Overview
Take a day trip from Sydney to the spectacular Blue Mountains, leaving the navigation and transportation to someone else. Soak in the mountains’ scenery and enjoy all the region’s must-dos on a tour that covers the main sites in one day and also includes lunch and entrance fees. Plus, unlike many tours, your trip includes time at the Waradah Aboriginal Centre to see an indigenous dance.
What to Expect
After central Sydney pickup, relax during your ride to the Blue Mountains in a comfortable, 20-seater minivan.

Cross Sydney Harbour Bridge and visit award-winning Featherdale Wildlife Park, where you’ll see kangaroos, koalas, and crocodiles. Continue into the Blue Mountains, stopping at a clifftop viewpoint to gaze at the Jamison Valley—a rain forest-filled ravine framed by sandstone cliffs.

After a 2-course lunch at a golf club (dietary requirements can be accommodated), stop at the region’s capital, Katoomba. Visit Scenic World and experience the Scenic Railway, Rainforest Walkway, and glass-bottomed Skyway cableway for 360-degree views of the Katoomba Falls, Three Sisters, and the Jamison Valley.

Next, head to Waradah Aboriginal Centre to experience didgeridoo music and a traditional dance before a ferry ride to Sydney along the Parramatta River. Pass Sydney Harbour’s landmarks, including the Opera House and disembark at Circular Quay, where your trip concludes.

We were picked up at the hotel around 7 am, and returned to Circular Quay around 6 pm, so the tour was about 11 hours. A very full day, but well worth it.

Tour was well organized and promptly timed. You don't see everything but the major spots. If you have seen some mountains before it is enough time spent. You don't want to miss the boat tour in the evening.
