All tours include a ride on the Kuranda Scenic Railway, through the heart of the Barron Gorge National Park. The 1.5-hour journey climbs through the mountain valleys, passing the dramatic Stoney Creek Bridge, and affording spectacular views over Kuranda Waterfall and the Barron Gorge.

Additional options include a thrilling ride on the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway, which soars over the Barron Gorge National Park, stopping at treetop viewpoints along the way; an off-road adventure in the Rainforestation Nature Park; or an immersive cultural experience at the Tjupakai Aboriginal Cultural Park.

This is a 19th Century train going at very low speed through the mountains to Kuranda, with all its advantages and disadvantages.

This was a fantastic journey, good views, and the village of Kuranda is a must to see. This village was small, but with lovely food outlets, shops and it also had the Aborigine touch. Well worth a visit.

Great train journey

We travelled on the scenic railway with 2 families. Kids really enjoyed riding on an old fashioned train. Adults enjoyed the relaxing ride down. The stop at Barron Falls was a highlight! Great views! Enjoyed listening to the commentary along the way..More

Hi mate, The Skyrail and Kuranda train are sole providers of this service. The train goes up and returns at set times, you'll find the schedule on the website. The skyrail leaves every 15 minutes at each end. You can go... More

Yes - give yourself plenty of time if visiting the attractions. There is an excellent visitor information centre at Kuranda.
