Wave Rock, York, Wildflowers, and Aboriginal Cultural Tour from Perth
From US$164,40
Overview
With transportation already included, you can focus on the sights and the history of Western Australia on this tour from Perth, stopping at landmarks such as Wave Rock and the township of York. Visit the Gnamma Holes, considered to be a sacred site among Aborigines and learn about the area's aboriginal culture through your guide's commentary. Hotel pickup and drop-off and an Aussie-style country lunch make this a stress-free, all-inclusive tour.
What to Expect
Begin the day with convenient hotel pickup from Perth. Then relax in the tour vehicle and enjoy the scenery as you head toward the day's first stop: Avon Valley's founding town of York. A quick stop allows you to have a look around and purchase morning tea or coffee, if desired, before moving on to Hyden and a cemetery dedicated to the hardworking sheepdogs of the area.

Admire the rock formation known as Hippo's Yawn and then sit down for an Aussie-style country lunch before heading on to the impressive Wave Rock. Snap some photos and learn about its formation before visiting Gnamma Holes and discovering its importance in the aboriginal community. Stop at Mulka’s Cave, a hollowed-out boulder, and the granite formation called the Humps. Then drive back to Perth, taking a different route that includes a stop in Babakin for afternoon tea (own expense).

Quite a long ride but worth it to see the inner WA

Though it is a rather long ride, the coach is very comfortable with washrooms. It is a good way to experience something about the inland of WA, farming etc. But I must say the lunch is not very good with some canned vegetables and fruit....More

Nice but long

Wave rock and the indigenous cave were really neat. However, the trip was 14 hours long for what amounts to probably 1.5 hours at the actual wave rock location. York and the cemetery were quite silly. Lunch was quite mediocre.

Enjoyable long bus ride

This tour takes about 4.5 hours from the city center. Such a long drive but enjoyed the coach ride and it's also comfortable. Recommended for those who haven't really seen rock formations but for me who had seen many, I say that it's not so...More

Wave rock day trip

The tour was good overall but it was a very long day of nearly 13 hours, The tour guide was very informative but I think I could have done without the history of Perth as far back when the aborigines settled in the area. One...More
