namibia
Joseph was my guide and he was knowledgeable and friendly! He welcomed all questions (even the sensitive ones) and I didn't feel like I was bothering him. It gives you a glimpse into the country's past and current situations Definitely an eye opening and humbling experience to see people living in the township. I also liked that we visited Penduka and seeing the BTS of handmade crafts, and learning about the initiatives to empower women. As well, trying kepana was a highlight! Highly recommend this tour

9 Day Canyons, Dunes and Wildlife
This was a great tour with a combination of safari lodge and camping. Across the 9 days we saw so many fascinating things and were really well looked after. Kennedy ran the first part of the tour and was always friendly and helpful with great knowledge and connection with the places we visited. Smithy and Chillo took the second part. They were amazing with the distances travelled, knowledge of the area and they provided great help with all the meals, set up, pack downs. Really friendly and nothing was too much effort. They were mindful of everyone's needs and preferences. A great tour all round.

    Sand, sea and Etosha
We went on the 6 day camping safari and had an amazing experience! It was a lot to fit into 6 days but Josef, our guide, navigated us effortlessly and was a one-man army of driving, guiding, cooking and all the logistics. Highly recommend Chameleon Safaris and Josef as guide.

    Our guide was amazing.
Our guide, Geoffrey, is a remarkable, talented, patient, efficient, young man. He drove, cooked our meals, wrangled luggage, organized activities, and drove some more!! We highly recommend Geoffrey as your guide, regardless of your tour.

    Words do not do justice
6 Days Dunes & Wildlife We did the 6 Days Dunes & Wildlife tours. This journey has trully convinced me that Africa is a rich and beautiful massive continent, more specifically Namibia. And we may have just only scratched the surface. Etosha was just jaw dropping, we were in the middle of the animal kingdom and saw a lioness devoured a zebra. We even saw batches of elephant families taking turn drinking the water, with some rhinos, hyennas and springboks drank the water from a safe distance. The tribal villages of Herero, Damara and Himba were uniqe and an awakening for us of how lucky we are with our everyday’s way of living. Sossusvlei was just an another world, with special mention of Deadvlei. One of the hardest activity I had to endure, but is the most mindblowing and amazing. Last but not least, the Cheetah Solitaire conservation…love, love, love…3000. Chameleon does a thorough and amazing itinerary, and Gregory our guide, has done above and beyond in executing it. He did everything from driving us, explaining things and even cooked for us. Gregory looked after us attentively and we felt very comfortable, well informed and well fed for sure. His knowledge about places of interest and history is very well, his driving skill is superb, and his cookings were just excellent. We were never in a rush nor hurried during this trip, but yet he managed to get from one place to another on time. Additionally, we met new people from other countries and made great friendships in this trip. I hope we will have the chance again to do more exciting African trips like this in the future. I left my heart in Namibia. Big thanks to the Chameleon team, and a special shout out to Gregory. You guys exceeded our expectations.

    A journey to remember
This tour is one of the best tour (or perhaps the best) I’ve ever participated. All started with good communication with the Chameleon office (Susie and Machedo) who assisted the queries and payment. On the D day, we were picked up at our Windhoek accommodation to be taken to Chameleon office where we were offered refreshment and briefed about the tour. The tour covered Etosha National Park, a visit to local tribes of Herero, Damara and Himba and the dunes in Sossusvlei. The trip was well organized so we experience new experience everyday from seeing abundant animals in Etosha, learning the traditional life of Himba tribe to witness the stunning Deadvlei with our own eyes. The transplantation was comfortable. The accommodation during the trip was beyond expectation. If I must to choose the star of the trip was the well curated program and our guide, the wonderful Gregory. Gregory took a very good care of our needs, possesses broad knowledge and is good cook. I may say all is beyond our expectation. If you have 6 days to explore the beautiful country of Namibia, this tour is perfect for you.

Booked this tour spontaneously, still everything was perfectly organized. Our guide Gregory took great care, shared his extensive knowledge about Windhoek, patiently answered a whole bunch of questions and in between all seriousness was up for a witty chat as well. I always felt safe and was able to really take in the different facets of the city. Also, definitely try the local food at the Single Quarters Market. Might not look like European standard, but it tastes absolutely amazing!

I was skeptical about booking a tour on a Sunday but it turned out to be the best time for it. Josef, my guide ensured I was comfortable the entire time and had such detailed insights and information about all the places we visited. After being in Windhoek a week, I believe this was the best way to get a true feeling, sense and knowledge of the city, it’s culture, history and local flavors. Go for it!

They should be how every traveler to Windhoek kicks off their vacation! There is no better way to begin to know the city and surrounding area then with a great tour by Josef, who led us through the historical downtown, the vibrant market, and the surrounding Township, all with fantastic commentary. I felt like I attended a college course in one morning and learned so much! Thanks to Josef for the great knowledge!

This was a very interesting tour, which showed us the many sides of Windhoek. Our guide Raymond was very patient and friendly, and since he was a local, he gave us some insider informations, which were interesting to hear. The Community Market in the township was a very unique experience. I’d recommend this tour to anyone, who also wants to see the less urban face of Windhoek.

A nice thing to do before/after safari to see a bit of Windhoek. The guide was nice, knowledgeable, and will answer any questions. Highlight of Katutura stop is the Penduka women's workshop where you can buy some fine crafts made on site.

It was a great tour of the city and the township. Our guide, Joseph, has the perfect personality of a tour guide. He was very friendly, courteous and very knowledgeable of the places that we visited. His great interaction with people in several places we visited tell me he is a well-like person. It was a compact trip but I learned a lot about Windhoek.

Joseph was a kind guide, a great host and driver. The inner city part of the trip was as described, with decent amount of information and insight. The market visit was eye-opening and while I couldn't partake in the food, I still really enjoyed the experience. Then the Katatura visit was a fascinating peek behind the curtain of reality. And of course, Penduka was a the clear highlight. Who doesn't love a social enterprise that empowers creative women? Highly recommend this organized tour company. The only thing that would make the experience hit higher is if I could have seen some visual aides - this country is so new and has clearly gone through so much change - it would have been fascinating to see some photos/maps/drawings/graphs to complement the stellar auditory explanation and kinesthetic engagement.

Just finished this tour, very impressive! Mainly due to the guide Gregory who is so polite, knowledgeable, considerate, and with his special connection, we were able to visit the real life of Township and experience the local market and taste the delicious bits, all done safely. Otherwise it wouldn’t be possible for a solo female traveler to do so. Thank you so much!

When I met Raymond the tour guide, he was already a very spontaneous very kind person. He showed me around to many places and got me to taste the local 'braai' with some very good spices. Not only that, but also an overal view and inside look of the life in the township was presented to me beautifully by him. I highly recommend this trip and he will make it worthwhile for you!
