What to Expect
Meet your guide at pickup from your San Ignacio accommodations and drive to the nearby archaeological site of Xunantunich, crossing the Mopan River on a traditional hand-cranked ferry to reach the hilltop ruins. Learn the history of this ancient Maya city as you explore the remnants of palaces, ball courts, and the imposing El Castillo temple, which offers expansive jungle views from the top. Take a break for an included lunch before heading to the entrance of a massive underground cave system. Our guides were great! Very knowledgeable and fun. Lunch was delicious. Loved that all the plates, silverware etc. were reusable and they didn’t use any single-use plastics at lunch. Highly recommend this trip! It is a full day so keep that mind.

Thank you for taking time to write a review. We are so happy you had a memorable day with St Leonard's Tours. Elio is an exceptional guide who always strives to give all guests an unforgettable experience at both the incredible Xunantunich and cave tubing. We do our best to give a little extra when ever possible and one way is by taking the detour to crystal cave for whoever is up for the challenge. Its also great to hear you had an enjoyable meal and even remembered everything you ate!! Thank you once again and we look forward to taking you on another great adventure the next time you are in our neck of the woods.
