What to Expect
This walking tour takes you to historic pubs in Sydney’s The Rocks neighborhood that you might not ordinarily find on your own. Follow a guide through the cobbled alleyways of the city’s oldest neighborhood to learn about the history of the British colony in Australia. Stop at four historic pubs, some of Sydney’s oldest, to sample a glass of beer or cider at each, giving you great ideas of where you’d like to return during the rest of your stay in Sydney.

Learn about diverse topics such as larrikin gangs, the bubonic plague outbreak, Australia’s first drink, and the origin of the six o’clock swill. Traveling with a small group of fellow drinks and history lovers allows you to enter the pubs unobtrusively and maintain an intimate atmosphere. You’re also guaranteed plenty of attention from your guide, with plenty of time to ask any questions.

Wow what a great way to spend the afternoon in Sydney. Drinking good beers, seeing the historical pubs (4 with an optional 5th), and learning so much about the history of the rocks/Sydney. Highlight though was Gary the tour guide. Top bloke👍
