Overview
The UNESCO-listed landscapes of the Daintree Rainforest stretch north of Port Douglas, all the way to Cape Tribulation. On this tour, see wild crocodiles as you cruise along the Daintree River, enjoy lunch in the heart of the rainforest, then journey to the remote headland of Cape Tribulation for spectacular views over the Great Barrier Reef.
What to Expect
After pickup from your Cairns or Port Douglas hotel, travel north into the Daintree rainforest by air-conditioned vehicle. Set sail on a 1-hour wildlife cruise along the Daintree River, looking out for wild crocodiles, as well as exotic birds, snakes, and flying foxes.

Continue into the rainforest, stopping to take in the views from the Alexander Range Lookout and visit the fascinating Daintree Entomological Museum. Tuck into a delicious lunch in the museum grounds, with a choice of steak, barramundi fish, or vegetarian options. After lunch, enjoy free time to relax or take a swim in the river.

In the afternoon, visit the remote headland of Cape Tribulation, the only point on earth where two UNESCO World Heritage sites meet—the Daintree rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef. Take a guided walk through the Cape Tribulation National Park, before setting out on the return journey to Cairns or Port Douglas, driving through the Alexander Range and crossing the river by cable barge.

The Dairtree Rainforest is worth the visit, I'm not sure Trek North is the best tour.

Driver was not very helpful or responsive. He clearly liked his own jokes, but paid little mind to passenger questions. Worst of all, they had no water or other beverages available on the tour van despite spending the entire day in tropical jungle heat. The...More
