Full-Day Tour to Auschwitz-Birkenau and Wieliczka Salt Mine from Krakow
From US$76,03
Overview

Travel between two of Krakow’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites with ease during a day trip to  Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum and the Wieliczka Salt Mine. As well as convenient hotel pickup and drop-off, you’ll get skip-the-line entry to both landmarks. A guided tour reveals information you may otherwise miss if you visit these sights on your own.

What to Expect

Following pickup from your Krakow hotel in the morning, you’ll travel to Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum, a UNESCO-listed former Nazi concentration camp. (The drive is about 1.5 hours.) A timed ticket allows you to bypass long lines outside of the complex and start your guided tour immediately.

After two hours visiting the former SS administrative center and Holocaust memorial, you’ll have a break to purchase lunch.

The next stop is the  Wieliczka Salt Mine, another UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you’ll descend into the tunnels of one of the world’s oldest salt mines. During a 3-hour tour, you'll see saline lakes and sculptures carved from salt before returning to the surface via an elevator. The tour concludes with hotel drop-off in Krakow.

Very moving, excellent day

This was an excellent day, and I would recommend this most highly. Just a few comments. We had 6 people on our tour and I would have thought the tour leader would get us to perhaps introduce ourselves and where we were all from, although...More

Bit let down

Practical info: - This is a 12 hour day - Lunch wasn't until 2:30 so bring snacks for the bus - Can only take a bag the size of an A4 sheet inside Auschwitz (but you can leave larger bags inside the van) Review: Our...More
