Half-Day Grand Tour of Washington DC

Overview

Avoid the stress of renting a car and navigating on your own on this 4-hour bus tour of Washington DC. A guide provides entertaining historical context, as you pass more than 50 of the city’s iconic landmarks, including the White House, Capitol Building, Lincoln Memorial, and National Mall. Unlike most city bus tours, a small group size ensures you have the guide's full attention for questions and comments.

What to Expect

At 10:30am, meet the tour guide at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Downtown Washington. Rather than walking notoriously long distances between each landmark, experience DC from the comfort of a tour bus.

Enjoy live commentary and historical background, as you pass more than 50 points of interest—more than you could ever see in one day on foot. The guide points out landmarks that are easy to miss if exploring alone, including the Watergate Hotel, the unmarked FBI building, and the President’s Guest House.

Over the course of the day, stop for photos at six of DC’s most iconic locations, including the White House, Lincoln Memorial, Jefferson Memorial, and Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial. After approximately 4 hours, the tour ends at the original point of departure.

Knowledgeable guide but boring monotone

The guide was very knowledgeable but was difficult for our 11 and 12 year old grandchildren to understand with his accent. The four of us were bored with his monotone monologue. I would not recommend this tour.

Firstly, the coach was filthy! Yesterday's rubbish, nut shells and rubbish throughout the coach. It really did need a good clean! Some seats broken, we had to move as the back of the seat kept reclining on tho the person behind. Other travellers seats broken...More
