The pristine Whitsunday Islands—known for their relaxing white sand beaches and untouched natural beauty—are a place where you don’t want to experience trip-planning stress. On this Whitehaven Beach cruise, all the details are all taken care of, including a hike to Solway Circuit Lookout, Chance Bay, and Hill Inlet. A mix of guided walks and free time combines the best elements of an organized and self-guided tour.

What to Expect

Following pickup from your hotel in Hamilton Island or Port Airlie, travel to Whitehaven Beach for a few hours of free time. Once there, your guide sets up beach tents, games, and a picnic lunch to be enjoyed at your leisure.

Take a guided boat tour to Hill Inlet and disembark for a gentle walk to a lookout point. Here, take in panoramic views of the archipelago and learn about the area’s history.

Then, back at Whitehaven Beach, set off on a moderate 4.5-mile (7-kilometer) hike along a nature trail that leads to Solway Circuit Lookout and Chance Bay.

At the end of your tour, enjoy afternoon tea on a relaxing cruise around the Whitsundays. The tour concludes with hotel drop-off.
