Highlights
Segway tour of Queenstown: an eco-friendly ride
Itinerary covers more ground than a walking tour
Opt for a longer ride that includes Queenstown Gardens
Small-group experience capped at 8 participants
What to expect
Get an introduction to New Zealand’s ‘adventure capital’ on a 1- or 2-hour Segway tour of Queenstown. From the centrally located meeting point, a shuttle transfers you on a short ride to the starting point. After your guide demonstrates how to operate the Segway and outfits you with a helmet, take some time to practice steering and powering the easy controls. Once you’re comfortable, you’ll set off to explore Queenstown, following your guide in a small group toward Lake Wakatipu. Stop at one or two scenic spots for photo ops and continue your 1-hour tour along the bay, or select a 2-hour tour that includes more terrain.  1-hour tour: Enjoy a basic overview of Queenstown and its stunning surroundings with a spin around Queenstown Bay, an inlet on Lake Wakatipu. Take in outstanding views of the Remarkables, Cecil Peak and Walter Peak looming just above the resort town as you ride from Earnslaw Park past St Omer Park, Marine Parade and the Queenstown Gardens. 2-hour tour:Put your skills to the test with another hour of fun on your eco-friendly Segway. Enjoy commentary from your guide as you cruise along the shoreline of Lake Wakatipu before you venture a bit out of Queenstown. You’ll glide up a hill or two — certainly more fun on a Segway than on foot — and glide through Queenstown Gardens to see botanical exhibits on display. On the return ride, you have the option to try out a higher speed setting to glide at a quicker pace.

Fun way to see Queenstown
Apr 2021 • Couples
We had a great time exploring Queenstown on the Segways! It’s an awesome way to see all that the city has to offer in only an hour- my favourite part was the gardens. Kevin is a great teacher and made us feel super safe. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would highly recommend to anybody!

Beat way to see Queenstown and have fun at the same time!
Mar 2021 • Couples
So much fun!! Quite the adventure too! We have been to Segway on Q twice now after today and both times were exceptional! Extremely well looked after by Kevin (Miguel our first time last year!) Over and above service like taking us on a different path today since we had been before, teaching us new skills to build on what we learnt last time and showing us a part of Queenstown we didn't even know existed!! Will be back next time for a third go 👌🏻

The best way to see Queenstown!
Jan 2021
Our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teens) thoroughly enjoyed the 2 hour tour. Segways are the best way to familiarise yourself with Queenstown - by the end of the tour we were zooming confidently around town. Stopping for a quick go of 'frisbee golf' in the beautiful Botanical Gardens was fun too.

A Must Do for ALL!
Oct 2020
It was the best thing we did in Queenstown. Our tour guide was so lovely, my daughter(13 Yrs old) and I did the one hour tour and it was a blast. The photos are so cool and we saw parks in the main township we never knew were there. Highly recommend this as a must-do.

Easy, Safe and FUN
Dec 2020
The 2 hour tour was lots of fun. My wife and I found the Segways very easy to learn to ride and Kevin was a great instructor - friendly, easygoing but safety conscious. They are great machines to get around on and we felt confident on them very quickly. Amazing at climbing steep hills and covering rough ground but also easy to control when going through the township. A great introduction to Queenstown on our first day in town. Very highly recommended. Greg & Wenjie
