Overnight Kangaroo Island Wildlife Adventure from Adelaide
From US$296,68
Skip sightseeing for a packed 2-day adventure on Kangaroo Island, a gem of a destination with a ton of wildlife. Enjoy a well-planned tour—including a round-trip ferry, all activity and entrance fees, and 1-night accommodations on a farm—with some flexibility. Opt for snorkeling, hiking, or quad-biking in addition to the fixed itinerary. Chances are you will spot kangaroos and koalas in the wild.
What to Expect
Your overnight Kangaroo Island adventure begins with a pickup from select Adelaide hotels. Board your bus and head toward Kangaroo Island along the Fleurieu Peninsula. After a roughly 90-minute drive, take a ferry to Penneshaw where you stock up on supplies.

Your first stop on the island is Pennington Bay. Take advantage of the time spent here by snapping photos of the scenic beach and spotting dolphins.

Continue to the white-sand beach of Seal Bay, where Australian sea lions doze. Then, move to Flinders Chase National Park, home to the Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch geological features.

After the day’s activities, stop at a farm at the edge of the national park. Have dinner, and spend the evening swapping stories next to a campfire. Spend the night at the farm.

The following day, start with a hike while searching for kangaroos, koalas, and echidnas, the shy spiny anteaters. During the summer, spend time swimming and snorkeling near Vivonne Bay, Hanson Bay, or Stokes Bay instead.

In the afternoon sand board down Little Sahara dunes, kayak along the Harriet River, or opt for quad-biking (own expense).

Then, make the return journey to Adelaide and get dropped off at your original departure point.
