Great tour group!
The actual tours of the facility were handled by the workers there however this was Great tour company. They sent a very nice driver who was great on time and super accommodating as he handled both ticket purchases/pick ups for us. He even stopped by a monastery because we had a bit of extra time. Vehicle was also clean and comfortable for the trip. Would highly recommend this tour group to anyone that wants to visit Auschwitz and the salt mine stress free.

Wonderful experience

I wasn't aware of the Salt mines before arranging the trip to krackow and it was a revelation. Amazing beauty and it brings you into a world that I never knew existed. Auschwitz is something that you should do when you are in that region but not for the faint hearted. But we need to remember so that we don't repeat.

A moving day
Anyone visiting Krakow should do these tours, wether to do both in one day is another matter.
Booked these 2 tours in uk before I arrived and pick up/ drop off at airport got £170 for 2 people, through Krakow Direct
Auschwitz/Birkenau tour was a real eye open. I’d read up and seen films about it but nothing prepares you actually being there. A must for educational purposes.
Salt mines was a good tour with plenty to see. Only things that let Salt mines down was a very large group and struggled sometimes to hear guide speak even though we had headphones.

Full Day Trip
Feb 2020 • Family
Full day trip, started by hotel collection at 8.15am sharp, as planned, in a comfortable bus. Drove an hour and 20 mins to Auschwitz, met tour guide Maria (was brought by our guide on bus to our tour guide) was given a well informed, very respectful tour, quick toilet break (get early tour was very busy when we were leaving compared to when we arrived at Auschwitz) and on to Birkenau (5 mins drive away) and was brought by our guide on bus to Maria (tour guide) who again gave us a very informed, heart felt tour of Birkenau (brisk walking tour, definitely quite a lot of walking on this tour all day long). An hour and 20 mins drive (we were told several times that the travel time was traffic depending) after a quick break again after Birkenau tour on to the Salt Mines. At this stage we were feeling tired but it was time for food and this break definitely helped. Salt mines were amazing... we were tired and it was decided we needed to do a 15 min walk to the middle of the mine for the “quick lift”, we were very tired at this time, I think people should be offered to wait for the nearby lift or agree to the walk, (I’m fit but still felt tired from so much walking) but the mines were amazing. Dropped into city centre at our request and bus guide was only too happy to help, rather than go back directly to our hotel, and again had amazing food. Great trip overall, but be very prepared to walk lots!

A must do while in Krakow
Did this trip on Friday 21st February from hotel Pollera. It is a very well planned day, Auschwitz/Birkenau very moving. Our guide for this part of the trip, a lady whose name I can’t remember, was very good and also the driver of our mini bus. Comfortable transport, plenty of breaks and a good restaurant for lunch.

Auschwitz/Birkenau and the Saltmines

Amazing day.
Collected from our hotel - one that was listed but I requested a pick up. Collected on time, our driver was lovely. There was 6 of us in our transport. We could chat on the way between stops. Much better than a coach. We were taken to Auschwitz where our driver made sure we were taken to the correct guide. Whilst it was busy, we didn’t feel rushed, our driver was waiting to transport us to Birkenau and we rendezvoused with the same guide. After we finished we made our way back to our driver who delivered us to the Saltmines. We were give advice by our driver about what we could take in, we eft backpacks inside the vehicle so we didn’t have to worry.
It was a long day, harrowing in parts, definitely emotional.
I would highly recommend this tour. 5 stars .

Worth every penny

We got picked up from the hotel down the road, our driver was really nice. We went to Auschwitz and we had a tour guide who was very informative, even though it was busy we didn’t feel like we were rushed. We then went to Birkenau with our tour guide and again, didn’t feel rushed. Afterwards we were taken to the salt mine and were able to get a bite to eat. I advise you to take snakes and water on the trip but you can also buy them at every stop. We were out from 9am-7pm and it was such an eye opening trip. 100% recommend

Excellent Trip
Jan 2020
As previous reviewers have mentioned this is quite a long day - we left Krakow at 9am and returned at about 7.15pm. There is a fair amount of walking involved and a lot of stairs to descend at the Salt Mine but we found it perfectly manageable - thankfully a lift takes you back up to ground level at the end of the tour! We were a group of 3 friends and took the private car option - our driver was very punctual, he met us outside our apartment and was very helpful queuing with us to ensure that we got into Auschwitz - it was very busy during our visit as the 75th Anniversary memorial events were going on and we had to go through airport style security. The Auschwitz-Birkeneau tour is extremely sobering - difficult to accept that human beings could have been treated in such a way but the tour is managed very respectfully and it is important to remember the many thousands that lost their lives in this horrific place. The Salt Mines are a totally different experience and a good way to lighten the mood after visiting the death camps - very interesting and the sheer scale of the place is quite mind blowing! All in all a very worthwhile day out and would highly recommend it if you are staying in Krakow for more than a couple of nights.

Very informative tour - lots of walking and long day but worth it.

We were very happy with this trip, driver picked us up on time in the morning outside our hotel and was very friendly and helpful.
The trip to Auschwitz was very emotional but very informative, we had a great knowledgeable guide. It was very busy the day we went due to the 75 years of liberation of Auschwitz but this didn't effect our tour. Its a strange feeling in there, very quiet most people walk around in silence, very emotional at times but I'm pleased I went and learnt more about it. And you get little headphones so you can all hear the guide clearly. There is a little shop where you can buy hot drinks and snacks outside and you get some time to purchase anything you need or use the loo. We were here for a few hours and then taken to the other camp which is only a few minutes’ drive away, were we met the guide again.
We then went onto the Salt mines tour which was around an hour drive away - again was very informative and enjoyable with another great guide. Before we went into the Salt mines our driver had booked us a table in a local restaurant outside the salt mines which was fantastic, beautiful food and very reasonable prices.
We really did find this trip informative and so pleased we went. It’s a long day doing the camps and salt mine in the same day and there is an awful lot of walking.
I recommend this trip. It was great to combine both tours as we were only away for the weekend so was able to fit them both in.
