Maui Haleakala Sunrise Bike Tour
US$207,29
Overview
Combine a biking tour with a chance to catch the beautiful sunrise above Haleakala while vacationing in Hawaii. Along with round-trip transport, bike rental, and entrance fees, your tour is led by a guide who knows the area well: meaning they're the best person to get you safely through more than 25 miles (40 kilometers) of the Haleakala National Park. Plus, hotel pickup and drop-off are included for added convenience.
What to Expect
Your bike tour starts with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Maui. Before you board the vehicle, enjoy some morning snacks, juice, and coffee while you listen to your upcoming itinerary.

Once you hop in the vehicle, relax on the ride over to Haleakala National Park. Learn about the history of the volcano from your guide as you ride to the top. At Haleakala, your guide takes you to the rim of the crater to catch sight of the stunning sunrise.

Afterward, your bike tour starts at 6,500 feet (1,981 meters) below the crater. Get comfortable with a bike and helmet, and follow your guide down to the sands of Paia Bay. Pass Kula, Makawao, and Paia on your way to the beach.

Your tour ends with a ride back to your hotel in Maui.

Sunrise experience ruined by uncomfortably cold temperatures

Yes of course, it's cold at 10,000 feet above sea level, but when your website advertises pants will be provided, and "we don't do pants anymore, they get caught in the bicycle chains." as your family is standing in shorts!. It was 27 degrees that...More

Very Expensive, Very Fun

One of the things we wanted to do is to ride bikes down the volcano Haleakala and see the sunrise. We heard it was spectacular. We used Mountain Riders as the company to help us do that. The morning of the ride, a nice air...More

Disappointing

Over priced and frankly disappointing Our sunrise was cloudy so we didn’t see a thing- but that’s ok because that’s nature you can’t avoid that! But the actual bike tour was terrible. A few people in our group were too scared to ride from the...More

Great views of the sun rising but cold....

Overall a pretty good tour. Views were awesome at the top but it's a little cold, no a lot cold! Tour provides jackets so helps tremendously. Bike ride was awesome, being all downhill not much pedaling. Views were great but wish we stopped a few...More

I would talk to them directly but I don't think there would be any issues with you doing the tour as long as you can ride a bike! I think they take kids as well. They adjust the bikes for each person.
