Overview
The beautiful beaches, bushlands, and nature reserves of Phillip Island lie just south of Melbourne. On this tour, enjoy four unforgettable wildlife encounters in one day—spot kangaroos at the Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park, tour a working sheep farm on Churchill Island, visit the Koala Conservation Centre, and watch the Penguin Parade on Summerland Beach.
What to Expect
After pickup from your Melbourne hotel, set out on the around 1.5-hour journey to Phillip Island, traveling by air-conditioned minivan. Before crossing the bridge to the island, make your first stop along the Mornington Peninsula to visit the Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park. Follow the Wallaby Walk and spot a wide variety of native Australian animals, including wallabies, kangaroos, koalas, and dingoes.

After lunch at a local restaurant, visit the Churchill Island Heritage Farm, a working farm where you can watch a sheep shearing demonstration and see the sheepdogs at work. Finally, set out to explore Phillip Island, starting with the Koala Conservation Centre, where you can admire koalas in their natural habitat.

Stop to see the Nobbies rock formations, Seal Rocks, and Cape Woolamai, before heading to Summerland Beach to watch the evening Penguin Parade. Finish the day watching hundreds of Little Penguins waddling across the beach to their burrows, before returning to Melbourne. Your tour ends with drop-off at your hotel.

Brilliant!

This tour was amazing. Loved every minute. Our tour guide, Rob, was great and very informative. I can't fault the day from start to finish. The penguin parade was adorable and feeding the kangaroos and wallabies was so much fun!
