The Best of Waiheke: Ziplining, Wine Tasting and Vineyard Lunch
From US$186,15
Overview

The sandy beaches, vineyards, and olive groves of Waiheke Island are a quick 40-minute ferry ride from Auckland. This tour combines an adrenaline-fuelled zipline experience with a wine tasting tour and a delicious lunch overlooking the vineyards, so you can enjoy incredible views of the island and discover the famous Waiheke wine region all in one day.

What to Expect

Arrive at Auckland Ferry Terminal for the 40-minute ride to Waiheke Island. From there, board a minivan to the zipline center, where your small group receives a safety briefing from a guide who sets you off on three flights.

Zipline over Waiheke Island’s valley and vineyards. Upon landing, follow an easy 1-mile (1.5-km) path to the visitor center.

Sate your appetite with a light lunch and wine tasting at Stonyridge Vineyard. You travel there by air-conditioned coach and join a larger group for your afternoon tour.

Follow lunch with a tour and tasting of award-winning olive oil at Rangihoua Estate.

Next up is Casita Miro Vineyard for wine sampling.

Your tour concludes at Mudbrick Vineyard where you sip wine overlooking Hauraki Gulf.

Your driver returns you for a late-afternoon ferry to Auckland. Alternatively, use your complimentary bus pass to explore the island on your own and return on a later ferry.

Adventure and Relaxation

The ziplining provided a great view of the Waiheke island as well as some thrills. It was extremely easy, even if you had never done ziplining before, and wasn't physically demanding (except the hike back to the building afterwards). Wine tasting provided some extraordinary wines...More

Great combo tour of the island

Had a great time on the zip wires with Jake and Gabby. Gabby was very passionate about the environment, giving a very informative talk on the walk back up. The vineyard tours were good, Casa Miro being my favourite, would like to have stayed longer....More

Yes. I think that you would be fine. Of course getting strapped into the zip would be a little tougher, but the brakes on them work without your effort. The walking for the wine tour might be a little more difficult, but it... More
