Overview
Experience Melbourne and the Yarra River from a unique perspective: in a kayak. On this 2.5-hour tour, paddle to the heart of the city and see landmarks such as Turning Basin, the Melbourne Maritime Museum, and Crown Casino. Or paddle upstream to check out the legendary Melbourne Cricket Ground, Royal Botanic Gardens, and Herring Island. This guided tour, suitable for all experience levels, includes all equipment and light refreshments.
What to Expect

Meet your guide in central Melbourne, on the south side of the Yarra River. After getting outfitted with your kayak, paddles, and life vest, set out on your 3.5-hour kayak adventure.

During your relaxing journey—this trip is perfect for beginners and those who want to enjoy an easy paddle without waves—pass famous landmarks such as the Old Customs House, the Melbourne Cricket Ground, and Crown Casino as well as a number of historical ships. Your guide provides informative commentary about the history of the city and its nautical past as you go. If you select the twilight tour, get spectacular waterfront views of a Crown Casino pyrotechnics display.

After a couple of hours paddling, head back to your departure point, where you enjoy snacks and light refreshments before ending your tour.

This is none of my favourite sea kayak tours, combining views of Melbourne and fish and chips for lunch. I will pass your comments onto Dane. Please come again and try another sea kayak tour.

Sorry to say but I would not recommend this provider. I have done such kayak tours in other destinations and have had a much nicer experience. What to improve: the tour is too expensive for what it is! Faaaar to expensive. It’s actually not a...More

See the city from a different perspective

We had a great day out on the Yarra, paddling down to Bolte bridge and back through the city. It was great fun, and it was wonderful to see the city from this perspective. I have been along the bank of the river many times,...More
